This is a really good video! 👍
Thanks so much, Phil! I always enjoy your videos! 😁
Amazing video, get out and explore, you may find a new park you love. I drove an hour to Deleware bay a few weeks back and man was I happy, I ended up staying 8 hours when I only planned to stay 2 or 3.
Those kinds of days are good for the soul. There’s nothing quite like an enjoyable day in nature. Here’s to many, many more for both of us! 👍
I haven't tried any new places recently, at least not in this area. I just came back from Hawaii and every place was new to me as a wildlife photographer. I completely agree that a lot of places that are good for viewing wildlife and birds. The distances may be too great, the terrain such that you can't get to water level, etc... There is a place near me people, birders, report seeing brown pelicans and other rare birds occasionally. I went there and found a bunch of birders with very expensive spotting scopes happily viewing birds that were anywhere from half a mile to nearly to the other shore at 1.7 miles away. Needless to say I did not come away with any pictures that day.
Birders are just happy to put a check mark on their list. Haha! For me, I’d rather get a unique shot of a common bird than a far away glimpse of a rare bird. Hawaii must have been amazing!
what cloves are you using, I've been trying to find a pair that's comfortable but ones that's i can actually still use my camera with.
It took me forever to find a pair that would work. A few months ago I found these at Bass Pro Shops. I think they're the Bass Pro Brand.
Wonderful Osprey footage! New subscriber here ✨
Thanks so much for the kind comment and the sub! 😁
Great Video
Really appreciate it! It was definitely one of those videos where I had no idea what the final outcome would be until it was done! I guess that's kind of the point of finding new locations though! Happy shooting!:)
Your video encouraged me to book a local Osprey hide that was set up in the Trossachs in Scotland last year. Last weekend I was photographing Dippers for the first time. They were on my bucket list for this year.
That’s so great to hear! I hope you’re able to capture some great shots! I don’t know of any hides in the US that are setup for the public to book. I’ve heard of quite a few in the UK. That’s such a cool idea!
Right before you mentioned the wet mud I thought’ “He needs some rain gear over those clothes so he can get lower!”
Haha! Yeah, you can’t tell, but there was cold mud water dripping from my knees, down my leg, into my boots. 😂 I wasn’t prepared for that!
