- Just a casual arcade playthrough with spawn, which is in my opinion the best exclusive character from all of those 3 (lol sorry heihachi and link, but the xbox version was the lucky one) hahah

@@MLEMOBLIFEENTERTAINMENT Maybe Spawn himself but this game is still awesome. It may not look like much but it came out in 2002 and it looks pretty good especially compared to other 3D fighters that came out just a little later like Tekken 5 and DOA4 and have not aged nearly as well.

It's been 16 years since Spawn made his debut in Soul Calibur 2 and now he's finally coming into Mortal Kombat 11. Can't wait to see him cut loose with his guns, chains, and cape to tear his victims to pieces.

It was this game that introduced me to Spawn. And he's been one of my favorite characters in fiction ever since I started playing on the Xbox.

First we have Spawn in SC2 and now we have him in one of the best fighting games ever... MORTAL KOMBAT 11.
I vowed not to buy MK11 until its full release was complete and the price dropped, but I may just have to get it now for Spawn alone.

When I was a kid I always wanted to play with Link, but the only console I had was a PS2 so I had to play with Heihachi, he wasn’t so bad though.

@@adrianziecik6280 not really. Guest characters tend to bring in alot more players who weren't into the game before hand. A big reason being that certain guest characters tend to be way more popular than the old game characters that could have been in instead. Link in soul calibur, guests in dead by daylight. Also alot of the horror guests in mkx are way more popular and brought in way more costumers than certain fan requests like fujin or jade. Not only this but soul calibur really spiked in popularity once they got in guest characters as people were like "yo a non smash fighting game with link?" Or "is this a fighting game with yoda and darth vader?"
Soulcalibur 2 will always have a special place in my heart

I’ve played the game a lot 4 characters have destined battles with Raphael Did everyone else notice

The other three are guest characters so technically only two characters have them against Raphael (depending on the console)
Necrid was a guest character for all 3. Raphael is not a guest character, but part of this storyline
He was my favorite guest dlc character. Link and Kazuya's dad were cool. But Al Simmons is a BEAST
i was a ps2 kid, and after spending some time with spawn, i can definitely say that xbox got the best guest! he's really fun to use!

Even though Link fitted the most, i personally preferred Spawn as a character. So i played the Xbox version because..Its Spawn for frick’s sake.
i was a ps2 kid back then, as much as i liked heihachi (tried a bit of link too once, he's alright) , xbox got the better end of the deal with spawn for sure lol!

One other thing, does Spawn appear as AI in arcade mode? I've never seen him in any stage as an opponent (and what stage does he have if he does appear?)

So… I gotta say, I grew up with the original Xbox version of soul caliber 2, and Spawn has always been the one I recognized as THE guest character of the game. I’m pretty sure I didn’t know about link or heihachi until much later… Anyways, I found Spawn a really cool character back then.

Spawn was clearly nerf in this game, thankfully Spawn will be in MK11. Spawn will be at his 100% in that game since MK11 is very brutal game to begin with.

Looking back, the lack of necroplasmic powers or even moves that used the cape makes this version of Spawn a bit lackluster.
Not only is SCII the best Soulcalibur it's the best 3D fighter of it's time tbh amazing single player content, good for both competitive and casual players, good graphics especially for the time and awesome guest characters.
I like to think everything before IV was amazing. IV was when the series started going down.

I would say IV is when people started to not take the series seriously anymore tho and when SC became the butt end of a joke like DOA.
