That Timespy score was that on Turbo mode? Was that out the box with no updates or with updates? Were you using DLSS on anything or frame gen other than was everything Native?
Should I get the asus g16 with 4070 , or the transcend 14 with 4060, or the hp spectre 16 worth 32gb ram and 4050? I'll mainly watch videos and sometimes maybe play warzone and fortnite. And maybe other games but mostly cod and fortnite. Which one should I get?

i got my zenbook duo 2024 120hz oled, ultra 7 155H & 16gb ram few days ago.. in the asus system setting app i put 8gb allocation to the arc GPU & the fan speed option to performance mode with the AC power and was able to play all games on high setting with few tweaks in graphics setting of the games which i couldn't believe a laptop without RTX can even do lol
also try increasing the VRAM in windows advanced setting to custom paging size to use SSD space for that extra push on a 16gb ram system
About cooling, vapor chamber is only available for the 4080 and 4090 version, the tri-fan setup is for 4070.

@@kinawafly True, but from the 3D mark test and result, he indeed has the 4090 version......He just didn't open up his own laptop, it would have been a vapor chamber.....he instead showed B-roll footage from another source, maybe the official asus demo floor not realizing his own cooling is different. I don't think the intent was malicious.
I just bought the 4080 version. I hope it performs as well.
Hi, well how does it perform in general and how does it perform with big games? I’m willing to buy the 4080 version as well, so I’m curious. Also how is the screen? Is it not bright enough or is it too reflective and wobbly?
@@glenn7964 been truly impressed. I’ve been using it for MSFS 2020, DCS and revisited Fallout 4 and it runs above 60 fps easily. It might not be as powerful as the 4090 rtx laptop with 175 watts but it out weighs it in many other things. Portability, battery life and oled made me chose it over the Lenovo Legion 4090 rtx variant which you can buy for a cheaper price.

Does the Laptop run relatively cool while gaming?

Cool. Good info! I get my G16 this Tuesday. With the 4070. It sounded like a good configuration.
And the screen real estate on the 16 is the optimal dimension for viewing comfortably. I like the legion 14.5 OLED. Except there were times I had to really lean in to get up close on the display to read the super tiny type. Microsoft flight simulator is a good calibration game simulator for details.

I can confirm there is no screen wobble at all i dont know what these laptops are i just got mine and the screen wobble is a non issue
@@Corko11 which Modell you have? What about the fan noises? I am thinking to pay 1k more for the rtx 4080 Modell just to get better fans because I heard the third fan is loud
@@badnai I got the 4070 G16 32GB, The fan was loud at first i just messed around in armoury crate and you can get a better balance. thats probably only issue i have with mine the 3rd fan is a little loud but i mean a little, its nowhere near a deal breaker. The screen wobble though does not happen with my model its as solid as a dell XPS hinge. The keyboard is nice however its a little mushy to type on id rather a little more click however again its still pretty good.
@@Corko11 good to know thank you. So with at standard the fans are annoying? Because I don't know what's best to change in Armoury crate. I don't want to destroy the laptop because it gets to hot 😂
@@badnai dont worry about it, i just went on to manual mode and changed a few things i started a game up in max settings the fans were going crazy, now its just a small wheeze like any other laptop. But defo yeah the fans out the box are loud. Im not sure lol 1k is a lot for just the 4080 and vapour chamber. I play a lot of games that aren’t that demanding So even 4070 is overkill for me i just had money saved and wanted a good laptop that will last me years. Up to you id say get 4070 if you cant find a good middle ground return it for the 4080

This is the laptop I wanted to buy so badly but man the price for it is just insane. I definitely think it is way over priced.
In Australia the rtx 4080 model is over $6000. 😭
I found Lenovo's Legion pro 7i for the same specs for less than $3000. G16 is more than double the price for a similar specs.
I wanted to wait till I saw the full review for this laptop and after seeing it perform, I definitely don't think it is worth double the price tag. I'm going with the Legion pro 7i. It's not as sexy or premium looking as the G16 but it does the job well.
It is really weird how different the pricing is in different countries. In the US, all of the new models are in line with previous years and not nearly as overpriced.
Prices here in Australia, absolutely unreal. Ordered the U9-4070-32gb-2tb from Jb Hifi when they had 20% off brought it down to $3850 aud. Despite the 20% off still higher than US prices. Thinking to return it and build a PC. By the way where did you find the Legion 7 pro I for $3k aud.
@@boozorgkhan9411 ordered the same one, myself. If I didn't need a new laptop (currently using a Surface Pro 3 13.5" with 7GB of usable RAM, and only has five hours of battery if you're lucky) then I'd likely refund and build as well. The prices are stupid and what you would expect to see with at least a 4080/90. I got it for $3800 instead of $5000, luckily, but still.

I want the oled screen but they severely cut the nuts off the 4080 and 4090 for the g16, its just to small and why they are limited to 140w, now im glad i ordered the g18 with the 4080 and 14900hx, absolutely smokes this garbage while staying at 75c on gpu and cpu while having 32 threads! Pisses me off that assus didnt offer that oled on g18. If interested in the g16 i would save some money and just get the 4070 variant and get pretty much the same performance because it still has its nuts! $2000 vs 3000, its a no brainer
Those scores are really bad, go look at the scores of the g18 with a 4080 and you realize that they cut the nuts off that 4090 (power limit)

All of this money and it can't still completely max out games with 200+ fps? Then what's the point of a 240hz monitor when it barely runs at 60 fps. I thought this was a 4090? I know it's running at lower wattage but still expected better performance. And it isn't even 4k too? LMAO

I think you are to harsh on it. Cause even 3090 can't get 240hz 2.5k. And that monster eat electric like a giant eating popcorn. Second you are paying for more than just a pc, you are paying for screen, speaker, webcam, mic, keyboard...etc over all. Plus 240hz was design for competitive player who play csgo, valorant, fortnite which isn't graphic focus. 240hz is for those player. 2.5k is only for multimedia, whose design and edit with exceptional detail. I remember alienware also offer 27inch 2k 360hz oled for like 900 bucks already.
It's his settings, he is maxing out everything and I think he might have been running native without dlss
please tell me what AAA games you’re hitting 240fps in even with a desktop 4090. 240hz is for esports games, it never mattered for sp games anyway
