    They're both mutually "Kings". Elvis is known as The King of Rock n Roll. Michael is known as The King of Pop. Rock n Roll has been extinct since the late 70s. A simpler form of Rock (without the Roll) took over in the 80s, and Pop became the more prominent genre.

      The hysteria around MJ his whole life was insane. More than any other artist. You only need to look at Munich 99 arrival moment on UA-cam or Wetten Dass 99 (where people were crying as soon as he spoke). Man, I lived through it all and he literally was the most famous person that ever lived. Serious next level shit.

      @ayaanbretmitchell9830 Рік тому

      @@for-house-stark I can see you're emotionally charged with your confirmation bias, but being bolshy and condescending is not a good attribute. You're a MJ fan yet you know not much about him.
      I'm 44 and I knew this fact back in 93. Think it was printed in a paper. Not too sure if you're aware but MJ was extremely famous. Population of the world in 80s was what 6 billion? Something like that, and to everyones knowledge EVERY single person on earth was a fan. Unless you lived through it I suppose young minds can't comprehend it.
      Ok so nearly 3 billion watched the memorial so realistically that's 3 billion households. Chances are you'd have families at every home. That in itself answers your question. Then you have the fact the whole of Asia and the whole of India were fans that's minimum 2-3 billion. Lastly some people more brainier than me have posted up on Quora with more facts, but as I said in 93 this was the case. It'll be much more now.
      Everyone's but hurt cos they think Taylor swift or Beyonce is more popular than MJ then wonder why parts of the world don't even know who they are. Also I'm willing to bet a years wages if either of these two died tomo they'd never get 6 months of paparazzi coverage on TV, papers and radio nor would they get that many watching the memorial. Princess Diana had similar amount watching her funeral so she's in a similar category fan wise yet MJ was still more famous.

    "Human Nature" is one of Michael's best songs. I'm glad you two reacted to this performance because he was singing live, where as, the two previous performances of his you reacted to, he was lipsynching. I've seen this many times and always get a kick out of the sound effects he makes with his mouth. Ultimate showman.

    Absolutely prime MJ. Everything he did here there were cheers. He always had a fondness for London Wembley, that's why I feel his final shows were going to be held at O2. But that singing from the crowd still gives chills. The hysteria outside the venue was insane, even the police were in awe of him (all on UA-cam). An exceptional human being. The most famous and loved human being there ever was.

That’s where I live. That’s where I was born. That’s where I’m safe.” ~ MJ)

But if you really wanna hear Mike sing, the Ed Sullivan Show back in 1969. Mike along with his brothers did a song that Smokey Robinson wrote called Whose Loving You. king of rock for me is Chuck Barry, Elvis was never an inspiration for michael, mj always talked about the artists that inspired him elvis was never mentioned, if there are some things similar between them it's because they had the same influences on great black artists, like Jackie Wilson, Sammy Davis Jr, little Richard james Brown... even though he was married to elvis's daughter michael already said some things about elvis and they weren't compliments. 😂

      Elvis never denigrated other entertainers. He actually said that he couldn’t speak bad about other entertainers because there was always plenty of room for everyone. I suggest listening to The Girl is Mine featuring Paul McCartney, Lady in My Life, PYT, and Baby Be Mine. I wish some of these wouldn't made the set list for the Bad tour since he was on his own. He could've taken out some of the Jacksons songs in exchange for these.

    4:58 Michael was influenced by his late father in law Elvis (usually when performing Billy Jean Michael mimics Elvis's rock n roll /hair comb pose; ironically Elvis mimiced the moves from Michael's other inspiration Jackie Wilson). Side note: the sequence glove was introduced in the early 80's to hide Michael's hand as he had began having white splotches from Vitiligo and eventually the glove was not enough and he could no longer cover in his original skin tone and it became easier to cover the darker blotches as the white blotches became the dominant complexion. Which is why he appears lighter in complexion here than just merely 5 years prior to this performance.

    "Human Nature" was written by Steve Porcaro, a keyboardist/singer of the group Toto> another awesome group you should delve into! They have been putting out their own songs for over 40 years and are still touring and are as good as ever.. We love to see Toto perform in concert; . I prefer Steve P.'s version of his song.. React to Toto's "BURN"; (with Joseph Williams singing lead vocals), which was from one of their most current albums. I don't know what the need is to even compare Michael J. to Elvis'; they are completely different in singing, style, type of music they sing and dance.. so why even compare?

    So fun fact: Michael Jackson choreographs each of his songs, writes his songs, and composes his music. If yall are interested in how he puts on such an awesome show, check out "This is It," this is a movie that captures MJ creativity that comes to life on Stage. It really is worth thecheckinf out if you haven't already. Great reaction!

    OMG I loved watching your reactions! ❤ But I had no idea that people were arguing in the comments!! LOL why must people always find the silliest things to argue about!! Besides, correct me if I'm wrong, (and I know you will!) But it's two different categories. Elvis was/is the King of Rock n Roll. Michael was/is the King of Pop. It's like trying to compare apples and squash! They aren't even in the same family! LOL Anyway, luv ya 😊❤

    long-time subscriber, i identify with what u said about the phrase 'the king'!! On an Elvis news story on Newsnation recently, I said the king of pop was married to Elvis' daughter off the cuff, oh my god, since then I got a barrage of Elvis nuts saying he's the king why are you saying that? Then Michael Jackson nuts afterwards chipped in saying why would you allow them to say Elvis was king!!! i was like , i dont care whos king they are both great. Loved the channel for ages guys peace and love to you both X

    Lol also, please react to MJ in Captain EO (3D movie that used to play at Disneyland)! It was so good & his song at the end of it called We are here to change the world/Another part of me. Those songs just get me hyped & bring a smile to my face!
