If you like this rock sound by Michael Jackson, then 'Give in to Me' is an absolute MUST! It's my all time favourite Michael Jackson song. MJ + Slash = PERFECTION!!
he did a concert for princess diana and took this song off the list of songs he was going to sing out of respect for her she found out and told him oh you have to sing it
The concert wasn't for her. He was on tour and being friends with her, when he saw her before the show she asked him if he was going to do the song. He told her no, that he took it off the list out of respect for her since he knew she was going to be there. She then replied that it was her favorite song.
Funny story. A year after mj passed away I got his "this is it" album. My little sister flat out no joke said these exact words in a snotty "Well with michael dead justin beiber is the king of pop now" Her beiber poster was violated with black and red marker the following day
If you weren't around when MJ was at his peak, you wouldn't understand how huge he was. The crowds that gathered around him were tremendous. Like when the Pope makes an appearance. It was insane.
After the success of the Thriller album MJ was one of the most famous people on earth. EASILY. LOL. Everything he did back then was written about, talked about,etc,etc,..being THAT famous isn't the greatest thing tho. IMHO.

What MJ went through is absolutely horrifying. I think if you dive more into his story you’ll get to find out that he was massively framed throughout his life - started as soon as he bought the Beatles catalogue in 1985. He has an Album called HIStory which is pretty personal! He was fed up and exposed a lot of things - you’d be VERY surprised! It includes a feature with Biggie, A track against Santa Barbara district attorney Tom Sneddon, a Song about little Susie, A diss track against the Media/Tabloids, a very emotional track about nature and the earth, a song with his sister Janet about how tired he is, a track about him feeling alone and isolated as well as you are not alone which was the first track ever to debut at #1 in 1995 and so on.. 99% of the negative stories you hear about Michael Jackson are 100% not true. Much love from Germany, huge MJ Fan here - love your reactions!! 🫶🏼
He looked so BADass in this video, imho the best he ever looked. Back in the days in the Netherlands many of us had the Thriller leather jacket and I went the extra mile to grow my hair just like MJ, specific the Dirty Diana look. MJ never dies!
The next Michael Jackson song u need to do is “Scream”. The song is about his frustrations about the allegations. He is very aggressive and pissed off in the song. I freaking love that song
Probably....with the exception of ELVIS . He tried to make a marriage work with his daughter even. Well ...if SOMETHING doesn't work it doesn't work .😅
His first performance of the moonwalk was a live performance of Billy Jean. When he made the Dirty Diana video, I was in one of the audiences that watched him perform live. He was making the video for his Moonwalker Video. Seeking perfection, Michael performed this song about four times for three different audiences. Each audience has to watch him perform for about six hours each. He wanted to record the audience that cheered the loudest. Every time he finished singing the song, he had to change his ripped shirt, rest, and freshen up to do it all over again. He gave every member in each audience the first release of the Dirty Diana CD. I still have my CD.
I cannot imagine not having Michael’s music in my life, he’s definitely my favorite artist of all time. It was said this video was a live concert/performance. Him & Princess Diana were good friends, and she said this was her favorite song of his. Michael at the time didn’t perform it when she was in the crowd out of respect, he didn’t know she loved that song. He did perform it. The ahow was at Wembley 1988 where he met with her and Prince Charles before the concert started. The full concert is available, including the performance of this song.

Michael Jackson truly transcended generations. I’m born in 95 and still became a big fan of Mike, through my pop’s side (mainly my grandmama). She has real original vinyls. She would play the temptations’ Christmas album every Christmas for me and my cousins . But she put us onto so much. Especially Michael. I still remember the sad day he left. 2009 summer time. I had just came out of the theaters with my parents, from watching transformers: revenge of the fallen. My mama yelped out “oh my god! Michael Jackson diied”😂. Not funny but I really remember that day like Yesterday. Just like I remember “September” at 5 or 6 🤦🏾♂️🙏🏾.
Yeah! I would love to see you guys go down the vast Michael Jackson rabbit whole. There is so many reasons to love and enjoy his creativity, regardless of what many haters say and want us to believe.
This song, "Dirty Diana" is not a cover song, this is a Michael Jackson original song, the song he did that was a cover was when he did the song "come together" by The Beatles
That moonwalk is a tricky question. He performed it live on Motown 25 in early 83. I remember because our parents let us stay up to watch even though later i realized it was pre recorded. Thing is he actually did it a James Brown show live later in 1983. James invited him onstage as he was in crowd. There is a great video of it on UA-cam
His music and dance moves are what made him stand out from his brothers. Also, this is not a video. It is a live performance. His performances were amazing.
