But anytime I'm sick w/ the flu or come up with anything strange I take it to The Lord. But I also take myself to the doctor. I am on medicine for it and I'm making gradual changes to my diet But I still pray about it and trust God. Isn't there a scripture that says, "faith alone without works is dead"? As a believer that's still difficult because they can say but God allows sin so who is to say that Satan isn't responsible for the medication. I'm in the same boat. My mom and dad wants to me to get a job and live my life like a normal person, but I have medical conditions that prohibits me from doing just that. They want me to pray my illness away and telling me that I'm ill due to previous wrong doings. They want me to live my life... But I need surgeries to be able to do that... But they don't want me to get surgery, just believe that God will make me well again. The thought that maybe that's not God's will for me doesn't sit well with them.

I have a terminal illness and if I didn't take my medication regularly I would of been dead. I'm 28 now when I was diagnosed at young age the doctors said I wouldn't make to reach 13.

My uncle almost died because he believed Christians do not take drugs. He had to be rushed to the hospital. There was also a Catholic girl that was very sick but her parents were sure faith will heal her. By the time they realized it wouldn't do anything, they rushed her to the hospital but she died...

I am sick. Actually physically ill. I had to make a horrific choice to either not have children or to get pregnant and risk any possible child having severe medical issues, as well as a very low probability that either the child or I would survive the pregnancy. I made the only choice I felt I could and opted for self-sterilization. These humans (and I use the term in only it’s strict scientific classification sense) blatantly disregard the privilege of being a parent. They are the caretakers of another life, one so little and vulnerable, and yet they show no sense or care of that. It means so little to have a child die that they can do it over and over again, simply watching as the life slowly leaves their charge. This isn’t religion. This isn’t God. This is abuse. These children suffered at the hands of those who they most trusted to care for them. If there is a God, surely he/she would not want this. And if he/she does, then that is not an entity that deserves our reverence. These criminals should be forced to endure what they made children suffer.
I am really sorry to read this, You seem like a down-to-earth person, you have a lot of love to give and you would make for a great mother, you could always adopt if that is your wish, I know it won't be the same, but children deserve good parents that will care about them and their education, they are the oposite of that, live your life to the fullest, you deserve it!

I’m permanently disabled and know my limits, I could never care for an infant. So I make sure to be the best Auntie I can be to my nieces and nephew. Adoption has always been a welcome option, but I know I don’t qualify. It always feels very unfair that while our governments set down strict rules and requirements to be an adoptive parent the same governments have laws to protect anyone’s freedom to procreate. Hence why some of the persons seen here have had more children even after they were convicted of causing a child’s death. I know that requiring a license in order to have a child is a slippery slope, but when confronted with these (and many more) examples of abuse, it does hold a certain appeal.

Growing up we had a family of Christian Scientists in our neighborhood and one day the dad/husband had a heart attack on the driveway. His wife was on the phone with family praying frantically but not calling for help. Luckily they lived next door to a CARDIOLOGIST who got wind of the situation and went over, called 911 and saved his life. The family was very thankful after the fact but religion is a very powerful thing!

I could so see this happening with my parents growing up. Not because they were against medical treatment, at all but because they were/are so densely "optimistic" that they never believed anything was really wrong. Me and my siblings got so lucky.
At least two of these occurred in Oregon where I live. It's so depressing. This state has a huge problem with anti vaxxers. We're one of 18 states that have an exemption from vaccines based on religious beliefs.

I had to make a horrific choice to either not have children or to get pregnant and risk any possible child having severe medical issues, as well as a very low probability that either the child or I would survive the pregnancy. I made the only choice I felt I could and opted for self-sterilization.
These humans (and I use the term in only it’s strict scientific classification sense) blatantly disregard the privilege of being a parent. They are the caretakers of another life, one so little and vulnerable, and yet they show no sense or care of that. It means so little to have a child die that they can do it over and over again, simply watching as the life slowly leaves their charge.
This isn’t religion. This isn’t God. This is abuse. These children suffered at the hands of those who they most trusted to care for them.
If there is a God, surely he/she would not want this. And if he/she does, then that is not an entity that deserves our reverence.
These criminals should be forced to endure what they made children suffer.

I’m permanently disabled and know my limits, I could never care for an infant. So I make sure to be the best Auntie I can be to my nieces and nephew. Adoption has always been a welcome option, but I know I don’t qualify. It always feels very unfair that while our governments set down strict rules and requirements to be an adoptive parent the same governments have laws to protect anyone’s freedom to procreate.
Hence why some of the persons seen here have had more children even after they were convicted of causing a child’s death.
I know that requiring a license in order to have a child is a slippery slope, but when confronted with these (and many more) examples of abuse, it does hold a certain appeal.

Growing up we had a family of Christian Scientists in our neighborhood and one day the dad/husband had a heart attack on the driveway. His wife was on the phone with family praying frantically but not calling for help. Luckily they lived next door to a CARDIOLOGIST who got wind of the situation and went over, called 911 and saved his life. The family was very thankful after the fact but religion is a very powerful thing!

If you think Christianity tells people to pray instead of go to the doctor, then you are sadly mistaken. These people in this video do not worship Jesus, they are doing the devil's work and are being fooled by their religion attempting to mask itself as Christianity.

I'm a diehard atheist too but to be fair, Christians -outside medieval USA- are among the least terrible religious.

I could so see this happening with my parents growing up. Not because they were against medical treatment, at all but because they were/are so densely "optimistic" that they never believed anything was really wrong. Me and my siblings got so lucky.

At least two of these occurred in Oregon where I live. It's so depressing. This state has a huge problem with anti vaxxers. We're one of 18 states that have an exemption from vaccines based on religious beliefs.
I'm from the area where the first story happened. It only happened about six months ago. I remember watching that news report on channel 8 news out of Grand Rapids.
