Enjoy seeing the cars from the coin year, nice idea...!
Thanks for watching and subbing Denny! I try to put a little historical fact with each coin year in each video.
Awsome Barber dime congrats on that find and all the wheats. Thanks for sharing your video
Thanks for being here Tim, always enjoy your comments!
I would say clock piece and the 1 right after a horse bridal "rousette"... keep up the great work, great video editing makes for great viewing
Thanks for watching Randy! My wife does all the editing so I'll pass that along. And...I think you're probably right on both of those mystery items.
What a place to be detecting over.. So many goodies in olde coins .. Cool you added in the cost of things during the Era .. Happy Hunting. Peace
Thanks for watching Danny, and say hello to the better half and your daughter. Tell 'em I enjoy watching your foody challenges.
@@dirtlifedetecting Both say Hello Back and When I told my Daughter she a big smile and says Thank You ...
Nice hunt congrats on the Barber dime and the wheaties that token was very cool too
Thanks for watching Shane! It's always nice finding local history.
I can't imagine finding that many wheats in one day. Last one i found was a 1918 in feb.
Of this year.
Schools and parks here noting but clad.
Thanks for watching! I've been very fortunate the past few years in finding older stuff in public places. I know it's not like that everywhere.
Great videos the thing u thought was a lid I believe is a horse bridal rosette
Thanks for watching Richard! Funny you say that, I just saw someone with something very similar on another channel describe it as a horse brida rosette, so you may well be right!
@@dirtlifedetecting I only say that bc literally just found one mine had glass on front side usually had an image under glass
Are you supposed to be digging on ball fields? 🤣Idk I'm knew to this 😂
Good question. I'm lucky in that my large metro community and my State, for the most part, do not have rules against detecting and don't look negatively on detecting. I also work for the largest school district in the State and they know I'm there. However, the fields I like to dig on are way old and not in use for anything except neighborhood kids playing pickup soccer. No leagues or even organized practices. I stay away from all active fields. Plus, you find a lot more on the sidelines, bleachers, etc. Sorry, this got long and could be a lot longer. Thanks for watching and thanks for a great question!
I've been digging lots of king George pennies, they are the Wheaties of Canada, all in the 1940s too, why can't I dig a dime or quarter that old 😅
I watch R Dogg routinely up there from Canada. The one thing you have over us is the looney's and tooney's. It's a real rarity for me to dig a clad dollar coin! Where you from in Canada? I spent my high school years in North Dakota, 15 miles from the border with Saskatchewan.
@@dirtlifedetecting I'm in Simcoe county Ontario
Another very small advantage is we only had zinc and steel pennies from 1997-2012, so the majority of the pennies I find are copper, but it also depends on area, some areas are loaded with zinc and or steel
@@digginggopher Yes, our copper pennies ended in '83. This zinc stuff is horrible out of the ground. Unfortunately, I dig those because you never know when it's a silver ring!
What's your favorite aspect of using older techniques or equipment for detecting? Are you on Facebook / Insta? I'd love to connect and hear more about your experiences and insights! Let's keep in touch!
Thanks for watching Fahim! I just enjoy finding stuff that ties into history. I'm not on either facebook or insta at this point, just here on youtube.
