@@kinaiyuei9802 You forgot to mention his option select shutting down most offensive mix-ups. Especially the character that has been reworked to be released alongside Vortiger. They really didn't test the Shugoki vs Vortiger match-up. A proper hard-counter.

I've been waiting for a sword and board knight. I've really enjoyed playing BP and I've found him to be pretty solid but nowhere close to unbeatable. It's too soon for me to make a solid call but to this point he's felt more balanced than the Wu Lin did upon realease.

Black Prior's crushing counterstrike has a unique and (I think) unintended interaction with external blocks:
If you execute Black Prior's crushing counter strike on an external block, damage from the crushing counter strike will be dealt to the opponent you are currently focused on. This is helpful when you're outnumbered and need a specific opponent to die.

I think they should change the bulkwar counter after an enemy drops so that it’s more worth it, be as you said you are saving the enemy so there is no reason to do it in most cases ::
Well, I once made a double bulwark in dominion, one of them was trying to drop on me and they both got damaged. It was worth it, but i dont think it will ever happen again.

Great video! I'm very very new to the game, was maining warden and loved it. Played black prior and it's great. It is similar enough to warden but more defensive like lawbringer I suppose. I love the utility!

I just bought this hero. All that grinding was worth it. Now all I need is a helmet and a cape I’ll be golden. I also got this a game a little less than a week ago too!
I need like, 500 more steel before I can get BP, as he's the last Knight hero I need before I have the entire faction, and while Ubi made the little event where there was a week where BP was free to play, I got him to level 10. One thing I found was, I love him almost as much as Centurion, but more than Gladiator, and he's really good at defending friends and self during ganks. Using his feats to give shielding to a low health teammate while both teams are breaking is incredibly helpful. But, more importantly, a playstyle thing that I found was that doing a light attack, gb for shield bash, and then another light (or heavy) is quite the combo. I've fought many BP's before, and *none* of them used this combo. And then I did, and the died. This combo works for new players, who aren't quite into the "feint everything you do, and gb everything no matter what" and for those who are in that stage of "high level" play, try: light -> shield bash -> heavy feint (any direction) -> side light (usually opposite the side you light attacked the first time from. I'm only rep 13, 2 on Warden, 1 on everyone, (save for BP) and 4 Centurion. So, I'm not an amazing player, but this works, most of the time. If there are any super high rep players, and you try this, tell me how it works! Thanks for reading, and for all factions, good luck on the Faction War. Deus Vult my Knight brethren!

Me personally I'm a Rep 13 Black Prior and OH MYYY I love him a lot. I learned so much in such a couple months. I don't just spam shield bash I'm definitely a mixup prior.

Has anything happened to exterior block attacks? It seems a lot harder to counter guard break exterior now for some reason. I asked some friends and they had similar problems. I think the symbol shows up for less time now or something.

Is his stamina too screwed up??? I unlocked him recently and I use him, 2 heavy and a light screws his stamina bar. It full drains it.

I find the counter pretty useless because the ratio risk-reward being far too low. Most of the time, you can't react after the move is launch so you must enter the stance before the attack come, and the attacker get the time to react and cancel to guard break.
But just with his shield bash game, he is not that bad.
Thank fuck; finally, a character who cannot follow up from a missed bash.

People keep telling me the most op thing about vortiger is his ability too delay the shield bash... how do heck do you delay his shield bash? I want too main him but I cant figure this out. I really want too kno how too delay the bash. they say its the same thing as conq bash delay but uuh i dont play conq so. ( or are they just talking about the forward dash bash, I can delay that by about 50ms but I didnt think it did anything special, still reactable) even more so actually.

Black Prior now has Superior Block
Full guard > unblockable feint > light or GB+heavy > heavy undodgeable feint > light or parry/full guard flip. Thats how you make someone ragequit.
