Loved your video. I am a local and have to mention little necks. I like the put on a grill whole until they open when they're cooked. Carefully remove and eat them with the natural juices. Some people use hot sauce as well.
Thanks for watching! I am learning to eat things from the Phylum Molluska. I'm up to cooked oysters and it will take a little more time for the little necks but I will get there...
I have been going to Narragansett since 1950 when I was 5 years old. Every time we went to Aunt carries, we were disapointed. I never ate at Iggy/s My family always went to Georges.
Thanks for watching! We have a "Seafood Shack" book that lists Aunt Carrie's but, as we said, we think Iggy's was better and may be worth a visit the next time you are in the Ocean State.
My partner is born & raised in Conn. on the coast. He has always made the clear broth clam chowder from his grandmother’s recipe. I never had it or knew about it until I met him. Very good!
Thanks for watching! We had heard of the clear broth version but, as we said, never tried it. We have a great traditional cream-based recipe from Julia Childs and have vowed to convert it to a clear version just for fun.
We just went to Fishermens. Prob the best place weve stayed at yet! I read reviews about the levelness. We were in Area 1, site 97 and didnt need any levelling at all! Super long too! 50 amps! Strong cell/Mifi signals! Roads are in tact! Lol. 😂 Cant ask for better!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cindy, I did what you did with the powdered sugar!!!😂❤ As an Italian, I would say the doughboy is like a flat zeppole but lighter and less greasy. Oh look its Tues! *rubs hands together* See you later!!!!!
Thanks for watching! Rhode Island has some great state parks and Fisherman's is definitely among them. We love food and always enjoy exploring the regional differences.
OMG - I love your food tour videos. I'm a NE clam chowder fan but I think I would like Rhode Island clam chowder. Might need to try making it. Cindy picked out exactly what I would have at the seafood market. I have never opened an oyster or grilled them. Now I have to try. Great video!
Thanks for watching! It will be a huge moment if ever I can eat a raw one like Cindy. In the meantime, I will keep on grilling them whenever I can. We're lucky here in New England with all of our seafood options and traditions.
Thanks guys! I have no idea why but when things are super tight, we usually grease it in one try. When we're in a wide open grass field the size of Connecticut, it seems as if we couldn't back it in without 15 random corrections...
Just returned from Fisherman's Memorial today. We stayed at site 7 great facilities like you mentioned and ate at Iggys. I was thinking how you guys, being from Vermont and not too far would enjoy this state park. I did look very closely at all the Airstreams for 1062 because you never know....You beat me to my suggestion though. Must have missed you by a couple of days. While we were there, we explored the other shore defences/ state parks, ie. Beaver tail State park. Great place, may get back there next year.
Thanks for watching! We're bummed that we missed you guys. We'll have to go back as well due to the fact that we were thwarted in our attempt to try some Dell's Lemonade. Keep an eye out for 1062...
As a native RI’er this is our “home” park but you definitely have to make reservations in advance - we just got back from a week there! So glad you went to Iggy’s too as we prefer their chowder and clamcakes over Aunt Carrie’s.
Thanks for watching! Many people from our group agreed that Iggy's was better. That will be our stop next time. The video was too long but we also bought a bottle of Eclipse coffee milk - delicious!
Thanks for watching! The Luv Sub has never had a TV in it. We do watch a lot of UA-cam and am 99% sure we will buy a StarLink system very soon. We run Goodyear Endurance on the trailer and have always loved Goodyear products. Out two previous sets of Marathons performed flawlessly...
I hope you tried the Dells frozen lemonade while you where there. It’s amazing and unfortunately only found in Rhode Island and I live in Florida. Enjoy Mystic and of course try the pizza.
Thanks for watching! That's a long story that required some creative editing as we mentioned many times how we were going to try Dell's. We traveled to a beach location that hadn't opened for the season yet. We were just too tired after that drive.
Thanks for watching! I'm puzzled because we start the video tasting Aunt Carrie's. We've been there many times and always considered it the Gold Standard. But, in our honest opinion, Iggy's was better. Each to their own...
We love the city of Rhode Island! Especially Narrangasset!
Thanks for watching! Yes, Rhode Island is not very big. However, it has a larger population that my home state of Vermont...
I'm slightly offended by this but I caught the joke haha!

The best way to eat clamcakes is to dunk them in the chowder!
Thanks for watching! You can tell we're Vermonters and not Rhode Islanders. That's a great tip that we should have tried. Next time.
Another super video. Love the food sampling. Next week will you try Mystic Pizza? Can’t wait to see.
Loved your review of chowder and the seafood. Love your videos.
Thanks guys! We've had a few comments on Mystic Pizza so we'll have to go back. We hit a brewery next door but were already too stuffed from stuffies.
Thanks Jean! Great hearing from you as always. Cindy just asked - are you guys going to Fryeburg? We hope to see you there or down the road soon...

@@LuvSubbin See - all of the seafood options - is another reason to visit NE!
"RVing: fixing things in beautiful places and trying four times to back your rig in correctly" 🤣 Great video guys!

i was born and raised in rhode island next time you go, you should check out George's in Galilee and try lobster rolls and NY System Hot Weiners
Thanks Lori! We keep an Excel spreadsheet on all of the recommendations we get for future travel. We've added George's to our list...
Brent here from Airstream Addicts. Keep up the good work. You’ve at least another 20 years in the making. 🙂
Thanks Brent! Great hearing from you and thanks for watching. We'll keep having fun and making the videos to go along with that.
What a yummy trip!
All of our trips - especially when Rivet is along - are yummy!

Cindy, I am your Huckleberry when it comes to raw oysters! I love them grilled too Rich! I believe I would love the RI chowder! Safe travels!
Thanks for watching! And now you know - if you want some RI chowder go to Iggy's.

@@LuvSubbin yes things start to open on or after Memorial Day for sure. Enjoyed the video!
What RV Resort that you stay at
Thanks for watching! We were at Fisherman's Memorial State Park in Narragansett.
Iggy's is NOT the best ..... Walk down the hill to the next block, Aunt Carrie's Seafood .... BETTER Quality, any day
