Don’t know if any collector will relate to this but once you go searching for something for years, after you finally find it, it shows up everywhere. This has happened to me with the vhs of White Oleander and Road to Perdition, as well as the dvd for In the Bedroom
I’ve been finding a lot at Goodwill lately. They’re all marked at 50 cents. And if it’s the color of the day, you’ll get them for 25 cents. I picked up Pocahontas, Shrek 1 & 2, 101 Dalmatians (1996), and John Q this weekend.
I used to have that Random House video of Sesame Street "Sing Yourself Silly!" when I was a kid, and although I never owned it, I also used to borrow that Saddle Club tape from the library back when I used to watch The Saddle Club.
@@thewrestlingfigurevault you’ll eventually score a copy, I’m optimistic as a fellow collector! Also another rare tape I saw on sold for $9 was Cars the Disney movie sealed it was a 2007 release it’s now worth a fortune!😳
I do agree with you with home alone, I did not like the rest after 3. Also, funny thing I actually started with home alone 3 too. You got some pretty good movies - a walk to remember, major payne, bulletproof, and it takes two. I do hate when they add stickers/write on the non clamshell tapes because the sticker either is hard to get off or when you take them off, they rip so I usually leave the sticker alone or don't get the tape
I decided to grab A Time To Kill the other day because of the cast, I had never heard of it before and ended up loving it! You’ll have to keep an eye out if you haven’t seen it! Great video good luck on your searching!
Great pick up with They, some decent comedies in there too. I haven't picked up any Vhs lately just Fire emblem Requiem for my Gba, and some Switch games. If you like army films you'd probably like U571 also.
you should keep an eye out for the "Stephen King's IT" 1990 mini series on 2 X VHS pack. It has the complete "Stanley Uris suicide" scene and the rest of the footage missing from the Blu-ray and DVD releases. I warn you not to buy the single VHS of it if you come across it- as it is in "extended play" format and shocking quality.
WHOA I have that 2 tape'r and did not even know about the cuts. Need to check that out. That is why it has a price tag on it. thank you Broski that is why I am here to learn and share.

For common titles in the wild, yes! That’s not for rare titles or obviously online prices. But most thrift stores, second hand stores, etc… charge $.50 cents to $1.00 per tape. So $2.00 for a tape in front of your face, at a place like I’m referring to, is more than you have to usually spend.
@ALL In time we want base VHS to be like $3-$4 Dollars so I can go into a profit mode, inflation will drive the base of all goods higher it but we need another 5-10 years and more rarity / attrition. Eventually only trash VHS and DVD going to be showing up.
Go BLACKHAWKS! That has been my team since 1996! I miss Chicago, great city but too many people. That is why it is more valuable, and I bet less available in a way. That is interesting information. They still cheap here in OKC, OK 50Cent through $1 but stuff is getting picked through. Watiting for collections to get turned in all at once.
@VHS_Nostalgia90s I do actually. Im pretty new to vhs I started about a year ago. Before it was dvds and bluray. I have easily a couple thousand dvds/ blurays and close to a thousand vhs. Im turning half my basement into a video store essentially
It is a good idea to store movies in VHS, in the same way how contemporary Museums keep various items from Antiquity . But for watching a movie , the best choices are a DVD , Blu Ray Disc , or Online Streaming/Download because of the following reasons : 1) Easier to rewind or fast forward a few seconds here and there . 2) Easier to select a particular scene from the Movie and watch it .
