Unfortunately the dances are MIDI files and Aibos have their own unique soundfonts not shared with any other hardware... the only way to theoretically get good recordings of these would be to tap into the audio signal before the dog's speaker (or ideally before it's amplified, depending on what circuitry is accessible). Someday when I have more time I plan to do this haha.
@@JBurg Since Mr. Matsuura still has the Mind 2 and Mind 3 themes, I'm wondering if he still has the raw files of the dances/sound effects somewhere...
@@NijiMarii I've wondered the same thing before, hopefully they still exist somewhere! While the themes (and some sounds) are WAVs, unfortunately the dances are MIDI files, and the soundfonts for them are all unique to Aibo. So without the original files they were produced from, the dances wouldn't sound the same being played back on any other device except an ERS-7. i've considered adding a line out to one of my dogs for the purpose of archiving some of their audio, but i have no idea when i'll actually get around to doing that. And it would be way easier if the original files/resources could be obtained instead haha.
