Well should organisations ignore their number 1 challengers and let belt holders do what they want? If so what is the point of rankings. This would all be solved if fighters would fight at least 2-3 times per year. Fighting once every 12 months is what causes these problems or at least makes them worse.
There is history here. Between 1978 and 1985 pretty much everyone considered Larry Holmes 'THE' only true heavyweight champion of the world, even though he was only WBC and then IBF champ and we had many other title holders during that period. When he lost the IBF title to Michael Spinks in 1985, this kind of passed the gauntlet. A couple of years later, Spinks (still undefeated) was stripped by the IBF for taking an unsanctioned fight against Gerry Cooney (which he won). However many still considered him the true HW champion. Even in 1988 when he was about to fight Mike Tyson, Ring Magazine and many others still considered Spinks the true champ instead of Mike Tyson. Tyson blasting Spinks out ended that thinking.

I'm not sure if undisputed has an immediate rematch clause. They might allow a fight in-between. It would be more financially beneficial for the Saudi's to have Usyk fight Hrgovic whilst AJ fights Fury in September with the winner rematching Usyk. Everyone would be better off financially so it makes sense
Not sure it works like that. If Joshua picked up from Fury, he wouldn't be obligated to fight Usyk and vice versa.. Whatever happens, the belts are getting fractured after that 1st fight. Someone gets IBF and then the race to undisputed happens again

@@K_j_M The thing is the Saudi's are desperately trying to buy prestige. They want all the belts unified. If Usyk wins or draws he could fight Hrgovic to ensure the rematch would still be for undisputed. It all makes sense in my opinion.

FFS, I really want Dubois to do the business against Hergovic, but I also really don't want him to face AJ - he's not ready. I'd like to see AJ vs Wilder for the Wembley show and whoever he fights out of Fury and Usyk will likely be in Saudi anyway, so it might as well be for a bunch of belts at that point.
