That first one... I can kinda get the derivation but why... why smash it all into one word to simply say you are a doctor of those things... cause lets be real if you told someone that word they'd have 0 clue what you are talking about you are way better off saying simply you are a doctor of those areas or listing it out individually.
A lot of words are like that. Things that involve studies of the body or biology and chemistry are often mashed up root words because that's more convenient.. for a reason I'm uncertain of. Idk I think it's fairly convenient
