Using toner powder with MINC machine

- I was inspired by a video that right now I could not find who did it so I can give credit to that person for the idea. I think I was using someone else iPad. But just know the idea was not mine and i thought this person was brilliant! I really like the effect I was able to achieve with my stamp images and toner. I hope you like this video. Mix the toner with a little glue and use it on the stamp! It works and you’re not breathing in toner particles!
You would be better off not using loose toner. I made a toner paint with one tablespoon PVA glue and enough toner to get it really dark. You can paint your stamps with it and stamp away! It works beautifully! It also does not stain the stamps and washes off of the stamps very easily with soap and water. Don’t use the loose toner. It’s messy and dangerous.
Yes, I think it is a neat technique, but I would advise people wear a mask and do it in a well ventilated area. People with breathing problems should not consider this technique as it can linger in the air. But, your video is very inspiring....thanks so much!

Thank you. I saw the same video with the toner powder. I bought mine on ebay. Then I could not find the video again. I usually save all of these videos but somehow missed this one. I was trying to use the toner on an image on my card rather than a cut out image. I had toner all over my card. I did not really give it an honest try. I guess, now that I have seen your video, I will try it again. Thanks again.
The trick is to use a small spoon to twizers to put a very small amount on the image.
I saw that same Video a few weeks ago. I bought some toner powder right away, and It works... :-) I don't have a laser printer and thought this was genius of that person who did that video on toner powder. I just have a regular old laminator machine,nothing fancy and didn't cost much 18 yrs ago...lol.

Hi from France, I am just finding our now about this foiling technics and I tried it however, the toner sticked on the paper and even after brushing and brushing again and again my paper stayed pretty grey. I did put some powder before stamping but did not seem to make any emprovement. With a baby swap it even got worse. Any idea why? or suggestion? Thank you and when it will work that will just be super as I truly think it's a great trick and thank you for sharing.

I need some advice. I bought a bunch of heidi swap foil and I bought a laminator. and I went ahead and bought a laser printer.
but I don't know what to foil! I can't find ANY good images online because I don't know how to word it probably. how do it find images or words? I don't have any good dies. like word dies and don't have any money right now. I just spend the last of my money so I'm wondering if i should return the foil and buy icraft foil. but i like the colors and i bought it on sale and free shippinh so i want to keep it.. I really want to use my stamps but the heidi swap foil doesn't work with any of the other techniques I have seen, like embossing powder, 2 way glue, and a couple others
I tried stamping images and running it through my other inkjet printer scanner then printed on the laser. but it's not a good image after all thay. too much gray areas and since it's blurry doesn't get all the foil on the words.
I'm still hesitant about this technique. I barely breathe when using embossing powder and pearl x as I'm afraid I will inhale. and will cause damage in the long run. and this is even finer powder than embossing powder. I just want to wait a little longer for more info on this powder

i think i have just watched it is it this one will not let me put link if it was the same one i too went out and bought some black toner i will be experimenting with colour toner just to see if the foil give of a slightly different effect
I think Biblescraps was the original creator of using the toner. And deesSpecialthings also did some great things with toner.
+Wendy brown thanks for giving me other channels that has done foiling with toner. I not sure but sometimes it is hard to find videos on youtube for certain things. thanks for sharing!
Please be careful and look up information regarding the health risks of toner, specifically the inhalation of the ultra fine particles of carbon black.
Thank for alerting on this. I think using small quantities would be safe but you do have a point that inhaling this stuff is not good. I will add a comment on my video to use caution.
