Thank you for your comment!! It made me feel sad. I cried too. However, we are considering whether this work can be used for another project in the future!!✨🇯🇵
Oh Noooo! Oh my gosh! I teared up over the stem breaking. Since you told me about feeling the thinness with sound, I was listening closely. How thin was the goblet? It was going to be another stunning piece.
Thank you for watching!🙏🇯🇵 The thinness varies depending on the tree, but it was about 0.8 mm. There was a crack in the pith, so it broke with a little force. I would like to make use of this experience and broken works in the future.
I was watching this and wondering how did you ever did it without any mistakes. I was amazed on how controlled your hands are... And then the stem broke i was NO!!! it made me said :( back into old drawing board. You can try again :) reuse what's left... the cone can become a roof of a house, or a mini castle, lots of possibilities. Thank you for showing us not to be afraid to make a mistake , & from mistakes we can learn :) keep up your great work ;)
Thank you very much!!! Many viewers said it was not a shame to show a mistake. I wrote that few people have made mistakes, so if anyone can help! I will revenge!
I think you need a different tool for making the rings, something curved maybe and try to complete ring before you turn stem so thin, just a suggestion, thanks for showing what happened.
Thank you for your comment as always!🙇🇯🇵 It was my first ring project. I would like to buy a ring tool. However, I felt that another method would work without it.
It was a very disappointing result. Lack of study! Next time, I'll try to use the lessons learned in this work to increase the difficulty and succeed! I will do my best!
Thank you!!✨✨ I would like to make use of this work's top and ring in future projects! Next time, I will be happy to see it again as it will be completed!
Great job! Thanks for the video. As i understood the wood core was right inside the thinner part of the goblet. And that was the major reason of failure. Am i right? Yamabiko, could you clarify what is Kagatame ace? Is it wood hardener? Wood stabilizer? Does it go in A and B components? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for your comment! The pith needs to be removed from the stem! If the axis is the same as the pith, the probability of breaking is high. In many cases, the cause of failure depends on how the blade is sharpened and used. After turning, pith may be cracked by drying! This paint is a wood hardener! This product is only available in Japan, so please try other types!🙏
Nice video, very nice! Next time, you have to offcenter it. The middle of a branch isn´t stabil enough for holding the rotating top. Try a new one! ;-)
Thank you so much!!🙏 There is a work made after this video. I made a few mistakes, but the ring worked! We will try new procedures in the future. There is a video at the link below. ua-cam.com/video/c3E-wbIeZE0/v-deo.html
In the next video after this one, I tried it again with increasing difficulty. The result is brilliantly successful! I can learn a lot from mistakes!!👏
Thanks for watching! In the near future, we are considering releasing a different pattern of failure! Comments may be buried and not noticed. I'm sorry in that case.😣
Thanks for watching!🙇✨ I will do our best to take this step further with this failure! In the next video, we will increase the difficulty and succeed!!
I just about cried when that stem broke in 2. That cup was gorgeous.

Ouch! I could see that coming. You do have a wonderful little bell-shaped Christmas tree ornament, though.
Thank you!! Next Christmas, I would like to try various ornaments!
That sucks was looking good
In this work, I learned a lot. Next time I raised the difficulty and succeeded, so I'm glad to watch you again.
That was heartbreaking to watch, but your skill and finesse are amazing

Thank you so much!! We will do our best to create works that make use of Japanese culture!!🇯🇵