I appreciate you guys telling your introduction to MJ at the start of the video. Not many people would be honest in telling their perspective into discovering a recording artist they aren't familiar with, even though they are so famous and people believe that everyone is suppose to like that act. Totally respect it!
I saw MJ in concert in 1993,the only time he visited my country,Argentina,at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires with the Dangerous Tour. The thing about his shows was that they were a complete spectacle, not just someone performing songs,he was also a phenomenal dancer, accompanied by other dancing phenomena and with a tight band with some of the best musicians you could find. It was a powerful and emotional show in many ways, coupled with the incomparable charisma of the King of Pop. He would bring fans on stage and they would really lost control. No one will ever be able to replace him.
You can always tell when MJ has written the song because he loses his temper. 😂 mainly at the end of the song. He starts fuming and going on a mad one with his vocals. Work of art. Can’t be replicated. EVER
I think the weekend is literally studying Michael Jackson's playbook, and I love it. The dirty diana cover is quite good. No one will ever replace Michael jackson, but if an artist can appreciate the true visual and artistic nature of MJ, I'll definitely tune into see. Michael once said, "Never stop studying the greats," and it's obvious the weekend studies, jackson.. btw good reaction 👍 Oh BTW it's a staged concert just like give into me.
MJ THE LAST GLOBAL LEGEND WITH HIS OWN SIGNATURE, STYLE, DANCE, MUSIC.....ALL BEFORE INTERNET, SOCIAL MEDIA ETC..... SAD PART IS THEY BRING HIM DOWN FOR HATE....IN MY OPINION HE WAS TO PURE FOR THIS BROKEN WORLD. I GREW UP WITH HIM AND SEE HIM GROWING FROM THRILLER TO HIS END.....1 OF A KIND
"She said he's not coming back, because he's sleeping with me!" is the most lyrics ever! 😂 The words, the plot twist, the drama, the delivery - everything's top notch! This was a staged video, but if I remember correctly this was filmed while he was already on tour, so there was no time for elaborate production and the woman in the video is Sheryl Crow, who was one of his back-up vocals on tour.
My son is 6 he knows who MJ is and I bet many kids do know him even if it wasn’t in your generation most people know of him ,he was magic in every way and tha’s why his music crossed generations and continues to,maybe that’s why it’s so hard to believe that you didn’t know much of thriller
Michael Jackson performed his iconic moonwalk on March 25 , 1983 during his performance at the Motown 25. I was 15 and it completely blew everyone away. Even Gene. Kelly called him and told him that he had just created history with his performance and said that it was the most incredible thing that he had ever seen!!!
Michael Jackson was so iconic, he was and forever will be a Legend. I hate it when people say things about how something is fake because they think everyone has to have seen something but all people are different and from different places or life styles. I'm just happy to see you guy enjoy MJ. I found out about MJ when he passed away in 2009. I was 11 and until that day I had thought he was 1 of 3 Michael Jackson's lol, turned out he was all 3. So the day I fell in love with MJ, was sadly the day he died. - If you like the feel of Dirty Diana then check out the song and music video for the Beatles cover he did for *Come Together*, it kinda had the same feel. Great reaction guys!
He died when I was 15 or so , and it’s just now when I’m 30 I kinda rediscovered his music. I wish he was still here , to know he is out there alive… did not appreciate it back in my teen years. Anyways , thank God for YT and all those amazing clips I can play on repeat ❤
Grew up with Michael and The Jackson Five from the late 60’s, thru his solo. This is ABSOLUTELY one of my favorite songs of his, dirty, gritty. Let’s face it… what man doesn’t like a “Dirty Diana”? 😜 Legendary.
The best story about this song is while performing where Princess Diana would be, he took this song out to not offend her. Princess Diana was disappointed because this was her favorite song.
Every race & country loved Michael Jackson. He was Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, and Elvis all rolled into 1. He ruled the world for a decade. Im fortunate to have been a kid in his prime. MJ had no competition.
MJ knew exactly what to do and when, everything exactly timed.☝️👍 He was just one of the best and they liked to watch him.❤️🔥💋👑 You were always entertained! I miss him...😢
Great explanation how public opinion shaped trough media and sheer enjoyment of tearing down such icons. I glad you are so open minded and give him a chance. I hope you'll do so much more. For example "Bad" full version is probably Michaels best acting, chills. Chills.
There is only one King of Pop! I'll always be a Michael Jackson fan. I was pretty young when I first heard Dirty Diana (the song had already been out for several years). I wasn't entirely suprised because if you listen to his albums, every song has a different creative style, tone, cadence, tempo and beat. I feel like Janet Jackson's (his sister) Black Cat was more of a suprise to me because of the rock tempo that is way different than her usual upbeat, R&B, pop and soul. Legendary artists and well created songs that will never be forgotten. Great reaction y'all!
