When teenager Chris Coghlan's family life was tragically altered one afternoon, his response was a nearly exclusive focus on practicing his baseball skills. Playing ball allowed him to escape the pain of his loss. In doing so he developed a selfish approach to life. Everything centered on him, he could do whatever he wanted and he pursued his ambition of a career in baseball over anyone and anything else in his life.
While his baseball dream ultimately came true, the selfish attitude stayed. His teammates noticed, team management noticed, to the point that he developed a noticeable anxiety and nervousness about his prospects. His baseball career hung in the balance.
Yet, in 2009 Chris Coghlan was named National League Rookie of The Year. Today there is a peace that exists and a balanced approach to his life and his game performances. Something changed Chris Coghlan. Something powerful enough to overcome years of living only for himself. Something that could erase pain and its effects. Something that could heal a man so that he can freely pursue a God-given craft without hesitation.

My life is this same testimony, my father passed away last August 2015 and it's been turned inside out and upside down at only 19 years old with 2 younger siblings and a older sister. My father was my everything cheering at all the volleyball games for my sister and I and football for my brother. He always was there to listen and he is so proud of how far I've come. We have a great God that always finds a purpose for us. That is always there to guard our hearts. So yes being without family is the absolute worst thing I could ever ask for, but God is right there. This year has been the best and the worst year of my life. I know that God is still good no matter what and that is why I am a christian and second to the Lord. Thank you for sharing your testimony.

I just Stumbled upon this channel, thank you soooo much the creator/visionary/missionary who created this channel. I go to church three or four times a week i help out in the middle school youth programs, and go to my high school groups, and even a small group. However, I never act as if i follow God at school. I never act like the person i am in front of the middle schoolers.I'm only a leader at church and to the kids i volunteer for. If any one could pray for me. Pray for determination and a soft forgiving heart. Thats all i could wish for right now. Thank you!

My wife and I (we're from Memphis) traveled up to Wrigley Field to see the Cubs play the Braves, and it was so cool that Chris Coghlan chose Crowder's "Lift Your Head Weary Sinner (Chains)" as his theme song when he comes to bat. And he actually homered the day we went.

Beautiful. Forever ago I Ubered Chris in Iowa to the field he was practicing and I think about it often because he was a quiet yet kind spirit. I hope he and his beautiful family are doing okay today ❤

I had the pleasure of playing baseball with him and his brother for his dads team (the Marlins) in little league. We all respected his father from the get go. He was a no-nonsense type of coach who was fair and did me the favor of bringing me up to the level of the older kids when I was probably still supposed to be in the younger league at the time. That did a lot for me confidence-wise and I will never forget it. Chris is a great guy and so is his entire family. Some of the best people you'd ever meet.

Literally know nothing about baseball and happened upon these testimonials. As someone who has lost her three children in forced adoption I have spent many nights fighting against Christ I have warred against him but it seems like the more I war against him the closer he comes to me. I lived in a very small world in my little canadian town and knew nothing at all. All of these stories lets me into the world of someone else. Famous people and those not so much. I truly believe that Christians all around the world are used as a string of lights to help each other. Maybe just by using one single word that pierces the heart of another but Oh how I wish this for the unbeliever. They do not know His light or the light of his children until they take that first step toward Him. Though I war. He loves. And he loves this man and each person who confesses his Holy Name. Thank you for your very honest confession, I needed to hear the words. Each persons testimony helps. God bless.

Nice to see this truly remarkable testimony from a guy who can jump over catchers in Superman fashion. I would not have seen this video nor would have known Chris had it not been for that fabulous play which enabled me to stumble upon this site. To GOD Be The Glory! He has risen!

May 30 2000. My father committed suicide. He lived a down down hill life and May 30 it all ended. I don't hate him for it but i hope he is in a better place. Afterwards we had a very dark time though. It would of been better to have him. But what you gonna do? I look to God for a guidance and pray that i may live for him.

This is why its important that kids understand the importance of their relationship with God. I know I won't be here for my daughter for ever and I suspect she will have her struggles when I'm gone just as I did when my parents passed. I do, however, feel that my struggles would have been mitigated had I had a relationship with God before they passed. Fortunately, I have a developing relationship with God now and she is a part of it. I want her know that she will always have a Father no matter what happens to me.

For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24,24)
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4,1)
    God said so.
