- This is one of my favourite pieces of music and so I decided to try and cover it on guitar. It's not perfect but it's my honest attempt at it.
The guitar used is my Pensa MK90-B which is run straight into my Vox AC10, no effects apart from the onboard reverb and the very last harmony part, which i used a EHX nano Big Muff pedal.

The first time I played the original on my car stereo after downloading it I cried. I am a guy, who maybe cries once every 3-4 years. I love this piece. It is so goddamned profoundly sad, and at the same time unbelievably beautiful. Great Job! And thanks for covering it!

Thank you very much. Yes its such a great little amp, perfect for studio work like this. Im just working on a Hans Zimmer cover at the moment, but i've got my eyes on a few more Max Richter pieces for the near future. He did a great scoring for the series 'the leftover's' - not sure if you've seen it?

Thank you for the kind comment. Yes it's very possible to do this with a loop pedal... you'd just need to get through the first part of the track without messing up... It took me a while to get it right!

Thanks for the kind comment. I know that track, the whole score is amazing, plus its one of my favourite films. Ive been really busy recently but just uploaded a cover of S.T.A.Y. from the film yesterday. Christopher Nolan had the story of interstellar in mind but he only told Zimmer it was about a relationship between father and child and asked him to spend a day coming up with a piece of music - which became the backbone of one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever!

Thank you for the kind comment. Yes he is, I've never met him, but he's a distant cousin of my father. I've seen him live a couple of times, but never had a chance to meet him due to some mysterious family rift within the Trower family, going back over a hundred years or so. It's a shame as I'm looking to cover a couple of his tracks soon with my band. I would have loved to be able to pass them on to him and see what he thinks.

Nice. But it lacks a little something.
First you are missing a bass not in the last two chords before the theme on the violin.
I would have used some more reverb and some fade in and fade outs to emulate the continuous sound of the ciolin
Lastly, it was on shutter island first before arrival.
Then it was featured on very good episode of a stephen king tv series.

Hi - i didn't use tabs, i transcribed it from the sheet music, then just decided the best place to play it on the fretboard. I might be able to find the sheet music i used, which still has the notes on it if want me to email pics of it to you.

Im really sorry I didn't tab this out. I just transcribed the notes from the sheet music.
