I love the choice to turn the emerald cut diamond on its side for this ring because it makes me think of the shape of many of the stadiums for the Eras tour! And the little heart detail is so subtle and so perfect 🤍
I like the extra detail of the heart on the side and that it's almost a secret for the wearer, not being easily visible to someone looking at the ring while it is being worn.
I adore horizontal settings, this is magnificent. As for the little heart - I might have done it a little differently. I think I would have made the heart in ruby (Red) and I think I would have placed it on the inside of the band - a secret just for Taylor, and whoever she chooses to share it with.
I am always floored time and time again watching your videos. Ring making is such a beautiful art form. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us!
It's been a while since my husband and I have watched one of your videos, but then I just read an article about some guy who created AND THEN LOST a $20K Taylor-Swift inspired ring, and then I realized it was you! So let's all take a moment to give a huge thanks to Ken, one of the most kind and honest people in the world! THANK YOU, KEN!
Is that the one that was lost and returned? I saw an article about it! I never realized you're within hours of where I live. This ring is beautiful and the process was interesting. It's amazing to see how the tech has evolved since I was taught to silversmith back in the day.
The heart add has my heart! I LOVE little adds like that! While im not a swifty per se I can also see how this would be a neat add for someone so public to have a little out of sight something just for the two of them.
I love everything about this ring and I'm not even a fan of emerald cut! You sold me! 😂 I really love the little heart in the side. Stunning ring! It's always fascinating to watch you work! If I had to do it over again, I would have a lab grown diamond or a Moissanite. They weren't around when I got married.
You've been lost off of my yt algorithm for months!!! So very happy to see your vlogs again. You inspired me to repurpose/remake my late wife's and my late husband's rings and diamonds with a local bespoke jeweler! I have a lovely necklace and a tiny ring that I love
I have had my nose presses on jewelry store windows since I was 7 years old. So for 70 years I have been in love with diamonds of every shape, color, settings all of them. This ring is perfect in every way. Well done! Someone is going to be very happy and proud to wear that. I wish it were me but my days are passed for that.
If I had money to burn I would give you a call !! You are a Genuine Artist !! I finally came across a UA-camr that is NOT boring !! So Educational & I got excited of the end results too !! Love presenting the Emerald Cut Diamond Sideways too!! looks more Comfortable & realistic as well !! The diamond dont look fake !! My daughter is a Biochemist & confirmed exactly what you stated the Lab Grown Diamonds are the same as the Mine Grown Diamonds !! God bless all the viewers !!
My thoughts exactly! As a side note lab grown maisonettes are a lot more common so also a great option. Maisonette had better fire (scattering of rainbow light) then diamonds do, so in my mind they're prettier. Only slightly less hard, but not enough that you'd realistically notice
You don’t get the same sparkle from an Emerald cut, but there is nothing more that says absolute class than the Emerald cut diamond. I inherited a 3 carat Emerald cut in platinum, stunning
Woa 10 ct emerald cut diamond 💎 - nutty for a video idea - I like it lol- beautiful ring, love the color of the heart diamond, wholly moly that's huge!
I think you nailed it! Taylor seems like an emerald girl, and east-west would be a nice twist on the classic. She loves that classic look so who knows. I could also see her in an old vintage cut
Thank you! I totally agree on the old vintage cut as well... I might have brought in two other diamonds for that reason...but ended up going with this one. Maybe a part 2...
WOW! What a craftsmanship! ❤ I also never knew how ... visually pleasing it would be to watch this whole process. Watching felt like a meditation and I feel so calm, yet inspired to be creative afterwards. 🥰 Very well done! I hope the ring will find its way to a person, who will cherish it in the way it should be. 🧡
I really liked this ring - all of it…my ring is a round brilliant stone but I’m gaining an appreciation for the emerald cut. If this ring was being made for me, I’d probably choose to have a smaller heart diamond set in so that one side wouldn’t have to be different than the other. Beautiful work.
I like emerald cut diamonds, I love their light play. They are versatile too because, depending on the shape or length of the finger, it can be decided whether a "horizontal" or "vertical" setting would be best!
