Beautiful car, no question ! Only, it's interior shows some age, despite virtual cockpit fitted. It is just obviously sparse for today's standards. Beautiful car, no matter what !
I know new A3 is coming soon but I've ordered 2019 A3 35 TFSI Black Edition in Daytona gray pearl. De-badged, sound and comfort pack, tech pack, folding mirrors, rear view camera (not sure why would you need one in this size of a car but the spec had it already) . I had the new A1 since December but had to return it as it had some many quality issues. I loved the A1 interior. A3 is showing its age but with virtual cockpit still looks modern. Had 2013 A3 so I'm hoping it will be as solid.
I wish we could still get the A3/S3 Hatchback here in the States. Such a nice looking car
Nice review.. I'm waiting for my 1.5 tfsi sline saloon in quantum grey to arrive.. Some say the interior is dated in this a3 but I think it's defo one of the cleanest designs that still looks fresh now.
The new a3 will have a similar interior as the current a1/a6. And it looks and feels cheaper imho.
Anyway them indicators are pure class.👍👍
Good choice. Looking sharp in white with the sunroof, but personally I'm not a fan of the recent trend for black editions. Love your 18" alloys. 5:51 It's great you have the handy Auto Hold feature :-)
Are the puddle lights standard on the black edition?
What spec is this with the virtual cockpit an sun roof etc?
Even being older, I think that in the interior looks and feels better than the new A class or the old 1 series, not sure about the new one, but outside with the s line package looks much better than the A class and the new 1 series.
I love this version. I would like to get an a3 but the newer models doesn't look as great

Looking forward to ordering 2.0tfsi A3 in the S-line package. Even though there is a new 1 series and A-class and still like this Audi much more. The interior is clean and minimalistic plus you can hide that screen and the center which is awesome. Nice review though, keep doing the reviews!

M got mine last Sunday 😀!which was also my birthday 😂. It’s amazing, even with the 30 tfsi it’s fairly powerful! (Used to have a Corsa 😂)

BMW 1-Series and A3 are easy on the same level, everything else is personal preference. I prefer BMW just to note a few things in the A3/S3/RS3 you have couple of empty buttons while in the BMW you have no empty buttons except the would-be M1 and M2 button on the M Sport Steeringwheel which are available in the M3 and up. Dashboard below the screen appears boring and empty with only two air vents but nothing else.
Golf isn't a premium car, so it is definitely off the comparison.

Can anyone tell me what's the A button next to the handbrake?
Stop/Start. When the car comes to a stop in drive (D), the engine will shut off.
It is the automatic handbrake! So when you stop the handbrake comes on automatically and then when you press the accelerator again it then automatically comes off!

I got the A3 2.0 TDI, wish I got the 1.4 tfsi instead
2.0tdi has much greater torque... and better acceleration from lower rpm.
1,4 engine is for shity city cars like Renault Twingo,Clio and other shit.

Arif Ramzan new A3 dropping around april time this year hopefully! The build quality seems better than the mercedes, however the merc does look wicked inside!

LewisB bro a question, with contract hire how does my preference affect monthly cost or doesnt it. I used the audi personal contract tool where i chose 3k deposit £340 a month for 2 years but what if i want it black with sunroof etc is that added to cost or not?
S K every £1000 worth of options probably adds around £25/£30 to the monthly payments.
