I never had any issues with the Rotax 447. I have had an engine out in a Titan with a 912 though. The BRS chute provides a lot of “peace of mind”. I just did maintenance and ran high quality fuel.
Remember, the only people afraid of 2-strokes are the ones who don't know how to maintain them. Fewer moving parts and much simpler than the Rotax 912. TBO is sooner but much less costly to rebuild, and much lighter.
