This is so freaking amazing. Thank you so much for putting all this together, its an absolute gem of a resource and was put together perfectly! all the memes also made me absolutely die, you have such an amazing gift of telling facts and also explaining them in memes that the fandom gets xD ALSO THE ENDING TOOK ME RIGHT OUT BAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA that was absolutely AMAZING
You're very welcome, thanks for watching (and for providing advice to get me started a few months back)! I'm glad Yin Yu staring numbly into the void spoke to so many people so strongly.
Black Water's territory being in the south sea and Mount Tonglu being that far north is crazy Xie Lian really hauled that big ass statue across the entirety of mainland China.
You're very welcome! 💕 It's probably for the best that I didn't put a clip of the real deal in there, re: SHSF. Who knows what Konami would've done to me...
This was absolutely amazing, intersting and hilarious at the same time. I love it and the bit from James at the end killed me xD If you ever do end up making that timeline video, I'll definitely be there to watch it!
Omg I misheard “puqi shrine” as “pookie shrine” in the James Cheek segment 😭😭😭😭 On a more serious note this video was an absolute masterpiece and I will absolutely be revisiting it!
this looks really cool!! i like the analysis of the kingdoms and places since i find maps really interesting for book series, it lets me visualize a lot more
@@pengiesama fr! especially for other danmei with more focus on the locations of places that are important in the plot (which never fail to confuse me sometimes)
"The Heavenly Capital is held aloft by Jun Wu’s power, and can be moved on his command, as well as reshaped into gundams and gundam accessories." Great, informative and funny video-- thank you!!!
wait the timeline video is going to be 4 HOURS LONG??? YES WELL BE EATING GOOD VERY SOON (i hope the ending of that also has more my immortal i need it as my bedtime story )
Oh my god this was so helpful I'm totally gonna rewatch this once again before I re read the series thank you! (that ending took me tf out kerjbgreijbgkerubgier)
the best part about this video is i would’ve watched the whole thing even if it wasn’t hilarious or didn’t have any hualian lmao, all that was just a huge bonus
Your dedication to the pursuit of greater learning and knowledge is inspiring and it is for the sake of people like you that I squeeze hualian into every video orifice. 😭🙏💕
This is amazing haha Chinese geography and history is so interesting but isn't the current kingdom and majority of territories worshipping Jun Wu? I always wondered where it was he was worshipped actually since like nearly every god is a god of the east or west. Like how many easts and wests are there? Also I don't think its discussed enough how fucked up asension is? Like its borderline SciFi, where you randomly get chosen to be frozen in time to be worshipped and if you fall out of favour you vanish from reality??? I read that part of the novel and was kind of like oh? Is no one going to explain or talk about that a bit more?
People worship / pay respects to multiple gods in the TGCF setting, since they all handle different subject matter and cover their own distinct territories. (Hua Cheng is pretty much the only one who's a superfan of a single god. 😆) Jun Wu is the emperor of the gods as well as the most powerful, so he pulls worshippers from all over the land and isn't subject to territory rules. This system of godly ascension is fairly popular / well-established in Eastern media, so I think that's why it wasn't focused on in the novel! Xie Lian does address it at least briefly, and mentions how unfair it can be to officials who govern topics that become obsolete with time. Alas, fate does just be like that.

KICTOR WOAHHHH 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

You're very welcome, thanks for watching (and for providing advice to get me started a few months back)! I'm glad Yin Yu staring numbly into the void spoke to so many people so strongly.
KICTOR!!!!
"barren like yin yu's future" took me tf out omg.
I have nothing but respect for that 7 out of 10.
Black Water's territory being in the south sea and Mount Tonglu being that far north is crazy Xie Lian really hauled that big ass statue across the entirety of mainland China.
It did say that the statue was so large that it covered kilometres with every step 💀
To be fair, at least some of that trip was air travel 😆
I am losing my mind at cunty Hua Cheng LMFAO
Though Hua Cheng was fully within his rights to flip off FXMQ for staring, I doubt anyone could resist ogling 😭
THE ENDING??!!
Thanks! Yeah, that baby robot gif was totally sick. It f'ed up those cereal bowls real good.
Gotta appreciate the tiny Junmei in the corner
Off enjoying retirement at the Senior Center. I hear they have volcanic hot springs.
This is the most Ling Wen coded thing ever. 😂. Love you, Pengie!
Tysm!! If only I had her breadth of knowledge and spite-fueled determination...
Silent Hill sink fetus took me out fr...and then the ending? Also thank you, this is so helpful actually!!!
Thank you!! I'll try my best to get the timeline video into a watchable state, haha. I'm glad there's interest!
Omg I misheard “puqi shrine” as “pookie shrine” in the James Cheek segment 😭😭😭😭 On a more serious note this video was an absolute masterpiece and I will absolutely be revisiting it!
Thanks so much!! Perhaps that was intentional on James's part, perhaps not 😆
this looks really cool!! i like the analysis of the kingdoms and places since i find maps really interesting for book series, it lets me visualize a lot more
Thank you! Maps are definitely helpful for series like TGCF and MDZS, where there's so much traveling going on...

i’m so glad I slowed the video speed to catch 0:41
he absolutely would say that lmfao
He would say it, and SQQ would be charmed somehow. They truly deserve each other.
I was looking at the title of this video and debated watxhing it later and then I saw Pengie's name and then I was like "PENGIE!"
Aww, thank you! 💕💕💕 I'm still new to the videomaking thing, so it's very kind of you to give me a chance 😅
wait the timeline video is going to be 4 HOURS LONG??? YES WELL BE EATING GOOD VERY SOON (i hope the ending of that also has more my immortal i need it as my bedtime story )

Behold chengzhu in all his glory, and despair.
This is so cool!! You put a lot of work into this and it shows!
You're too kind! 🙏🙏💕 Thank you so much for watching!
Also this made me interested in learning china's geography too. It cant be easy seeing it's so huge and covers so much area
Oh yes, I wouldn't recommend it for an afternoon project lol. Maybe select some characters and learn about their regions individually!

Qi Rong's swings miss so frequently, so I have to give him props for one of his few home runs. Baseball.