There's an MJ Biopic coming out in April of 2025 directed by Antoine Fuqua. Who did Training Day, End of Watch, The Equalizer. Just a few classics too mention. Jackie Jackson's son, Jafar, is going to play Michael for most of the movie. All you MJ fans out there!!! Stay tuned!!!!
1983 he did the moonwalk and never credited himself for doing it first! He perfected it! He always gave credit from where he learnt from too! Called Respect!. 1988 Dirty Diana! Changed the game! Per say! "You study the greats you become the Great!" MJ 😊
I've loved Michael Jackson since I first saw him on Ed Sullivan show, I was 9yrs, I'm 62yrs and NO ONE ELSE MATTERS 🥰 IT'S Michael Jackson and everyone else! I STILL MORN MY BEAUTIFUL MICHAEL 🌹 RIP 😭😇 BEAUTIFUL SOUL ❤️
Thank you for the first 6mins you gave us to explain about how both of you discovered MJ's music. I can totally relate to it-- I think I was about 15yo when Michael died. I always knew the name Michael Jackson and heard his classics, but there were really none in my surroundings who were totally big fans of him so I never really understand how big he was, as internet was still limited. My parents listen to his musics in the 70s when he was still in the Jackson 5 and during Off The Wall album. I was exposed to his earlier musics in those days but not afterwards. So in the early 2000s until his death, whenever the name Michael Jackson came up in media, I remember it was never really a good thing about him. They called him wacko jacko and it was just about (mostly) his trials at the time. My parents were not like, a big big fan, but I remember they sympathized so much about what happened with him. But I don't know why, I just never thought to dig more about him, probably I was into something else at the time, and I was just being indifferent because how the media portrayed him as this "weird guy" (which is very rude). That-- until he died in 2009. I remember watching his memorial service with my family on TV (it was live on every national tv channel in my country at that time). I remember my mom said this when we watched the service, "Now, that is the King of Pop. Nobody will ever do the same like he did." And the next day, I sat in front of my computer, went on UA-cam and discovered Thriller for the first time. That-- until now, as I discovered more and more about his musics, his legacy, his talents, his humanity; make me think that no entertainer can do it like Michael, ever again. People misunderstood him very much just because he 'looked diffferent' and mysterious. Even any artists today would kill for privacy. And as an enjoyer of arts, I don't think it's our business to know about the artists' private lives. Anyway, in Michael's case, I know he was innocent for all the charges being charged to him at the time and will always be. Of course he had flaws, he's just human after all, but I think what we can do now is to learn from what has happened and don't let things like that happen again in today's generation. MJ is a legend and forever will be missed 💛 P.S. Sorry for the long comment (I think this is my first time leaving a comment this long in someone's youtube channel 😂) However, love your reaction and yes, react to more MJ, please! 👑
Steve Stevens🤘This is my favourite MJ performance. It's cool and different. So glad I got to be a teen and young adult in the 80s. Had the best music. No social media cancer. No helicopter parents tracking my every move. What a time to be young. Also, we had the best hair 😂
Being born in 1986 I grew up listening to Michael Jackson this song right here is one of my favorites by him along with smooth criminal my favorite artists of all time have been compared to him and actually did a cover of this song and that is The Weeknd which I was fortunate to see in concert August 11th of 2022 in that cover of the song I played it for my dad my dad was like is that Michael Jackson with a newer version of this song and I was like no it's The Weeknd . So but I've listened to Michael Jackson all my life from his solo stuff from the stuff he did with the Jackson 5's the stuff that him and Janet Jackson did together the King of Pop without a doubt was one of the best to ever do it. The Weeknd has credited him and Prince as two of the biggest influences on his style and the reason he started making music .
One of his best music videos is Remember The Time. Epic on the scale of Thriller and had Eddie Murphy, Imam ( David Bowie's wife) and Magic Johnson (the basketball player) in it.
You have to see his “smooth criminal”. Michael Jackson was known for not only being the king of pop for his music but for his videos. They were masterpieces. Smooth criminal has a true movie video that went with his moonwalker film and it’s one of my personal favourites.

He told her no, that he took it off the list out of respect for her since he knew she was going to be there. She then replied that it was her favorite song.

Far and away the best song ever by MJ. He had the ability to cross genres whenever he wanted. I wish he would have done it more.
¡Que envidiaaaaa! Saludos a los Argentinos❤
@@euniceaguilar2140 saludos!🖐
You can always tell when MJ has written the song because he loses his temper. 😂 mainly at the end of the song. He starts fuming and going on a mad one with his vocals. Work of art. Can’t be replicated. EVER
Mike got nothing but timeless classics this would be a banger today.
