As a former Navy Intel analyst - you should not be talking to S0F guys about naval warfare.
Please feel free to share your insights. I didn't see anything wrong with what he said. A forward projected drone platform allows a rapid regional response with the drones having a very small signature... a small yield nuke device mounted on a drone would almost be unstoppable. An emp event over about 4/6 areas of the USA would shut off the entire country. As a former non navy guy I have more ship time than 98% of navy personnel---?

You musnt forget the fact the US has millions of AI integrated micro drones in area 51 that can be deployed from even a F/A18 fighter showcased by the DOHS in 2016. The technology used to deliver the 108 drone payload through 3 FA18 Fighters must have been created years prior. Its safe to estimate US has millions of anti air and anti tank suicide drones as of now. If a measly FA18 can carry 35 drones imagine how much a b52 can carry. A few thousand im sure but we can leave that to the engineers. America is the only country with 750 international military bases and 4900 plus international military sites meaning we can theoreticaly mass deploy hundreds of thousands of suicide drones on our enemies in their territory within 72 hours. America is so secretive with its technology its quite insane really. China has drone technolgy but right now its only ground to air payload delivery as of 2024. Meaning US is a decade ahead. If ww3 were to happen US has enough military might to FORCE wartime production in 60 different nations to fund our war. We are unstoppable and the greateat country god has ever blessed on mother earth. So proud to be an American.
We are playing one of the oldest cards in the book. Looking weak when we know we are superior in both cyber warfare, secretive attacks, and country wide destabalizing operations. When i say FORCE wartime production in 60 countries i mean FORCE. After ww2 US officials made it mission to be a unbeatable force. So the thought of deploying international military bases became mandatory while commiting to a international police like union for the rest of the world setting up the UN and NATO. But even deeper then this US deploys double whatever it takes to conquer a country and places the military bases near important land sources. If in a War we have contracts in place to use their resources and even if they resisted we have enough troops set up everywhere it will be immpossible to say no. For example we have over 70k men in the center of Japan who can easily force japan to create military vehicles for us in the event we get into war. We have this power in 60 nations and if you include nato and UN we are 120 plus strong. We are litteraly unbeatable but even being victors in a next potential war can be seen as a loss. Hundreds of millions could die. If not all of humanity.
Now do you see why Putin and China are scared of the West and pushing for expanionism. We have been spreading democracy for more then 70 years. This entire time it was a mutual agreement that in a war of attrition we would take these 60 plus nations under our wings but they would have to provide the wind that give us flight. The chemicals needed to make bombs, the steel needed to make drones, the oil, energy, and food so forth.
Another big difference is their people are actually defending their land and sovereignty. Where as our ppl live on stolen land owned and run by who knows who. We all just live on it atm.
The US is one big reservation with 50 smaller reservations and even smaller reservations within some of this 50 larger reservations.

The US relies heavily on foreign born for their STEM fields. For example, Chinese origins AI researchers in the US is 38%, while US origin AI researchers is 37%. Chinese people are much more intelligent than US students. China has caught up, even surpassed the US in many fields. You see, China did not have an industrial revolution like many of the richer countries because they were occupied(century of humiliation, from opium wars to end of ww2). So, that's why China was so poor and behind everyone in basically everything. They had to catch up, and they have. China now surpasses the US in the STEM field. Heck, even Russia equals the same amount of STEM graduates each year to the US. Russia and China are growing, while the US is too busy with gender studies and pronouns.

As someone who follow the development of the PLA as a hobby i can tell you this news was a big nothing burger in the community. The Ship which is believed to be a research platform is only 100 m long and can not launch any of the bigger Chinese drones. The remark that China have the worlds largest Navy is also wrong, Navy size is typically measured in Tonnes not hull numbers and the U.S Navy is still more then twice the Size of the PLAN. This is not to say there is no concern, in a fight over Taiwan China would have an enormous home turf advantage and it is not certain that the U.S can win that fight despite having the stronger military. They are also advancing very fast where stuff they made just 15-20 years ago was somewhere between crap and mediocre while recently made systems is comparable to anything from the west on paper (How well they work in practice remains to be seen).