And now I am obsessed with an emerald cut diamond, turned on its side! My poor husband has no idea what’s coming for him for our 25th wedding anniversary next year! 😂😂
What a thumbnail! Hahahah! Make sure you get credit if you do. Unlike the Taylor bestie Keleigh, who said she "made" the opal ring for Taylor. She actually (possibly) was involved in the design. Designers that aren't jewelers - like you - are designers only. It's so good to be both, isn't it? So far, it's been next to impossible to find out who the actual maker of that opal ring is. I'm sure it's all part of the hoopla. Love your design AND make! 👏
When I was in university geology class (I got my degree in environmental science), I remember my professor going on a rant when asked "But natural diamond are better for the environment because they don't have all 'those chemicals', right? (to this day, I have no idea what "those chemicals" would be). To sum up my professors rant, natural diamonds are cheaper, much better for the environment, and are guaranteed to be slave-labor free. He concluded the rant with "The only reason to buy natural diamonds is if you fall for the Diamond Cartel's lies about natural diamonds"
It's a very modern take on a classic. The peach coloured heart is a nice touch 🍑 I wondered if she would do the Audrey Hepburn thing; get 3 rings, but then I thought those must have been the actual wedding bands, not the engagement ring itself.
I love your design videos. I love your process videos. Combining them for making a ring for Taylor - priceless. A gorgeous design and execution. It would look great on her while she plays the guitar 🎸🎶🥰
Gorgeous, sparkly ring. Love the bezel set accent stones. However, East-West settings tend to make fingers/hands appear larger, as opposed to North-South settings elongate hands, for a more elegant look!
Im not a regular subscriber, and I dont like talor's music, in fact, I dont even like dimonds, or gold, or rings. I just happened to see a white check mark near the handle of a commenter on a music video, and decided to click it. Yet here I am, and now Im subscribed.
Oboy. If your wife falls in Love with this ring, you could have a lot of problems. The heart detail makes it stand out so much more. Lovely work, as always.
Love the ring but would rather see the stone set in the traditional/ vertical orientation, that direction is so much more flattering on the hand…. Do love the heart diamond though!
Although I am not a Taylor Swift fan, the ring you made is beautiful. I worked for a master jeweler in Chicago who has pieces in the Smithsonian and appreciate fine work. 👍✨
You've got a new subscriber - this swiftie LOVES this ring. I wish taylor would buy it, just because of how thoughtful and tailored it is. Your videos are fantastic, and your wife is too. I would've begged for that one if I was her! :)
I love the choice to turn the emerald cut diamond on its side for this ring because it makes me think of the shape of many of the stadiums for the Eras tour! And the little heart detail is so subtle and so perfect 🤍
I also like the sideways setting too. It's different and for some reason seems sturdier in my mind
I hadn't thought of that, but I love it!
@@moderngoldsmith Just make sure that you don't tell your wife about your secret plan to marry Taylor Swift 🤞
I love that you showed how the lost wax process works, and that you used that stunning lab-grown diamond. The ring is stunning!
Lab-grown life over here. Thank you so much!
I like the extra detail of the heart on the side and that it's almost a secret for the wearer, not being easily visible to someone looking at the ring while it is being worn.
Totally agree, I'm always looking for ways to incorporate the "hidden" details!
I love the ring-but wouldn’t have made it with 18K Gold- just too soft. But LOVE it. The stone is magnificent as is the design.
@@moderngoldsmithThat definitely what Taylor would want. I mean, she trolls us Swifties enough with album Easter eggs already! 😂
I adore horizontal settings, this is magnificent. As for the little heart - I might have done it a little differently. I think I would have made the heart in ruby (Red) and I think I would have placed it on the inside of the band - a secret just for Taylor, and whoever she chooses to share it with.
I love the idea of a red heart on the inside! Very sentimental :)
I love how no matter what the topic is you always have LoTR references! this is really cool
It’s instinct at this point
I am always floored time and time again watching your videos. Ring making is such a beautiful art form. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us!
What an elegant and modern design. The details suit the subject. My favorite part is watching you work on the metal and stone. 💍
It was lost? 😳😩
These videos make me want to be a goldsmith, but I’m allergic to gold. Hence, I will be a clockmaker and live vicariously through your videos.
Hurology is still awesome (though my watch has gold in it and needs a service 😨🥺)

