Genius, megalomaniac, sophisticated, compromising even, Superman obsessed to kill him, arrogant and proud. It’s hated because John Cryer is not an intimidating person, or man. At all. Lex Luthor is someone you look at and fear, not because he’s jacked up like a wrestler or anything but because he has more of a macho presence to him than John Cryer can portray. Nothing against him as an actor, he did his best rendition of Lex. But again, there’s nothing scary, intense or intimidating about him. Lex is all of those things. Personally, aside from Gene Hackman in the OG Christopher Reeves films. I’d have to give it to Michael Rosenbaum in Smallville for playing one of the most evil, intimidating and brutal Luther’s to be shown on screen. Again, I’ve liked everything else I’ve seen John Cryer in, he’s a great actor. Even as Lenny Luthor in Superman IV, he was hilarious in that. But as the man himself, Lex. Not so much.

Nothing prevents her from standing up, she even has a free hand.
The reason I like this Luthor is not because he's The Spider that's pulling the strings of his webs or The Wolf that would kill his pack to win, this version always reminded me of a Cat, talking and playing with his food that was unaware of its fate

Seeing my favorite version of Lex Luther from the comics and my favorite Clark Kent from my favorite series Smallville just made my day
