Extreme Longboarding Fail: 50 MPH Crash!

- I spent the day out in beautiful Southern California filming with a couple friends and unfortunately took a spill at about 50 MPH while trying to slow down for a sharp turn.
Fails like this are bound to happen in downhill skateboarding.. you just have to get back up and try again. - Спорт

No other sport compares to this! Basketball football all get so much glory for the "skill" they have.. if only more of the world would see and appreciate this, This is more intense then all other sports put together.

When he falls he’s still sliding out very fast, gives the driver time to slow down at the same pace, if he stops imidiatly or rolls it could be different
Ever tried Decker Cyn off PCH, to or from Westlake village or T.O.? Quite the ambulance ride back in the early 80s when WCH still existed !

stay low, hug the ground and keep your head up and in the direction of the slide in case of wipeouts.
low center of gravity helps with stability at high speeds hence the 'tuck'. tucking improves aerodynamics so it comes with an increased speed boost. raising or lowering center of gravity can also affect the way the wheels grip. sliding or speedchecking at high speeds is risky but it is one of the several options available to safely shed speed especially if there is a need to lose speed in a certain timeframe. for a slight speed drop, simply standing up and assuming a less aerodynamic stance will do.

What’s the key to bailing safely? Relax? Lay flat and use the slide gloves so it doesn’t scrap all your skin off? 😂 That’s just my observation idk