I think the weekend is literally studying Michael Jackson's playbook, and I love it. The dirty diana cover is quite good. No one will ever replace Michael jackson, but if an artist can appreciate the true visual and artistic nature of MJ, I'll definitely tune into see. Michael once said, "Never stop studying the greats," and it's obvious the weekend studies, jackson.. btw good reaction 👍
Oh BTW it's a staged concert just like give into me.
There are so many beautiful songs you guys should listen to of MJ
Man in the mirror
Who is it
Give in to me
Childhood
Speechless
Will you be there.
MJ will always be the GOAT
Hip hop artists love Michael Jackson.
That's some rockstar shit right there. 🤟
My son is 6 he knows who MJ is and I bet many kids do know him even if it wasn’t in your generation most people know of him ,he was magic in every way and tha’s why his music crossed generations and continues to,maybe that’s why it’s so hard to believe that you didn’t know much of thriller
MJ stood out as the composer of this song. This and Smooth Criminal are two of the best he wrote and composed.
man Michael could move!!
There are so many great songs by M.J. but this one hit me hard since the first time I heard it :) I just love the feel of it.
I remember watching that tv special and it was totally awesome!🤩🤩
Legendary.
The best story about this song is while performing where Princess Diana would be, he took this song out to not offend her. Princess Diana was disappointed because this was her favorite song.
Michael ha fatto tutto gli stili musicali ...e amava molto la classica...non era solo Pop.., molto, molto di piu'! Nessuno come lui😢
Every race & country loved Michael Jackson. He was Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, and Elvis all rolled into 1. He ruled the world for a decade. Im fortunate to have been a kid in his prime. MJ had no competition.
Didn't expect? The guitar in Beat it is by Eddie Van Halen. In Black or White it was made by Slash. Michael really loved rock.
Never knew Van Halen did the guitar in Best it...wow!!!
You really had to be on his timeline. It was a great time. Everyone around the world couldn't get enough..
I saw him live in Gothenburg 88, it was MAGIC!
The guitar player is Steve Stevens from Billy Idol"s band.
This is my absolute favorite MJ song. I love that Steve Steven played on this track.
MJ knew exactly what to do and when, everything exactly timed.☝️👍 He was just one of the best and they liked to watch him.❤️🔥💋👑 You were always entertained! I miss him...😢
Stranger In Moscow, one of the greatest songs and videos ever . I am enjoying your MJ reactions :-)
I remember watching this on MTV (back when it was good) and everyone at school just lost their minds haha.
Yes!!!! This is my favorite MJ song and this video shows his sensuality
I got to see him twice and each time he was amazing love Michael Jackson.
This song is so amazing, I never get tired of hearing it. Give in to me is also amazing MJ Rock song.
I'm 65 so I knew him as I kid. I liked the Osmonds. I like his older song man in the mirror.
MJ is a legend and forever will be missed 💛
P.S. Sorry for the long comment (I think this is my first time leaving a comment this long in someone's youtube channel 😂) However, love your reaction and yes, react to more MJ, please! 👑
I love the rock side of Michael!
And that is why he is the king of Pop! 😎
Steve Stevens🤘This is my favourite MJ performance. It's cool and different. So glad I got to be a teen and young adult in the 80s. Had the best music. No social media cancer. No helicopter parents tracking my every move. What a time to be young. Also, we had the best hair 😂
Thanks for being so honest and telling your story with MJ! Michael did so many styles ... you might like GIVE IN TO ME featuring SLASH!
MJ the king❤
this song is 1 of my favorites
The strings in the background against the harshness of the electric guitar is music magic!
My favorite mj song is "Stranger in moscow" of the 90s, but This is one of my favorites of the 80s of him
shawty was chilling. As soon as she seen MJ she brightened up lmao aint nothiing about Michaels impact changed.
Yes Motown 1983 ! We all tried to moonwalk❤😂
Michael Jackson - Man in the Mirror It's very good aswell
Michael Jackson was a musical genius
One of his best music videos is Remember The Time. Epic on the scale of Thriller and had Eddie Murphy, Imam ( David Bowie's wife) and Magic Johnson (the basketball player) in it.
This was a video that was shot in a warehouse, to look like a concert.
You have to see his “smooth criminal”. Michael Jackson was known for not only being the king of pop for his music but for his videos. They were masterpieces. Smooth criminal has a true movie video that went with his moonwalker film and it’s one of my personal favourites.
I Was 14 yrs old when MTV first aired August of 1981 I'm lucky to watch the first video and the rest was history
If you grew up in the 70’s and 80’s you have a totally different perspective on MJ. For much of my childhood he was the most famous person on earth.
You also need to hear some of his songs with the Jackson Five to appreciate his gifts. A great entertainer.
