Yea, my mate died at the same age as Sean. We used to meet up in my home town periodically and go to the same cafe and watch the world go by saying we'd probably still be doing that in our 70's. Nobody expected him to die at 54. You never know what's round the corner.

@@duncanmagee Agreed. If you think his stand-up routine is great, wait until you see him in a more off-the-cuff style. Man was hilarious. His bit from one of the panel shows where they watch some children act out a play of a real-world court case is not to be watched while drinking something.

The bit on smoking is pretty hard to watch given he died from lung cancer. Even so, its still funny.

Afaik he had skin cancer before he was on 8 out of 10. The report I read said he died of lung cancer.

@@2bobaf yeah, after working o building sites blaming working in the sun. If I had any form of cancer and recovered, I’d quit smoking...I did and never had cancer! His choice so fair enough!
Skin cancer if not caught early enough can spread to the lymph nodes, liver, lungs, brain and other organs. Seans likely was a return of his battle with skin cancer. Remember to get your doctor to check your skin for spots especially if you're out in the sun alot.

Still, he thinks the Wizard was a dwarf, but he's mistaking the Wizard for one of the Munchkins. The Wizard was the old man, the guy who was the traveling magician in the real world.

@@GlennDavey -- He IS a snake-oil salesman, but his van advertises him as Marvel the Magician; he comes off as a flim flammer because he does that crystal ball reading for Dorothy to entice her back home - but he's too late, due to the twister.

Boy do I wish I could have gotten the chance to see him live in concert... he had so much talent , such a huge loss to the world of comedy....and now he doesn't get to shock us all with wearing a thong while waterskiing when he's 70... RIP Sean

John , they say something about don't meet your hero's,I went to a event in Wales called work in progress, where he tried new material, he made no effort to connect with the audience and was very disappointing. ,Far far better on the telly ,

GENIUS! I would LOVE to have an audiobook read by someone who wasn´t "posh." As someone from the Midlands, it would just be fantastic to listen to something that would feel like a bedtime story read by my family.
I know its not an audiobook, but have you listened to Frank Skinners podcasts? I listen every night in bed, even though I’ve heard them all before, because its so comforting hearing Franks voice lol :)

I once read a 2007 interview with him in the Manchester standard that asked him what he would want written on his gravestone? He said 'Knock. Knock.'.

Majority of people i know who smoked snuffed it early age. My brother a month ago died from pneumonia. He smoked 40 years. Sean you will be missed. Such talent.

This guy is by far the best comedian on the panel show circuit. Underrated.
He was massively successful doing sell out tours and many appearances on multiple tv shows. In this video he's at one of the major London theatres and being filmed for tv. Honestly now he's passed, I realise how good he is as a stand up comedian. It comes so natural to him and his punch lines are delivered so well and his story's are great. He reminds me of a rude Lee Evans.

It is so sad. A brilliant comedic mind.
We are all gonna die some day. Life is a blink of an eye. He had a brilliant blink. I am enjoying he's legacy at its best. Even if it makes me sad. We will not beat death for a while i think. And maybe he is serenading the ladies in the heaven at the moment. Be happy. We will all see him again soon somewhere. Doing shows in the afterworld. Lets be honest. It's problaby the only thing hes good at 😅
Well, his job was making people laugh, so I doubt he'd be too offended! Plus the fact he'd had cancer before as a younger man I imagine he was pretty aware of his own mortality, whilst joking about it. Overall he had a pretty dark sensibility at times, so I don't feel bad still laughing myself. That said, RIP. 58 is no great age and I was always pleased when I saw he was on the panel if I put a comedy quiz on. Never heard a bad word said about the man and he had a pretty young family.
I work in a shop that sells some fancy dress and we have a Riddler outfit on display at the moment. Keeps reminding me of his "I'm the Riddler!" joke at the end of one of his shows that really made me laugh with how daft it was!
