@@damianjohnwildlife yes I've been around hardly any of it, I've seen so much though warblers, stonechats finches redstart, birds of prey, hobby, kestrel, buzzard, sparrowhawk, Thrushes, Kingfishers, nuthatch, woodpeckers, cuckoos, skylarks, pipits. Just to name a few!
Another great video, love seeing the chase on screen, the only area I regularly see Whinchats on the chase is Oldacre valley (about 1/2 way up the valley)
Heya! Thank you for the kind words and I'll have to keep that in mind, I've only seen them in Shropshire so far so would love to see them closer to home
That's not a bad shout, can't guarantee I'll remember to check while out in the field but I'll try... (Honestly it's tough enough remembering to take a photo for the thumbnail 🤣)
You're probably the only person in the UK who uses the 200-800 who is on UA-cam. What are your thoughts on this lens in our weather? I'm trying to decide if it's worth buying because of the apertures the lens gives. I tried the 800mm f11 earlier this year and took 2000 shots but only a handful were 'sharp', the others were not. I took the lens back and got a refund. I'm now looking to buy this lens. I own the R5 (version one). Thanks.
I found using it in the UK relatively tough, I often found myself having to crank the ISO a lot to combat our grey weather and the F9 aperture. Shame because when I had some decent light the quality of the lens itself wasn't bad.
I was chatting to a canon rep about the 200-800 earlier this week, apparently anyone putting their name on the wait list at the moment will be waiting around about a year which is insane
I love Cannock chase, so much to see!
It's a really cool location, I feel like I've barely scratched the surface there

I love the swallow shots, great work.
Thank you! 😊
So many lovely clips and photos! Greetings from a Swedish youtuber! 🇸🇪
Cheers mate!
Hello from the UK 😀
This was great to watch, and so interesting. The swallow images are super - I do know how difficult it is to nail those!
Thank you, it took a fair few attempts but I'm pretty happy with how the swallow shots turned out 😊
Great video mate, looks like a stunning location and such a variety of species !!! Fantastic shots with the Swallows mate, they are insanely fast haha
Cheers dude! Yeah I did a tonne of walking that day trying to cover as many habitats as possible hoping to find something 🤣
Nice work u doing
Thank you so much 😀

The chase is huge, so when you say the other side, I'm wondering where?
Could you consider what 3 words in the descriptions for locations please.

I ordered the lens in November 2023 and just received it last month, May 2024.
Glad to hear you got your hands on one 😀 how are you finding it so far?
😱 I ordered the lens in april 24, I hope I don't wait 6 months...

Im not convinced the 200-800 even actually exists.

The Crossbill is actually a Linnet.
