MOJANG: fix copper

- In recent minecraft updates, mojang added copper to minecraft, since a few updates have now passed and 1.20 is now out, there are only a handful of uses for copper in minecraft despite it being one of the most used metals in the real world, so what do mojang have to do so this ore isn't completely ignored all the time like it currently is?

Im so angry that they removed copper horns! those could have been so much fun, even though they were pretty useless...
I think perhaps they could take some of the redstone recipes that use quartz and replace it with copper.
It isn't a good idea to remove uses of one item just for a new item.

I myself felt that you should be able to use a block of copper to upgrade any sword in the SmithingTable where basically, it allows you to stand out during a storm, and have a 75% chance to get struck, but when you do, the sword becomes 'charged' and would deal a bunch of damage on the next swing.
Making them viable for warden slaying and the likes

I completely agree.When i see copper in a cave, it just looks obsolete to my eye even tho i am in love with building stuff.
I wanted the copper golem so we can have a use for copper
But we just got a flying hopper. Which is much better then POOSH BOOTOON but since the lightning rod is made with copper. How about electrifying copper for electric fences electric blocks electric everything
Maybe even electric tools which paralyze mobs and instantly smelt ores and even an electric wand which summons lightning no matter what
But for the wand I think it should need like three tridents for it to be harder to get and maybe some amythest to give it more uses then... Better optifine and not really glass glass

What they should've done is have a damn reason to add copper. These devs are in control of the most creative game ever made and they add the most uninspired and most uncreative additions to the game. What the fuck are you doing Mojang.
I agree about tweaking powered rails to use copper. A similar change should probably be made to the clock as well, though it’s a pretty useless item to begin with so it wouldn’t change much. The copper wires idea is perfect.
For my own idea I’d like to suggest cut copper panels that can be placed like carpet, but on any side of a block and also oxidize. Maybe too many decorative used already but I think that has potential.

@@highkeyhateme Thanks man. I was racking my brain to find a realistic use for copper that wouldn't be a bad game mechanics choice lol. I considered that you could maybe make bronze by combining a block of raw copper with a block of sand, a bonemeal, and a piece of iron ore in the crafting table and cooking the result in a furnace, but what would you use that for except more decorations? Tools don't need another tier. Maybe craftable bronze statues of mobs using bronze blocks and mob heads? Neat but needs something else.
Copper overhaul mod is something I believe copper should have been. More specifically coating armor in copper to give it some sort of buff. In the mod though, it's adding the rod on armor for lightning buffs but that's close enough.

The lighting rod is important if you play superflat without structeres, you need them to get zombie pigmans
but then again who would want to play superflat in survival mode

I feel it should be a key for iron doors but make a copper door it only could be open with a key
on the "copper tools" thing
with copper's abundance, it would be more versatile than iron despite being weaker. stone tools are just too shitty to use.
They should add copper armor and have special properties but have worse armor stats than armor
The problem with locket chests is that *YOU CAN LITERALLY BREAK THE CHESTS*
yea that’s the only issue it would have to work like a shulker or be unbreakable unless lock removed

Alloys would be a great way to add more advanced materials to vanilla without requiring a ton of new ores. Steel and brass in particular could be used for pump/valve systems to transfer fluids like water and lava efficiently.
We already have redstone that gives multiple pieces per block. We definitely didn't need another one. No tools, armor and it doesn't look like people are building a lot of Liberty Statues either.
I hate copper took over ALOT of iron ore placements, now I just TNT copper blocks out of anger, I’ve been lacking ALOT of iron since this update.
Here after 1.21 announcements and first 2 snapshots… lol. I wonder if this is how they will roll new ores out in future, slowly.
in the newest snapshot didn't they add copper bulbs?Are they useful for redstone?

Personally I think it would be perfectly okay if copper was just a building block because it's just so potentially useful to create roofs for rustic buildings. Just Like in real life. However I don't really like the Texture I think It's not very good, It's to Bright, looks out of place place to me and It doesn't really look like realistic plates or tiles that make Real Roofs. I'd really like it to look more like plates of metal riveted together...

You should make everything that needs iron or gold as a copper version. Or as a redstone replacement.
I think maybe piping would be cool for access to water underground or for all you construction nerds copper piping for like a sink in your house lol. I thought it would be useless for electricity since we already have red stone as the “electricity” in the game as well as torches for lighting. I’m curious to see how copper gets worked on in the future not sure what I would use it for if I had control of its updates

Bro you can just mine your way into a "locked" house and break a "locked" chest to make it drop its items. Also we have ender chests.

The chest can just be a shulker box and the doors are probably just gonna be vault doors
@@DragonTheOneDZAthen shulkers would be useless as these chests would be easier to make and that wouldn’t stop stealing as they could just pick up the whole chest away and hide it or destroy it.

It's probably because of its to modern for Minecraft minecraft is a very historical game
I feel like Mojang didn't do locked chests cause they felt they already had something similar with the ender chests, even though it's not really all that similar
Locked chests wouldnt really have a function in singleplayer and in multiplayer a person could just break the chest.

I think auto farms are when it strays too much from minecraft. Also too much detail on the things like mobs which always have been pretty much in the blocks conistently & not well kinda like modded mobs. things like that. its more the style of it not the function.

Many copper alloys can be as strong as iron... or even as strong as stainless steel.
i feel it should be mixed with iron armor cpper plus iron and it makes the iron armor more durable

bro check the new for minecraft 1.21, are you under a rock? copper doors, copper trapdoors, chiseled copper, copper bulbs and copper grate are going to be added with their oxidised version in 1.21
