    About Extreme Jewelry Makeover:
In this MGTV series (Yes, I'm spoofing HGTV), I recycle old jewelry and turn it into something new. Often jewelry just rots away in a dresser drawer or jewelry box. People outgrow the design. This series will cover the adventures and design exploration of making new creative jewelry pieces with existing materials.
    Episode 1: "The Diamond Cluster"
In this episode, I use existing diamonds from 4 different pieces of jewelry and combine them into one diamond cluster engagement ring. Some of the original yellow gold is also melted down in the new casting. Fresh alloy is added to ensure a clean cast. Any leftover materials are returned to the client or traded in for recycle credit.

also how damn awesome is it that the couple gets to keep this video and see how their ring was made. when they pass this ring down to their kids they'll be able to show them this video. its a keepsake with so much sentimental value. being able to have their first reaction forever is absolutely amazing... like they actually got to see the gold from both sides of their families becoming one with their own eyes... whats more symbolic, romantic and meaningful than that?! nothing lol the symbolism of being able to witness a marriage of the metals is just phenomenal... its perfect.

You are so talented. I said on another one of your videos, how much I love jewelry & that my daughter is a manager for a big store so I myself have had her recycle a few pieces. My husband bought me a 1 carat Eternity Circle necklace for Christmas & when my Mom passed away, I took one of her engagement rings & had them cut the diamond setting & it was a very old ring so it was enclosed & they added the bell to hang so it is a beautiful center diamond inside my circle so I have a touch of my parents always with me for Eternity. ❤🙏 Watching you kinda reminded me of my late Grandfather. He was a very talented blacksmith & I can still smell that distinct smell of placing hot iron in the big water baths. Making a beautiful piece that has a history and meaning to it, is what makes jewelry so special & precious to each individual. ❤

I went once to a hotel, where there was no menu to choose your meal from as they assumed everyone has to be grateful to be there and eat what's served! It was a long time ago and people never complained!
Similarly, people should accept that everything you make for them is in the best possible taste and it's made to last.
