RIP Sean. Genius.
Hero
He's not resting he's rotting.
He's the funniest goat herder ever.
Oh no I had to Google it. Somehow missed the news. And it was so sudden there were no previous report of it. He always seems to be about bringing joy and laughter to others. 8 Out of Ten Cats may never be the same again. RIP
Not a genius by any stretch of the imagination.
George Carlin, Richard Pryor I would say are examples of comic genius.
Sean lock? not so much.
As an American, I don't know how I never heard of this guy. I started watching him on Countdown and I can't get enough!
As an British person there are also many American comedians I am not aware of
Ooo
@@Ztormrageheero Some of the big names people enjoy are: Louis CK, Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, George Carlin, Bill Hicks, etc. There's a pretty distinct different between American and British comedy, but those guys are on another level and I think everyone likes them, haha.
@@Ztormrageheero @Ztormrageheero The only mainstream American comedians who are currently worth knowing about are Dave Chappelle and now Louis C.K. because neither of them are towing the 'woke' line.
Sean Lock is considered very 'milk toast' by Brits generally. Try out Frank Skinner ua-cam.com/video/4U2UaEGWq2E/v-deo.html
I just realized you can hear Jimmy Carr’s laugh in the background throughout.
OMG your so right
That's not Jimmy Carr laughing. I think it's an old pal of mine. You simply couldn't mistake his laugh!! How are you Peter by the way ? Best wishes...
@@jasonwadsworth1160 Nah, that's Jimmy. How are Jimmy? Don't sound too well...
Unfortunate.
@@eustacequinlank7418 I was about to comment that. xD He really sounds like Carr
Love how you can hear Jimmy Carr laughing in the audience

A sage comment.
@@jameselliott449 Thanks. These thoughts just sometimes cumin to my head.
It's difficult to explain why Sean Lock was a brilliant as he was because he was just so unique. But the more of his work you watch, the clearer it becomes that he was one of the true comedy greats. Utterly inimitable.
The best way to explain him is with a fragrance. Which smells like "Hot tarmac and a vets flannel." And when you smell that, that's Sean Lock. Ha ha.
He was outstanding, will always remain one of my favourites.
He shared a similar comedic philosophy to Norm Macdonald, „Its one thing to make people laugh, its another to make people smile” Norm and also Sean embodied this.
amazing humour, didnt burst into a laugh like this for ages...
@@akkamiau Same here. The "Mandy" bit got to me. Haven't laughed with tears in a while BD
I'm dreading running out of seeing everything he did... and wanting more but knowing it can never be 😪
Thank you Sean, put a good show on for the big guy 👼🏼💖
@@shep295 Not to mention the TV Sitcom he wrote and starred in called "15 Storeys High" it's a slow burner but its fucking genius. If you like Sean at all you should give it a go.
Welcome to my Bill Hicks world, since 1994.
That's a profound thought.
@@MetalLizardJesus thanks for reminding me to watch that again. Great show.
I'm in bed watching this with a stomach bug and it's bringing me a great distraction and making me laugh. Sean Lock was one hell of a comedian, he will be deeply missed.
Excellent remedy
Hope you're all better.
Here I am going through the same.
I like the way he can be talking about something completely surreal but then without any segway he can revert back to talking about himself in the real world. Such a warm, genuine, unpretentious, funny bloke.
Well put. I agree wholeheartedly.
By the way, 'segway' is spelt segue.
A Segway is one of those motorised platform scooter thingies.
Segue
Brilliant description mate. It wasn’t just the fact that he was obviously incredibly funny, but it was how warm, unpretentious and genuine he was that made him a great. Obviously he had a persona, but I felt like I knew Sean (which is the main reason why he’s been the only celebrity death that’s actually upset me).
Oh, how I adored Sean Lock. He made 8 out of 10 cats and the show just wasn’t the same whenever he wasn’t there. I was stunned when I first found out he had passed away. Maybe it’s just me but his passing appeared to be very low key as I only recently found out about it. The comedy world lost a great talent the day he lost his life and it’s a terrible shame. Still, it’s a small consolation that we have UA-cam to keep his memory alive and remind us just how funny he was. RIP Sean. Sadly missed 😢
Possibly the funniest man to ever live. Sean brought so much happiness into my life and he continues to do so through clips like this. Obviously losing a father and husband at such a young age will always be awful, but I hope that his family can at least take some solace and pride in the fact that he touched so many people’s lives and spread so much joy through the world.
RIP. this is one of my favourites. The bit about the patio heaters kills me!
I can honestly say Sean is the only comedian that makes me laugh out loud alone in my garden, but makes me cry with laughter!
So sad he's no longer with us, but so grateful for UA-cam!
An amazing comedian with a huge natural talent. The comedy just flows and flows. Very pleased that there is so much of his comedy out there as a fitting tribute. R.I.P Sean
I feel like I've turned up at an earthquake with a dust pan and brush 😂😂😂
Love this guy RIP Sean
May his soul and mind be forever remembered- Rest in Peace Sean Lock, a comedy genius
Is it just me or can anyone else hear Jimmy Carr in the audience
Who couldn’t, that cackle of laugh
Either that or an owl is getting raped.

