Collecting Ducati Panigale 1199R to complete Route 21's Homologation Set
Nearly 20 years ago I bought my first Ducati homologation special, the 996R of 2001. That is when the idea and dream started of trying to put together the entire set of V twins that Ducati raced in the WSBK championship (World Superbike Championship), not only that but the dominant years when they won riders and constructors titles. After Ducati failed on the final shape, the Panigale 1199R, I ended up waiting too long to find a decent one and the set always seemed incomplete. However, lady luck smiled on me and the importer of Ducati into South Africa sold me his personal one in his collection so that I could complete my set of 6. Ducati 888SP4, 916SP, 996R, 999R, 1098R and now finally the 1199R.

the 1199R has elektronik suspension that is the Panigale R the modell after,

did you like the 999 & 749 series. I thought they were years ahead in design when launched. Terblanche was a true master

I personally am a big fan of the 999 and 749 shapes and riding them. Super comfortable and perfect handling bike. Won 4 out of 5 years contesting WSBK. I own a 999R and I’m looking for a yellow 749

i have been thinking about either a Ducati V4 R or a Aprilia V4RS Factory

Ive always been the Ducati fan but have recently taken the Aprilia RSV4 Factory for a weekend and a track day. Test ride them both first cause the Aprilia is quite a bit cheaper than the Ducati R and an AMAZING bike
