    Definitely a must do on my 2000. Its gonna take a bit more as i have a crew cab, but Definitely worth it, especially since its the vehicle we'll be taking on long trips.

    Excited to see what you do with this 7.3. Learned a lot watching your video. I’m ready to hear the reason for the switch from the 5.9. Love to see how hard you work being in a wheelchair, nothing seems to slow you down.

    U mentioned the truck was loud. My 1999. 7.3 became that way after 100,000. Truck was bought brand new but i noticed it got louder after a few yrs. Anyways one day a mechanic told me to change out the torque converter. When i did that. The sound got alot quieter. Just a fyi

    I have done the doors on my 94 7.3 I will be doing the floor and roof under the headliner. The engine noise is loud, but the road noise is horrible.

    Don’t blame you for not taking the dash out took the one out of my buddy’s 7.3, he painted the entire interior black, honestly the dash take out was relatively easy but a million bolt😂…took so much time just on bolts

    Awesome. Doing a bunch of work to my 6.0 now, seats, paint work, fixing some oil leaks to get it ready to sell. Looking to get another truck to clean up and make nice when its gone. I'll sound deaden my next one if its a 7.3 because the motors themselves are so loud. Classic 7.3 content, keep it coming man

    Nice job! I did my about a year ago after watching your 1st video on the old truck…. Did my doors, roof and floor, really wish I had pulled the dash but maybe I’ll get to that one day. Definitely made a big difference. Enjoy the content, keep it up

    This is a upgrade that I must do soon. My wife hates the noise, and that makes long trips that we love with our camper difficult. Also not having much hearing in my right ear makes it worse.

    Your videos have helped with my 7.3 rebuild, this will be a later project for me. I’m dealing with FASS wiring on mine rn but it’s stupid loud with 238cc SS injectors from full force diesel. I’ll insulate behind the dash too though.. somebody may have forgot brake cleaner on the dash at some point and caused an explosion 😅 so I have a whole dash and radio I plan to install, now with insulation!

    • @LivingOnWheels
      @LivingOnWheels  Рік тому

      Single shot’s definitely are noisy. And at least you have a good reason to pull the dash now haha. I would load up the firewall insulation as much as possible.

    The only thing I hate about my 2000 F250 is the seat belt. It rides up and cuts into my neck all the time. So irritating. Looks like you have the same seat. I think the seat should have a belt guide or something on the left side. I’m curious to see if you experience the same issue

    • @LivingOnWheels
      @LivingOnWheels  11 місяців тому

      It never bothered me too much. I adjust them down as far as they go. Some super duty’s and excursions did come with belts built into the seats. If it bothers you enough you could look out for a set of those.

    My first question i have for you …is what sensor turns of the courtesy lights off? Ive been having issues with the batteries draining to flat dead in one or 2 nights. It seems like they stay on too long. Also, i replaced all of the seloniods on the engine and the starter selenoid and km just waiting t see if that fixes the problem

    Man you are such an inspiration to us all. I've been contemplating doing that to my 2001 Platinum Edition for a couple years. What was the name of that product?
    Make sure you record a video when you put that FOR SALE sign on that Dodge 😂

    So you used one whole box of insulation, plus part of another box right?

    • @LivingOnWheels
      @LivingOnWheels  Рік тому

      That’s correct. One 36sqft box would come really close to completing an extended cab. If you didn’t do the back wall then it should definitely do it.

  • @davidgleason6400

    Nice! I think adding a sound barrier in these tricks would make a big difference. BTW…did you ever get anywhere finalizing the custom engine plate for the Powerstroke? I know you were working on that well before the Dodge. I’m excited to see what you do with the ol’ girl. Keep the videos coming…Dave.

    • @LivingOnWheels
      @LivingOnWheels  Рік тому +1

      It definitely doesn’t hurt to add it. I never finalized the engine covers but I would still love to try and do it. Probably work on it again with the new rig.