Saw this guy live twice, one of the best comedians we’ve had. RIP Sean
I always wanted to watch him live but never got the chance.
There's no way Sean is dead, he's right there!!! Love you Sean. 🇮🇪🍀🇨🇮
They buried him, so someone made a huge mistake.
We have Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr, Dara Ó Briain, and David Mitchell just to name a few...
But we'll never EVER have another Sean Lock. RIP
True but we will never have another Ricky

Sounds a bit different to be jimmy. Much higher
pretty sure at 5:15 as well! >
Oh my god, for real hahaha
The guy on the left at 8:16 is having the time of his life
Lol. Noticed that myself. Maybe he just realized he was the guy who got the wrong number.
That's Mandy's fella.
"Drilling for oil in Alaska , mopping up with a seal pup" xD so funny
Sean was a master. Truly gifted.
He will be forever missed.
I hope that other Americans discovered this gem of a comic, unfortunately due to his passing. Brilliant man
Will be missed. Such a classic legend
Just brilliant. So funny hearing Jimmy Carr's laugh throughout too (0:26). RIP Sean.
I thought I could hear Jimmy laughing too.
8 out of 10 cats will never be the same without him! RIP Sean 💙
Sean Lock is one of my top favourite people ever. What an absolute geezer. 😂🤣
The pie cart of love is the best idea i have ever heard in my life
WHAT HAPPENED THERE THEN, hehe
Mr Awesome you're awesome. To take Sean's mention of the pie cHart and typo it into pie cart is comedy gold. Sean if he was alive would go off onto a 5 minute riff just on that swerve. Wonderful, I often create accidental typos and then have a great time rectifying the issues that result
I love that around 2:47 the camera person starts laughing so they have to cut away. Such a funny guy!
This guy has reached legendary status!
I gotta try his technique for wrong numbers lol
Im just glad i got to see this hilarious
man live.
Legend of a comedian.
Oh my God he was absolutely hilarious!! RIP Sean.
Just found him by accident....
Boy have I missed out.
Very 'milk toast' imo, but whatever normie, have fun.
This was hillarious. Some of his better moments. On fire that night...
I might do a quarterly love pie chart myself... good idea...

Did something different for her birthday, got up early... and fucked off for the day. Genius golden
I never realised this guys comedic precision is so great. I gotta watch more off this guy!
Incredibly funny man, the world is even less sane without you. RIP.
I had never heard any of his comedy routines before.
He really was a comedic genius.
The world of comedy is a darker place without you - you lift me up - R.I.P and thank you.
Showing how much you love your woman with a pie chart is genius. I love it. 😂
Brilliant Sean Lock , one of a kind thanks for all the laughs now and in the future , your comedy will stand the test of time RIP
He is the more leveled headed version of bill Burr lol 😂
Both into realistic comedy with the art of shitting on everyone and no one at the same time
sean is more of crazy unkle vibe, bill is more like that unkle thats always drunk and shouts but he is right on the basics
MANDYYYYYYYYY!!!!
Very surreal observational humour. Perfect timing.Thank you for bringing joy & happiness to others Sean, rest in peace. ❤️
One of the best he will be missed.
“i feel like I've just turned up at an earthquake with a dust pan n brush!"🤣🤣🤣

