Thanks for the tutorial! I've been drawing for a few years but have been interested in animating my whole life but never really dived into it. But since I got krita as a drawing software what better time to start than now, your tutorial have clear instructions and I can't wait to start animating with my new drawing/animating software!

I learned about krita from my 9th grade art teacher and I’ve been wanting a video exactly like this for a long time thank you. But I tend to flip between krita and blender so this vid will be a deciding factor on what I’ll use full time for 2D animation.
If you can get used to using blender and get fast with it then that’s amazing! Worthikids did a really in depth tutorial on how he animated his videos in it too!

@@kdsketch I stopped animating for a bit and when I came back to krita when I tried to scrub along the timeline the sound didn’t work. When I play it it’s fine but idk how to fix it :/ Could I do anything to fix it?
I’d suggest saving the project and closing/reopening the program - if that doesn’t work I’d contact krita directly!

This new video has helped me a whole lot thank you! The last one made me frustrated because I thought I was doing something wrong but this new one cleared it all up and answered my questions!
Edit: I still don’t understand how I can make frames work and how to actually ANIMATE my drawings because your video doesn’t explain that part as well as I’d like so I guess I don’t understand ANY of it because animating is what I’m trying to do here T^T
Are you trying to move a single drawing across multiple frames or are you redrawing it each time? If you just want to move it I’d suggest right clicking to create a blank frame on the first, draw what you like, then right click the frame again and select copy to clipboard. Right click On a new frame and select paste from clipboard. Then move that drawing using the move/transform tool. Keep doing that till you’re finished :) if you want to redraw each frame you’ll need to right click on the timeline and select create blank frame every time you want to draw something new.
I have been animating on my phone for quite a while now and I just got my drawing tablet for my birthday. I've always wanted to try animating on desktop so this is really helpful! Thanks! :D
I need a more uncomplicated tutorial cause I get confused on the inbetweens part like the keyframes, breakdowns, and inbetweens.

Same here...it's good but she moves through it too quickly. If this is for absolute beginners she needs to slow down or we will be re-watching this a dozen times.
@@ladywolf64 This video is more to show you the tools in Krita rather than 'this is everything about animation' though I'm working on those tutorials now too :) I'll definitely do another Krita video though if that's something you'd want to see!
