Ayyy mine is an 02 5 speed same metallic grey also!! Thank you for all the information my guy!! The next clear day I have here in Texas, (probably Saturday) I'm gonna be throwing on a new radiator, pulleys, tensioner, expansion tank, belt, and water pump and it's gonna be wonderful my baby has been sitting for a month now. Before that it was sitting for a month and I fixed the alternator.. the next day my new belt snapped going down the highway. At least it had a warranty and i found it and got a new one for free lol thank you again dude!!
Wanted to know if you knew a good place to buy the hard coolant lines under the intake I bought a pair from PartsGeek it didn't fit and I also bought some off of eBay they also did not fit properly a link would be great thank you so much
for bleeding you should turn the key to position 2, get inside and turn the heat all the way up and fan speed to the lowest setting. this should activate the 2nd electric pump that m52tu and m54 motors all should have as far as i know. nice video!
Hi, I have a question! Do you know what the black cap that goes over the spring under the coolent tank is called? I broke it trying to replace my coolent tank!
You din't replace two plastic Hoses under the intake, they usually rostet because the connected to the engine block. I know it because I couldn't find slow cooling leak......
lovely video, will be doing the same changes very soon. Only negative is that the bleed procedure explanation was horrendous, very unclear what you were trying to say. Will have to find a different video for that bit.
Great job Chris. Luckily, the M52 and M54 are easy to bleed. My M50B25 was a pain in the backside until I was told to put the front of the car up in the air. Later I discovered it was because of the poor design of the heater core in the dash. The core is the highest point of the M50 cooling system, not the radiator. Have a great weekend. Dutch regards, Nico.
The thermostat is only original, I see that you are installing the Wahler thermostat, two thermostats of this company died after a year of use, they kept the temperature, but there were leaks from under the heater and that's why I decided to put on the original thermostat
Good job! Enjoying the E53 content a lot 🙌🏻
Never stop the Bmw content! Just wish the videos where longer!

that glitter dust is radiator stop-leak additive
Straight to the point. Keep it up man.
Audio was a lot better in this vid! Love the new build

Good advice, and don't add too much or forget to unscrew the bleeder screw!

Its the thermostat for the automatic transmission heat exchanger.
I am wondering is this Manual transmission ? how come you didnt have to unplug the hoses from transmission coolant?

Those are definitely on my list! Probably service everything under the intake manifold at one time 👌 thanks for watching!
Careful w the Hepu aluminum pump started scoring my block and failed early
Stick shift? What year?
The HEPU metal water pump is good choice. I took the same one in my E53 X5 BMW 3.0i 2001.
My friend, I disconnected the coolant level sensor plug, but it still shows me check coolant level, what is the solution?
Sounds like you need a new sensor?
Very good job 👍👍👍
Great video man! Question, why you did not flush the cooling system with water several times before adding antifreeze?
What brand is the under-the-hood lamp?
Neiko brand, I have a video review on my channel!
Cool how the wp had holes for jack bolts. Good design. Too bad they aren't made like that anymore
Yeah that pump was glued on with all that RTV lol, great design.
Where you located
Dude is that black drain pan from the dollar tree though I was the only one that used those
Lmao yes it is, takes one to know one! 😁
Lmao! I have 3 of those can’t beat it

Thanks for sharing, Nico! Didn't realize that fact about M50's, have to keep that in mind.
M54 has a secondary bleeder screw that really sucks to get to.
Great vid. Why didn’t you replace the expansion tank at the same time?
Thanks! And the previous owner told me they replaced the tank already, it looked fresh enough I didn't opt to change it.

Definitely helped
Bro install electric fan!!