Such A Great guy !!!! A Huge loss !!!
Sad doesn’t even cut it
"I just got carried away." In the end, we all do..
I realised he was good when he was alive but I've realised how great he was since I saw a tweet saying 'Remembering Sean Lock ' on Twitter this week.
I can just see his expression if he read that...
Hahahaa
‘You never let me know how you feel, not whether I’m hot, hungry or uncomfortable, I’m good at that’ classic 😂
I don't think anyone quite did this pondering observational humour as well as Sean. A really funny and immensely clever comic.
Yo the pie charts actually not a bad idea, do it on anniversaries 😂🤣😂
TOTALLY underrated
UA-cam recommended this to me today.
I’m glad you did UA-cam. I actually got a good laugh from this guy.
I’ll look up more of his clips now.
Cheers.
Lol he sounds like a mix of Michael Cain and Ricky Gervais
Spot on
Looks like Rick Gervais' tall friend and co worker from the office. The producer guy
This is an underrated comment
Turning up to an Earthquake with a dust pan and brush 🤣🤣😂😂🤪🤪
He’s got a point though!
"arriving to an earthquake with a dustpan and brush" is pretty much humanity's way of dealing with anything and everything 😂
I'm french and, as a lot of people, I discovered Sean on Countdown a few years ago. Didn't think much of him then, but after a few years of watching his content I can clearly admit he's one of the best. This bit made me laugh sooo hard.
I love how you can see the camera jiggling on the close ups from the operator laughing at the jokes 🤣
If you feel down EVER, a bit of lock should be available on prescription. Save the nhs. millions.
RIP Sean. TY for the laughs
Sean Lock's got the key....
I've seen him live quite a few times and it upsets me that I'll never see him live again!
The very best of British comedy. My personal favourite of all time. His humour was my taste down to a tee. Forever missed. The riddler, Sean lock.
This was really good, it makes me want to do stand-up just to be like him.
that pie chart joke finished me xD xD that needs to become a norm lol
10:42... I’m still dying of laughter 5 minutes later lmao!!! 😂 😂 😂
The marmite part was hilarious
This is a masterclass. The delivery is pitch perfect from start to finish. George Carlin would've loved the bit on the environment. :)
Its taken from 15 stories high incase you haven't seen it !
Long story short, I ended up painting a community center.

Jeez, got me belly laughing. Good stuff!
Flippin HILARIOUS 😂... just learned he's no longer with us but will be remembered and revered thanks 🙏🏻 to the wonders of the Inter-Web.

Master of comedy this era , reason I watched programmes even in , great chap and way he delivers laughter, the Einstein of comedy by far genius
Wow this dude is awesome
Sad news and loss. RIP Sean
Love it. If I was a comedian this is the kinda stuff I would want to be doing material wise. Unique different and hilarious comedy that noone else has ever done. Unlike lots of other comedians out there who just settle for taking the mickey out of or humiliating the audience. Easy but cruel comedy. Theres nothing clever atall about that kinda a comedy.
Anyone could do that.

Jimmy carr's laugh really stands out.
RIP Shawn, you were unique X

American here. He is completely correct about the typical American attitude towards recycling. I'm constantly shocked by the scale of our wasteful consumption. I'm part of the problem and I can tell you we won't change until we are forced to change. Heavy taxation of waste disposal is likely the only thing that might work.
You seem fun 🤣😂
Lol I love how I don’t preach about it like my hippie mom does and I do way more than her. It’s fine I guess. I’ve worked at an arena and man did I feel like my efforts in my personal ice were made moot
@@paulgal eh. Funny stuff can make your mind drift to related less fun things
Heavy taxation would likely make me hate recycling more.
Gotta love the brainwashed liberal types that get on Americas case about the environment, while it’s one of the cleanest countries...meanwhile would think its racist to actually go after the real offenders like India, China, Africa, and most of the Middle East. It’s mind-numbing...
Yeah, RIP Sean.
