Hey guys, it's the old VT logger, l just want to give a shout out to , Mason. It's great to see a kid as young as him, to be working in such a heavy equipment environment, and never complains. Not many young kids that could handle that! Kudos to you, MASON !

Something to be said for genetics but you can't discount the importance in general of surrounding yourself with people who really know what they're doing when you are a young guy learning something new (and that goes for any job really). Mason is obviously a good listener. Kids like him, my nephew who's a hard charging 12B SGT, and others like them - they truly give me hope for the future.

20 years from now Tucker will be doing a video "this is my Dad's dozer we fixed up years ago and it needs some attention. My Brother and I along with our company engineer Mason are going to fix it up for him". That's a darn good sized dozer right there. Watching all you fellas working and cutting up makes me nostalgic for my old buds back in the railroad shop working on locos using giant size tools making jokes that don't go well with family channel UA-cam videos. Thanks.

Clint, I would like to encourage all of you to implement an ear protection protocol. Those impact wrenches and grinders can take a toll on your hearing. I’m sitting here with a thousand crickets singing in my ears from not protecting myself during years of wrenching. It’s called tinnitus and it’s not reversible. Like vision, once hearing is gone, it’s gone. Thanks, Bud!

I truly like your thinking the way you save a part, when you can, rather than chuck it. Remember when my young apprentices would give me the eye and wonder why I did that at times. If it's cost effective then that's when you bite the bullet and do it. Most of them took pride in their handy work with a job like that, and that followed them through with their chosen profession. Welding skills, machining skills and all the rest improved ten fold, they became more than parts changers and opened their minds to why these certain parts wear out or break.

I pray that you do remember some of us folks that admire your skill sets and just a bunch of head swelling stuff that just ain't right between us guys. Since the video is a hit for sure, I would like to tell you about my dads ways of doing some stuff. We was working with new to us junk, around a nineteen forties model "Cletrac" dozer. It just was a mile ahead of somethings other dozers wouldn't do. Now put in down there in your state and it would be part of some fill in a road.
Dad built a cement tank that he would run his dozer through. First it went down to the river and was walked around till almost all of the mud and such was off. He had a old Ford truck, a F8 that had the kind of ramp he could walk that machine up and onto the truck. Back behind our to us get place to work shop was this pit that dad had figured out how to hold used engine oil, diesel, and just anything that made things slick as snot. We had a older homemade triple drum yarder that had its use for skidding trees out of the woods. When he found another bigger and better yarder, that breakdown special yarder came home and set behind the shop an he lowered the dozer into that crap called oil and other fine words. I will say that sometimes a neighbors cat or other animal might fall in and drown. Sad but true, dad just didn't care about anything but his moonshine and fast women. I could depend on a new mom about every month. I never really called any of them "Mom" as that was just a waste of time. Back to this fascinating story, at least in my pea brain.... animal dies and it drew flies.. flies get into the pit and believe me when I say that sometimes the flies would swarm over that dang pit and then die. It justified my dad for his cruelty to all living things. Those old machines that dad would dunk into that menagerie called lubrication made most squeaky tracks or other stuff quiet down a lot and it probably did add some kind of life to stuff. I was mean as snot myself and after dad had torn half my hide off of me .... "Giving me my education"..... well I took his pickup and dunked it into that stuff and then yanked it up in front of where he stayed. Those seats were a perfect material for setting something afire. I burnt it up and I can say that it burnt hot and left a trail of smoke in the air you could see from a distance. It backfired on me as dad was not so good at making payments on something and still have his dollars for some "brand new to me mom" plus all the booze they swilled in. The insurance paid it off and he got some good cash for it going up in flames. So a few days later, he is back into a new to him rig. Can't make this stuff up... kind of how I won my emancipation from him

The rumors are that Kevin would love nothing better than to paint a dozer, GREEN !!!!
It would give him good practice for when he plans to paint the Camino GREEN.
LOVE that you're bringing the boys up in the business

Nice work, guys. great to have all the big boy tools . The last one I did we replaced some pins on a 1951 Clevtrac had to have Komatsu mechanic come out with a hyd pin removial tool. Was a job tried to find those track links ,shark tooth whatever they are called but couldn't match them up. Spent 14 weekends driving a 100 miles both ways to get it, had to but the track back on, with all hand tools, on a slope down hill side so we dug the top side bank out a ft deeper than the track and come alonged it into the rut that took two weekend ,rebuild the fuel pump and injectors, hyd lines all new used rollers how sits on a new grave in So Nevada . Love to watch the videos you make It looks easy

3/13/24..Dresser Dozer 25G trak roller brg. (& components) removal, weld build-up/lathe cut-to-fit & re-install + re-attach both trks...man-o-man Clint, what a video! Lots of detailed info on where to find/search for various parts for various heavy equip machines. This is an educational video covering many areas of serious undercarriage components. You are showing viewers best practices of repairing bulldozers, all major brands: JD, CAT & now this early IH, covering entire spectrum from engine, hydraulics...& today's video was both left/right upper roller bearings + components getting removed, weld-metal filled/lathe-turned-down-to-fit & totally re-installed & re-lubricated & made ready to roll! Your shop & serious pro level tools is amazing. So I am wondering if you have some type of JohnDeere certification identifying your shop as factory certified? I don't see any big JD 'flag' hanging on your upper wall area...just wondering..🤔 A+ this video! Stay safe & carry on !🔧⚙️🔩💪👍🍺😊

I like this video. I like the old stuff that gets fixed up on the cheap. I like making replacement parts and welding and turning parts instead of buying OEM or non OEM new.

    Great job as always 👍
Not telling u how to do things. 😃
Idea...make a mold with tin foil to hold paper towel. Make the sides higher to catch grease etc.
Tract tightener on a bombardier is about the same as a dozer. Just a different spot and the grease falls on the track.
I didn't want grease fall off the track and stepping in some grease as you moved the machine. So that was my remedy many yrs ago.
