- This video walks you through from start to finish in setting up an All Natural Tank. In my case I am using Compost straight from my compost bin. Then Capping it off with white sand. I then fill the tank and treat the water with dechlorinator. Then I put plants in there that came from a local pond to grow out. This is day one of the tank as of Mid June 2024. I will update you as the tank progresses over time.
1/2 way through it. Looking forward to progress. Oreo looks great. I was wondering if fish will do well in the high temp days. In a large body of water temp will difuse. Small body may get to hot. What fish are you thinking about , that may be that tolerant?? Will finish watching. Thank for sharing learning about the process. Nice tip with the “holly 😊“ container. Will use that for my sanded tanks
Not sure about fish at this point. After about a month or so I want to see what the average water temps will be before thinking about fish. For now I'm just going to keep putting plants in it as I get them
Very cool Scott, can’t wait to see how it progresses over the summer
Thank you sir I've added some rocks and some more plants. This morning tank was cloudy so I added a sponge filter. But I'm expecting the plants to do pretty good as long as the heat doesn't kill them
Great job Scott. Can't wait to see what it looks like in a few months. Great video.
Thank you sir!
Looks great, crystal clear water. Was sand pre washed?
Actually I had the sand in my 75 gallon for years. When I tore it down and made it a planted tank I just dried the sand and stored it in a pail
