I love twisted up-dos. They're elegant, quick and easy, and they look great on all ages. I use one or two corkscrew hairpins to keep mine in place as Bobbie pins slide out of my hair and I don't like hairsprays or styling gels.
I was so excited to see the video, only to realize I wasted my time, but time is $$ (lmao). I see about 100% of us wanted the woman to show how to achieve the lush creativity she's got on. That's Insulting! :-D
Years ago, I became a real fan of spin pins (in both sizes). Between arthritis & neuropathy, I find them much easier than bobby pins or hairpins. Have you ever tried them with your twists?
Back when I worked I would pull and twist my hair up any old way and secure it with whatever I had, a hair clip, rubberbands, pencils. I have even used paper clips, I did it to get my hair out of my face and off my shoulders when it was getting on my nerves.
What a wonderful video. I loved how the women interacted with each other; it's such a celebration of who we are..how creative we are. :-) We can always help each other in so many ways. Thank you for this video and I loved the tips. I'm so brutal where my hair is concerned; this was awesome and I tried it right away. It works beautifully.
@janice hilton, Thank you for your positive spin on the verbal banter. So refreshing to see good attitudes. Many here have complained about the host's interruptions and the guest not showing her style. Please understand, y'all...this was not a video originally created for UA-cam. This was a clip of a probable 60 to 90 second guest segment of a TV show! The host was doing her job - keeping time, keeping the guest on track, asking questions many viewers probably would have asked, etc. I did not time the segment exactly, but let's just guesstimate it was 90 seconds long. The guest showed us one full style and described two others. That's all she could do before the next commercial break. Remember commercials? They're the mostly annoying ads purchased by sponsors that occur about every ten minutes during a news or talk show... The sponsors pay for that show. They pay for the guest. They pay the salaries of everyone who works at that station. There are very strict timelines in television, down to the millisecond that must be adhered to. The guest's hair probably took more like three to five minutes to create - after back combing, texturizing, and whatever else she does on a daily basis to create that style. Rather than complain, how about showing some gratitude to the folks at CityLine for sharing that clip on UA-cam for all of us to enjoy? They certainly didn't have to. It's not like any of us sponsored that show. An attitude of gratitude can sure go a long way!
Gorgeous hairstyle's! All three looks are super cute & look easy to do. Thanks for such a fun & brilliant video. I'm actually excited to try em out😉👍🏻👍🏻
Kayla Sheppard I thought she was going to do that up do! So basically I was waiting for it!!! It looks so nice! Bring her back and have her do her up do! Jaja
Lovely ladies, good tutorial, very informative. I would like to do this on my own hair and would like to see tutorials for doing your own updoo's please.🤗
Open the pins with the back of a ring finger you are not pinning with. Just slip the closed pin under the edge of the ring that now should be right in front of your face.
There is a smiley blond who's name escapes me at the moment. She shows all kinds of ways to style short hair. Just do a search for short hair twists, or something similar. You could well find her. Sorry I don't remember her name.
My hair is so fine that will not work for me. Hair comes out a little at a time all day long. A fright by the end of the day even without touching it after fastening in place.
Clean hair is very hard to work with especially fine straight hair.... try some product first or the day/eve before you wash & rinse. Extra hold hairspray. The 80's taught me about AquaNet in the white can. It supported an entire genre of Glam Rocker Dudes.
It sucks that the “models” are those with straight/ touchable hair. How about is with naturally curly hair? The curls that the more you touch the more they frizz.
You think the life changing video you come across will be about health or fitness, not how to get that volume bump in the back you've been working on figuring out for 20 years. _eyeroll_
Ewwww...Let hair dresser talk and stop asking so many questions to hear YOURSELF talk so she can explain what she came to demonstrate..."where do you put the bobby pins. in your mouth? (yuck!) Just let the pro talk and stop asking goofy questions please.
Um, the "pro" was talking. In this case it was the host. She was just doing her job. Try giving her a break. Her job is not easy, but like any pro, she makes it look as though it is.
Styles that dont need any instruments at all... Hmmm... Well... I gaurantee that womans hair was blown and or straightened and curled. We all know how different hair is when it hasnt been "styled".. So yeah... Quit lying 🤥
When I used to work if my hair was getting on my nerves I would pull and twist it up any old way and secure it with a rubber band or a clip one time I even used a paper clip! It was all really to get it out of my face and off of my shoulders.

Ok
Yay! Another spin pin fan, lol. 👍
Michelle Oliver needs her own channel!
The stylist has beautiful hair, and her ideas are easy to replicate and attractive.

