I wish I had your courage I am 48 I have been in motorcycle cubs and fear nothing that is alive or takes a breath of air but that type of courage I do not have. But now I am feeling that live has pasted me by and is over and i am just ready for it to all end.My hat is off to you for having so much more courage than I ever had in live.
I had to track you here from Arielle's video, you are just too sweet and adorable. I think it's beautiful that you guys created this UA-cam support system, I started crying when you did. keep it up bby, everyone needs to know there's someone there for them. thank you for everything you're doing.
My friend is about to come out to her family when her mom gets home... I told her that she shouldn't have to hide who she is anymore. She was scared and i helped her be brave. I am sooo proud of her and i love everyone for who they are. Dont hide who you are. You might be surprised who else can relate to you (:
I love that you are so comfortable with talking about this stuff that a large number of people find embarassing or awkward. I also love that you can just cry...which I have to say almost makes me cry, I hope that you have a wonderful life and know that we love you!!!
Tyler that was absolutely beautiful in so many ways and on so many levels words just seem to pale as a reply...I had to cry as you touched my heart so with your kind words and your kind and loving touch to so many on this day...you are truly an amazing human being and I am sure all those who call you "friend" are equally blessed to share in your life...all my best to you as you give your best to all....with great love and respect...
hi i came out in 1967. it was kind of easy for me because the uk was a liberal society even back then. i am so touched by all the lovely guys and girls on these videos and wow i am amazed at your intelligent compassion tyler. thank you for sharing with us. :)
Very well done, my friend. Thank you for expressing this point of view. As someone who needed a lot of time and a lot of space to come out, I appreciated the patience I was permitted. My Mom knew when I was 18 months old; it took me another 30 years. But, when I did, I kicked the doors off the closet and never looked back. Your tears I understand are the tears of all the what if? that really never came true or never really mattered. If I can do it, anyone can, but you have to let them choose.
Thank you Thank you Thank you. I love this video, you are brilliant and I am glad you made this video, you got me all teary eyed as you made me remember the same thing I went through with my mother. Thank you
damn.. i know this video is old.. but i just saw it for the first time and i must say, as someone that isnt out.. this was really touching.. really powerful. I've instantly became a fan of yours. I like your thoughts and points of views. Thank you for this message. You are a great person.
i came out in april and it was because i had two people in my life that i talked to, it is an amazing feeling to come out but i waited until my senior year to do it i know people who waited till they were in their 40s to come out i jus want to thankyou tyler for letting people who may be afraid of who they are that there is no set date its all up to you to dowhat you need to do
Noticed You Tube recommended your video. I saw your video once, but wanted to watch it again, because I knew your video was super. Excellent video Tyler. You are an awesome guy! :-D
I actually DID come out on this day, many years ago! Not to my family, but to myself and to my friends. I did NOT know that it was National Coming Out Day. But I find it warmly affirming and ironic it happened for mweon 10/11. Bravo, Tyler! ^_^ ILY
Great video, i came out 4 years ago and it felt so good to be real and to be free from the bondage of living lies and being an actor and playing the role of a straight guy. Freedom from the closet is a beautiful thing.
Aww what an amazing video. I didnt even know this day existed! Another thing you basically covered which i just wanna say is, the "friends" who arent ok with it, thats their problem and not yours, you havent done anything wrong!
You are so well spoken. Today is a great reason to be happy about who you are, even though we should feel that way every day. I really wish I could do more to support young closeted gays. I make vids, but I wish I could reach more people. I remember what it was like, and I want to make it easier on others. So sweet that you're mom's so accepting :) She is fortunate to have a son like you :)
Tyler, I must say that I was beginning to lose some faith in you recently, but you've just totally redeemed yourself in my eyes. This video is why I subscribed to you ages ago. Clearly I could use to be a bit more tolerant as well. Rock on dude!
Religions zealots are one of the most dangerous elements of our society. The violence, pain, and grief that they have caused is unconscionable. But violence from your own family is way beyond reason. ScienceRulesWithFact, you have turned out remarkably level-headed considering your roots. Congratulations!
Tyler the reason we all promote others to come out is because the more people realize that they know a gay person, or they see that they have a brother/sister, son/daughter, aunt/uncle, friend, neighbor, etc that is gay... they will be more likely to help us fight for our freedom from the sort of "Opression" we are dealing with. They would be more sympathetic to our "Cause".
by the time i saw your vid it was tuesday 'rocktober' 13 australian time... a couple of days since nat coming out day but i did remind me of a few things... everyone has their own timetable for their journey... my parents journey & timetable of accepting my coming out... about their hopes and dreams for what I would become as their son... me being gay doesnt rob that dream, just means my journey may be different to their hopes and dreams for their son & they needed time to accept that
Very inspiring! I have been out for years now and it is amazing (even though I live in a small little hick town in Wisconsin, where most people look down on gay people) This video reminded me of my first BF and I wish I would have seen it before our relationship ended. I pushed him to hard to come out and he just was not ready for it. I could have saved a lot of time and heart break if I would have just backed off a little. Happy Coming Out Day (even though I am late lol)
Thank you. You gave me so much strength. I am going to tell my parents that I am bi on October 11th this year. :) I think I will even put it on Facebook..... But probably not...
Where have you been all my life! loved the video. Totally agree with you people should come out when they are ready. Two Tylers on my youtube lineup yes! Can't wait to see some of your other videos. Keep it up. @theamericanxp
I decided to come out to my parents and friends on National Coming Out Day this year after delaying it many times just because fear of acceptance. Now I just don't care, I need to stop hiding and October 11 is in my sights
made me cry :*( i love you and trust me, mom will see this and she will be proud