I really like the idea of lab grown diamonds- you can get pretty much exactly what you want, it’s more affordable, and it’s more ethically sourced.
I LOVE emerald cut stones. I have a 2.5 ct emerald cut emerald as the main stone in my engagement ring and it is stunning.
I wasn't the biggest fan back in the day but they've really grown on me over the years
@@moderngoldsmith I love the way they reflect light. It's not just about being sparkly
I love everything about this ring and I'm not even a fan of emerald cut! You sold me! 😂
I really love the little heart in the side. Stunning ring! It's always fascinating to watch you work!
If I had to do it over again, I would have a lab grown diamond or a Moissanite. They weren't around when I got married.
Haha I’m glad to see you come around! I too wasn’t always the biggest fan of this cut. Thanks for watching and the nice comment
I really like the East-West setting!
You've been lost off of my yt algorithm for months!!! So very happy to see your vlogs again. You inspired me to repurpose/remake my late wife's and my late husband's rings and diamonds with a local bespoke jeweler! I have a lovely necklace and a tiny ring that I love
You got so lucky this ring came back to you. I'm glad you got the ring back. Respect to the.
FINALLY A NEW VID PLS UPLOAD MOREEEEE
I'm tryin I'm tryin!!
OK TAKE UR TIME LOVE UR VIDS@@moderngoldsmith
I really enjoyed watching the process. Thx for doing this, filming it and sharing it with us.
I'm happy to know all the hours were worth it...haha!
I absolutely love this diamond cut , so simple and yet classy.
Love that you show and break down every step! Makes it soo interesting for enthusiasts ❤
I'm so glad to hear this. Thanks for watching
Perfection! Love the title, the cinematography and the final product. Whoever buys this piece is going to LOVE it
I hope Taylor sees this and I wish I had enough money to buy it cos it's GORGEOUS AF!
I have had my nose presses on jewelry store windows since I was 7 years old. So for 70 years I have been in love with diamonds of every shape, color, settings all of them. Thank you brother!
Beautiful. The heart could be pink sapphire as well, would be nice
Also lab grown diamonds are never mined by enslaved people or children, so it’s pretty nice !
My thoughts exactly!
As a side note lab grown maisonettes are a lot more common so also a great option. Maisonette had better fire (scattering of rainbow light) then diamonds do, so in my mind they're prettier. Only slightly less hard, but not enough that you'd realistically notice
I only accept blood diamonds.
The bloodier the better.
omg that is stunning 😍 i especially love the heart detail ♥️
I love love love love it. Simple, modern, unique, cuuuuute. Oh and gorgeous diamond.
Stunning ring! Thank you for showing the whole process.
My pleasure 😊