Thank you. So love how simple and quick but beautiful. 🥰

Where can we go to see her do a style like she’s wearing - several of us are interested!

Pens, chopsticks, binder clips...lol. Let's hear it for originality!
Would love to see how she does other styles such as she was wearing.
I wish I could do this with my hair. Looks so easy to do. 😎🌹
I ave been doing this yrs. Great when damp.
nice to see how the pinning is done. in other videoes I don't see it properly and not in close up. thanks
I love this company the colours are so natural and for me the best thing is no itchy head.

I wish Michele had her own UA-cam channel. I would subscribe immediately

I know!!! The best updo I have ever seen!!!
Kayla Sheppard I thought she was going to do that up do! So basically I was waiting for it!!! It looks so nice! Bring her back and have her do her up do! Jaja
The host is so Annoying, interrupting all the time!... 😒
Me too. Hope to see it.
I like her hair do too.. why she didn’t teach us that?
The model reminds me of Diane Keaton 💕
Have her on for the whole show.
Lovely ladies, good tutorial, very informative. I would like to do this on my own hair and would like to see tutorials for doing your own updoo's please.🤗
Ok,, any tutorials on the other hairdo?
Her hair s gorgeous x
Finally other professional Twisters yay I twist my hair back and forth I twist my hair back and forth
She pulled her earring with hair stuck in it and didn’t even notice it😂😂🙈
She reminds me of Jane Krakowski.
Good eye.
Muy bonito!!!!
Lovely, gonna do. Thank you!
Need a video on the stylist doing the hair.
I want to know how to do the lady talking, her hairstyle
Maybe in about a year's worth of growth, I can do these! Very good to know.
Open the pins with the back of a ring finger you are not pinning with. Just slip the closed pin under the edge of the ring that now should be right in front of your face.
That earring is scaring me!!!
The first updo ages the lady, I feel ... The lady doing the hair has a gorgeous look though ...
Agree with many great comments.
I have such trouble finding dust it matte and shiney in stores. I am not in toronto im in the suburbs. TY :) Michelle
Yes cool ideas beautiful
Does this have any short hair, and I mean short hair application?

my hair is to thick and heavy and long
Hard to do a messy bun
Same problem as mine. Wavy, curly, thick and has it's own mind!
It’s easier to do someone else’s hair than yours girl great 👍 though
Arixx Nexx uwas
I thought I was going to see how she does HER hair. Disapointed
Try this: ua-cam.com/video/u_MzVrUtjQw/v-deo.html
SHE DOESN'T DO HER OWN HAIR.
I need the interviewing lady to be quiet. 😒
I can and do relate, but she has a job to do, and she's doing it rather well. 😉
VERY GOOD I LIKE
it doesnt take two to change a light balb one be quite
It's funny how these ladies are making it sound like this is all new this is been going on since so I don't know if the 20s this is nothing new
Ikr...im 63 and was doing this in my teens especially for water sports.... Also would give great volume when wearing hair down 😜
Try ancient Rome. You're right. It's not new. But new to many here. The ancient Romans didn't have UA-cam. 😁
I know I wanted to see that hairstyle to you that she was wearing I would totally rock it
YESSSSSSS Yes Yes

@@bellapage9565 Love me some Aqua Net 💕
Dry shampoo helps style fine hair in updo.
Her hair is quite thin so its easy to style and doesn't really do that much for her
This should be called the modified princess leia
Princess Leia had hairy cinnamon rolls covering her ears. I didn't see any rolls of any flavor. (Sorry, couldn't resist). 😋
Where was the 3rd option?
The third option was a half-up twist that was pushed up to create more volume.
3:35 did you see the bobby pin falling out?
A place in the sun

Umm. I swear I saw this style in the movie "Roots", Good Times, All in the Family. Just sayin..its nothing new..
That's odd. I saw it in The Bible, Julius Caesar, The Greatest Story Ever Told, et al. You're right. It's nothing new!
Just sayin'... 😉
❤️❤️❤️

Dear host, stop talking!

Okay really u video needs to be made... a toddler could do this. Very disappointed....
Hostess of show PLEASE stop interrupting the hair professional.
Forget it if you have thin hair 😩😩😩
Too short of a video.
The hairstylist hair is gorgeous not the client

Imo these hairstyles look out of place on a middle age woman. I’d never wear my hair in those styles at my age

The host so annoying
How insincere is the presenter lol
