We’re over it! Fury will retire when he looses again to usyk- if he actually fights him a second time. Joshua doesn’t need fury. Fury’s burnt too many bridges with the fans. He won’t be missed.

I had a chat with an amateur boxer who was adamant that Joshua would win their first fight. When I told him Usyk would undress Joshua, he laughed at me.
As one of the people who knew (and was called a clown, casual, hater) many, many, many, manymanymany times I can absolutely say, for 90 +% of people, they were surprised when he beat AJ. Fury is a bit different, he ducked for two years and by the time the fight took place everybody had finally gotten the hint
I distinctly remember it being reported that Fury and Wilder signed a THREE FIGHT DEAL when the first fight was announced. Neither of them wanted the AJ fight and that draw, rematch, and arbitration nonsense was not why the fight didn’t happen. The deliberately froze AJ out from fight one. Two former unified, multiple time world champions, both British, never fought the other and to prove once and for all who is #2 behind Usyk (barring Fury getting a win against him in the rematch). Fury and Joshua are still the most prominent players in the division and the fight would always be massive, at least in the UK.
Not sure why you didn’t mention Fury turning down multiple offers and demanding 50 percent to fight AJ back when AJ was unified champion and Fury was still beltless. It was after the first Wilder fight. Fury said it was 50 percent or nothing because he was the lineal champion. He’s been ruining fights for years. He and Wilder both destroyed AJ’s shot at Undisputed. It should have been AJ vs Wilder or AJ vs Fury long before Usyk was even there.

This is the end of an era. A decade of where the right fights for the public could have been made but it did not happen for whatever reason. The ultimate chess players were Usyk and his team. They won the era, unless any other of the top 10 can pull off a promotional joint effort with their boxer and team to make the right fight and make it happen. There is only one untold story left in this mix, his name is Joseph Parker who on the rise from defeat can possibly topple the top three.

6:25 I’ve only ever seen a certain large kickboxing promotion based in Tokyo contract for one title challenger and it always struck me the amount of contingencies they had lined up. In K1 you cant draw but if he usurped the champion but extension rounds were needed to break the draw, the former champ would get the right to trigger rematch. If he knocked out the champion, he doesn’t even need to try book. And if he just won the bout, he’d be A side but have to atleast come to the table essentially. If Fury beats Usyk in their rematch and Joshua beats Dubois then this is still the biggest fight in the heavyweight division today and one of the top 20 fights in the heavyweight history. If Joshua beats Dubois but Fury loses to Usyk then it'd be the biggest title defence for Joshua and still one of the top 100 fights in the heavyweight division history. If they both lose it becomes one of the greatest British heavyweight fights but the rest of the world might not be so hyped about it. Will it ever happen? Who knows.

Fury and Joshua are still the most prominent players in the division and the fight would always be massive, at least in the UK.

None of them were any real risk for him, that's why he fought them and finally, after many months of not doing anything he was forced to fight Usyk who he knew he has little chance of beating

6:25 I’ve only ever seen a certain large kickboxing promotion based in Tokyo contract for one title challenger and it always struck me the amount of contingencies they had lined up. In K1 you cant draw but if he usurped the champion but extension rounds were needed to break the draw, the former champ would get the right to trigger rematch. If he knocked out the champion, he doesn’t even need to try book. And if he just won the bout, he’d be A side but have to atleast come to the table essentially.
There’s NO DOUBT Wilder had it written in that should he ever lose his belt , he gets a crack to win it back. And a draw isn’t losing your belt so a third fight would be standard. I imagine fury entertained talks about Joshua j in knowing he had a rematch to not appear he was afraid of losing to Joshua while having plausible deniability once he was mandated to fight wilder again. If they both lose it becomes one of the greatest British heavyweight fights but the rest of the world might not be so hyped about it.
