I used to style my hair like that during the late 70's and 80's for my college classes. Took almost 2 hours every morning getting it just right. I can't imagine doing that now. I still had my hair like that when I got married in 1989 but I cut it quite a bit shorter in the 90's. Now it is really short like Pink's hair.
It's been very enjoyable to go back and see these so many years later. I rarely watch any TV anymore at all, but being stuck in a hospital bed for awhile with current TV programming was SO boring! Nothing but trash, truly. It must have taken many hours to provide these, and doing it for free is so generous. I really appreciate the effort put into it. Thank you!
Luke treats Laura with kid gloves and is so good to her willing to die for her and she makes that nasty comment she didn't care what he did in his personal life, blames Luke because the song Rise comes on, etc. Most men I know would have given up on here a long time ago and told her to take care of herself by now.

@@Beatles0223 All the men I know most being friends would have told her to take care of herself a long time ago. Laura was very nasty & hurtful to Luke but later on in the future he sure pays her back with all that he did to her.
I know it's a soap but you're forgetting that Luke raped Laura only 6 months prior to this...
Oh I have watched luke and laura so many times and love every minute...I think the best part is when luke has to make laura realize that she is in real danger from Frank Smith....Tony and Genie are the best actors bar none....❤❤

I don't know why Laura just didn't come out and tell Luke how she really felt for him that she loved him. Luke might not have gotten more involved with Jennifer. Besides, look at the hurt on his face when she told him she didn't care what he did in his personal life. Somebody needs to "shake" that girl IF not more! All the risks Luke took to protect her and Laura says that to him. Smh....
There are so many other things that she could have said that wouldn't have been as cruel. The line has always struck me as not fitting in with the other dialogue, even if she is in denial.

It does tug at the heartstrings! But it IS of concern to her, lol... we all know what's coming... But she's still trying to play the loyal wife. How unappealing that is.
Funny how humans go crazy for the forbidden, long-drawn-out, illicit love affair, but then get bored out of their minds when it's a consummated marriage. For all the crazy stuff those two get into in the future after their wedding, Luke's chase, her reluctant fall...and his conquest of her...nothing else compared for viewership. We were transfixed! But after he got her? Boooorrrriiinnnggg.
Soaps were so good at exposing human nature. I don't know why people deny it so much.
Love that Luke felt he had to explain himself regarding him being with Jennifer,even when Laura hasn't admitted her feelings for him,yet.
Because he knows he has to keep that door open until Laura admits to herself that she loves him!!
@@meadowlark7182 that's what drives me bonkers. She's deluding herself that she's fallen hard for him. Otherwise she'd be repulsed by him. Imo This lingering of that part of story might have had ratings remain high.
I see Laura didn't bark at Frank Smith the way she did to Luke. She knows Luke is telling the truth and not just trying to make her afraid so he can be near her. Frank Smith was one bad gangster. His way of portraying a gangster was so smooth and spot on, he was the type of actor who could play this role as a King Pin gangster and then play the much more demure role on "Punky Brewster" GH was television at it's absolute best. I am 57 was in middle school when these episodes were hot and it is just as awesome today as it was 44 years ago.

Man - talk about feeling trapped! About 6:03, her expression is a perfect look of a trapped woman. After listening to that song and realizing that she has to trust the man who raped her, to save herself from a man who would kill her. I cannot fathom having to sort out that situation in my head. While it is not real life, they play it as if it is real so well.

The crazy thing is that GF was 17 years old when this was filmed and she had precious little real life experience at this time...

the story is totally "messed up" and weird however, the two of them are TOTALLY AMAZING and convincing every step of the way. I was a young teen watching this originally and I remember routing for her and being mad at Jennifer! LOL
Yea, they were amazing and at one point we were all happy going with the rewrites just to keep watching them act together.
It is Luke Laura is still in denial about her feelings for Luke prove her saying it will irritate her if he walks down the alie with Jennifer

BUT I just do not believe that Luke Spencer left his family in harms way, and in what he thought might be his dying moments, decided to use tht time to completely disrespect his marriage and the woman he had loved , almost to a fault for a decade..... to have a physical escapade with Holly Sutton. Just didn't happen... now either it will be written that way ...

Having seen these episodes in full, I'm less of a LnL fan. The hundreds of lies they had to tell to be together is a huge turn off. Lying to Jenn Smith & Scotty nonstop is nauseating.

Well that is a horse of a different color. Then you would have to blame Bobbie for that. She ask her brother for help to get rid of Laura so she could claim Scotty for herself. Little did anybody knew even Luke himself he fell hopeless in love with his Laura. Plus Luke and His Laura were friends before all of this went down. It wasloveat first sight for Luke.
