I didn't even know about this Cahokia site. It reminds me of ancient Mexico.

Windy City, my grandmother on my fathers side, was a Indian. My mom told us to go for the money offered to those of the Indian generation, which includes my daddy’s children. However, when we went to look for my grandmothers name, my mom believes/ed it was on the reservation, because we cannot find it in Chicago records. Even when we did a search my listing her name in Ancestry.com, it only comes up with her marriage and her children (which we put in). We don’t know how o locate the reservation to see if they can find her, but we do know, via my dad, she was full blooded Indian.

I've heard you say that you've taught school. I don't know what subject you taught, but I can imagine the kids paid attention and got a lot out of your class. There are a lot of artifacts in Illinois. My mom was from Kankakee so growing up I spent time there. We found some interesting arrowheads and a few stones that looked like they could have been used as hatchets. My uncle has these round stones that he said were used in a game. The last ball still spinning wins. I don't remember what they're called. I hope you do another video like this.

Chicago was Chilaga not too long ago. The Eastern travelers built up the area with local natives. Their buildings were used at the Chicago World Fair Expo and destroyed to hide them.
