- With Burke acting as Chief and her first day on the job, Addison request Meredith on her services. While working with Addison, Meredith learns what happened to Addison and Derek.
We all expected to hate Addison. Oh were we wrong.

She wasn't immature she was desperate when she cheated with mark. She mentioned it multiple times later on... derek was the reason. Derek was not cold and a total jerk to her because she cheated she cheated because he was cold and a jerk. The only reason derek cared enough to be hostile about her presence in Seattle was that she ruined his fun and chances with meredith

I had so much respect for Addison in this scene. she knew what she did was wrong, and that Derek and Meredith love each other, and is willing to let them be happy
Not really. She was mature perhaps but not enough to let Derek go and realize that MerDer is it now. Not Addek.

It is not so much that as she recognizes that this situation is not Meredith's fault. Mer had no idea Derek was married. Now that she knows she refuses (currently) to have anything to do with him outside of a professional setting.
For me, it's not so much that she wants them to be happy, but she knows that Meredith did nothing wrong.
Actually she was mature enough to let him go she even later gave him divorce papers and agreed to sign them if he did. Addison even also once told Meredith that she'd let him go if he didn't want her but Derek decided that seeing if they could fix their marriage was the right thing to do at the time.
We all wanted to hate on her but after that moment we just couldn’t and she won us over
Kimberly Tunkel I remember I thought I wasn’t gonna like her but then I actually really liked her.
she still acted like Meredith stole her husband but its good that she told her patient that Meredith wasn't the problem with her marriage that Addison was. People tend to think that women have so much power over men that they make their men stray. Also, you can't always assume that the person who committed infidelity is a man. The only reason why Addison patient felt the way she did was because she overheard Addison tell Meredith how she wanna see what else Meredith can do besides sleeping with her husband.

Addy came to Seattle for him and the case, saved Mrs.Philipps and brought divorce papers with her. Nothing else. She was a class-act through and through.
The old Meredith Grey....now she's a widowed middle-aged woman raising three very young kids. It breaks my heart.

I think it will all end in Meredith getting alzheimer and always seeing Derek, only then we can get derek back but still dead. It would be sad, but i think she is gonna end up like that... its logic.

That was the moment Addison became my favorite character. She could have allowed the patient to continue talking about Meredith in a rude way, but she didn’t.

The last time I saw this episode was years ago how did she even find out about Derek and Meredith.
Nicole Ackerman I think she overheard them talking in the hallway or something. But I like how Addie stood up for mer. It took courage for her to do that.
And she set the record straight! That meant she knew what she did was wrong and she wasn't going to let Mer be disrespected for something that wasn't her fault (at that time she was dating Derek, she had no idea he was married). I loved how the writers didn't try to make Addison a bad person or the enemy. I liked how she was shown as a good person despite her mistakes. The plot of her and Derek trying to make their marriage work was really good because it showed how things had changed for Derek after he met Mer and it wasn't like he hated Addison for cheating on him and that's why he would leave her: it was because they didn't work and he loved Mer. That was back in the good ol' days of the good Grey's.

Coming from a family were adultery ruined it I was surprised at Addison's portrayal. She made everybody seem so human and real. Se was such a good person who made a mistake that hurt a lot of people nevertheless she didn't hate mar and didn't treat her bad or Derek. She just did the best she could. I really loved her.
I just love 0:33... When George just walks up to Meredith with an umbrella. It shows just how much he loves her.