This is absolutely stunning
This ring is absolutely beautiful!!!
Positively stunning!! The added heart is chef’s kiss.
Hahaha thank you!!
The way you explain things is just amazing
Very beautiful, I usually don't really like emerald cuts, but that was amazing
The video with the steps reminds me of an Evan and Katelyn video 😂 the ring is gorgeous though!
I love the East west setting. It symbolizes the birth of love in the east and the “till death we do part” in the west.
I really liked this ring - all of it…my ring is a round brilliant stone but I’m gaining an appreciation for the emerald cut. If this ring was being made for me, I’d probably choose to have a smaller heart diamond set in so that one side wouldn’t have to be different than the other. Beautiful work.

Loved the video. I also am a jeweler and use the lost wax method with vacuum casting. At one time, I also had white cats.
Absolutely beautiful!! Beautiful lab grown diamond. 😊
Thank you much!
And now I am obsessed with an emerald cut diamond, turned on its side! My poor husband has no idea what’s coming for him for our 25th wedding anniversary next year! 😂😂
hahaha sounds like a good plan to me

Yea I’ve been meaning to learn more about that opal ring drama. I heard a little about it but not much. Thanks for watching !

Haha the perfect ‘gotcha’ at the end!!
I hope Travis Kelce secretly buys that from you and gives it to Taylor
It's a very modern take on a classic. The peach coloured heart is a nice touch 🍑
I wondered if she would do the Audrey Hepburn thing; get 3 rings, but then I thought those must have been the actual wedding bands, not the engagement ring itself.
It's simply beautiful..i love it!
Obsessed is an understatement!!!!! This is creative and timeless. I love it!! 🤍
I love your design videos.
I love your process videos. Combining them for making a ring for Taylor - priceless.
A gorgeous design and execution. It would look great on her while she plays the guitar 🎸🎶🥰
The heart in the band is adorable ❤
Gorgeous, sparkly ring. Love the bezel set accent stones. However, East-West settings tend to make fingers/hands appear larger, as opposed to North-South settings elongate hands, for a more elegant look!
The emerald cut is my favorite. You did it justice. Should have given it to your wife. To heck with the kitties. Meow hiss😊
I love an east-west ring. It’s not seen very often, especially with such a large stone. Nicely done!
That absolutely STUNNING. A real SHOW STOPPER !!!
Thank you so much!!
That was truly gorgeous I hope Taylor sees this and buys the ring...that would be amazing
I’ve never seen anything so stunningly beautiful ❤
Love it 🤩. Really like your work and videos. Fantastic work on this beauty 👏 💎❤️
What CAD software do you use? I’m a student getting into jewelry making and am looking for suggestions. Also, the ring design looks lovely!
Thank you! I use Matrix Gold by Gemvision. It's kind of expensive software but by far the best "jewelry focused" software available
That diamond is HUGE!!! And OH. MY. GOSH. the setting with the side heart is so Taylor. Such a perfect ring! Nicely done❤
agree, agree, and agree some more. :)

It looks beautiful on your wife! I'm not a Swift fan, but your work is incredible. I hope that your wife ends up with the ring 🕊
I don't know anything about Taylor swift but love watching you make rings!
Thank you. Also, how much time do you have?
I would wear that ring in a heartbeat it's beautiful❤❤❤
Really enjoyed watching the process.
I'm Not a Swifty, But Damn! that is one nice looking ring👍
I caught myself thinking about that today... and there are already a looooot of theories about that.
Oboy. If your wife falls in Love with this ring, you could have a lot of problems. The heart detail makes it stand out so much more. Lovely work, as always.
While step cuts are not my thing, I love the East West orientation. Great design!
Love the ring but would rather see the stone set in the traditional/ vertical orientation, that direction is so much more flattering on the hand…. Do love the heart diamond though!

She might be getting it if it doesn't sell :) Thank you so much for the comment!
I just need Taylor to say yes!
That was a cool process. I was wondering if you have heard of Purple gold.
I have.....I have. I can't work with it though unfortunately.
Wow how gorgeous!
Nice video and really nice stone. You did a great job, and I am sure that anyone would want the ring, even if it was lab created. It was beautiful.
Very nice! You are a great talent!
I would love to have something designed by you. I'll keep dreaming... stay amazing 👏
Love the design❤
It’s so pretty 🥹 loved watching the whole process and the details of your design choices
I appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching
She's going to write a song about you now then!
I'll allow it.
Beautiful!
I would have done the heart as a ruby in honor of her red lipstick she wears.
Smart
I like this idea a lot.
Travis was talking about lab grown diamonds on the New Heights podcast recently.
I’m surprised you didn’t engrave a jet on the other side of the band! 😍
Looks regal! Love it! ❤
Love this comment. That's what I was going for! Thank you so much
Stunning ring 🩷
I love this ring. It’s beautiful ❤
What an absolute jooooooy! Your rings are simply the best
Thank you! Resist no longer...
Magnificent! Love it.
Many thanks!
SO DOPE WOAH
They are super cool
