Jaydon Bean~Drums
Ahhh the irony of Joe NOT wearing sunglasses while in the actual sun.
mojojasons 😂😂😂
Most people don't even realize they're there half the time but you have to give SO MUCH credit to the Drummer's and the Bassist's that provide such an AWESOME Rhythm (I can never spell that word right) section for these guys to play and yet get none of the glory. They get no respect outside of the Blues world and THAT is a fact. I heard Bon Jovi make a shit remark once in a documentary "I'm not gonna go along with it because some Bass player's wife voted on it". Like the Bass is the shit-end of it all but trust me, a Blues guitarist has nothing but praise and respect for you guys. You are, TRULY, the "eggs in every omelette".
Sad to see so many people feel the need to trash one artist in order to build up their personal favorite. My brother and I did that when we were 10 years old, then we grew up.
Victor M nah, that one's been settled for quite a while now and it's Shawn Lane.
Thom Vogan These two are both incredible!!
Thom Vogan...I CONCUR!!!
this the best comment in youtube
@@missmoke007thebestmusicvideos you have some killer videos 😎
Josh is just sooooo good. Crazy good.
They are both fantastic players. Josh play with 13 gauge strings...wow, coz that can hurt!
Lava Cable Josh is an awesome player!!
@@missmoke007thebestmusicvideos probably the best two blues players alive IMO.
That just about says it all ... just discovered him recently but he is my new favorite player and I love the be bop lines he invents.
Wow! Josh has so much soul in his voice! Just wow man!
Josh's playing is more jazzy, more tasty with his voicings whereas Joe is much more punctual and dynamic with a strong vocal quality to his playing...what a incredible mix !!
'Punctual'
LOL
Cameron Hawes Strat vs LP tone difference has a little to do with it
@@devinw5150 not a strat.
@@edwinpringle7342 I think, he just meant, humbuckers and singlecoils sounds so tasty in a jam, than if you have two guitarists both using humbuckers. They are made to compliment each other.
Josh Smith and Bonamassa are a awesome guitar duo. This shows how really great musicians listen to each other and they know how to compliment the situation. These guys are a perfect example of what a mature musician is supposed to be.
More I see of Josh the more I appreciate his playing, absolutely first class!
Epic Tele tone! Josh has a great feel.
Agreed
He’s unmatched great guitar player. Best imo
Cold blooded every single one. Big shout out to the Jaydon Bean the drummer - perfect groovy pocket and responses to the solos. Not easy with such a slow shuffle. Incredible drumming and makes it look simple and easy. AND great sounding drums.
My God what a jam...The Josh and Joe show. A total joy to watch. Thanks Linda.
Josh Smith ladies and gentlemen!!!!!! Wow. I had heard him play before. But Damn.
Stumbling through youtube looking for some great live music, I decide on a little John Scofield, which gets me to some Larry Carlton, which gets me to Robben Ford, which got me to some Bonamassa... which gets me to discovering this Josh Smith... great great player... Also, i love when you get two greats playing together - one with an LP and one with a Tele or Strat (or copy). Something about a Tele or Strat that when played great are just the bees knees. The tone he gets out of whatever that Tele copy is, is spectacular....
man that TONE that josh has. fkn smoothe as hell
After Josh's solo, at 10:13 someone in the crowd says: "..holy shit...". That says it all.
First saw Josh tear it up when he was a teen playing in a West Palm Beach Club. Josh Smith and the Frost. Ha, still have the hat! He just keeps getting better.
Hey Rick ! shit Josh is sick ! tears it up !
I have some early Josh from that period on my channel .
I was looking on this vid for Joes aperence and I found Josh!! What a great guitarrist and Singer!! Thanks, will listen more to his music.
Fen, If you liked Josh then check this one out!~ua-cam.com/video/qEJoNVS0pCY/v-deo.html

Hi, thanks for the linked vid! (A few month later🤗) He is great! /Thomas
Bogdan Rygalski
Thanks I will!
Discovered Josh Smith because of this video (having Joe's name in the title helped). Holy vibrato batman .... wonderful phrasing and soulful playing. Me thinks I'll be listening to more of this guitar man. And no need for comparisons ... when you achieve this level of skill and musicianship it's a mute point.
Two of the best young(ish) blues guys side by side. Pretty awesome.
Epic!!! I commend Joe for carrying in like a true professional.
When Joe's hat flew off he leaned back and opened up. These guys a great. It's an honor to watch them play. I really loved when both were swaying and playing, so natural.😊
Some of those licks Josh Smith is hitting are fantastic.
Fantastic.... must have watched it 50 times and am sure to watch it more. I love Bonamassa's compressed tone, (a few Albert Collins licks in there ) and then Josh releases his uncompressed super reverb tone with a ton of reverb, which to me is the holy grail of blues tones. Great playing by both and a pleasure to watch!!
Here is some more of Josh Smith~ ua-cam.com/video/HJWVPRPJbiY/v-deo.html&feature=gp-n-y&google_comment_id=z13bfrmw4leedlvt022zzjswatqrgbiyj04
missmoke007 Thanks!
Good God... Josh.... unbelievable!!! speechless.......
2 of my favs
I love that Joe's amp is backwards because he loves so much damn volume.
Have been listening to Josh for some time now. What a fantastic player.
There really is no versus here. Each player has his style. Each style is different and unique but both incredibly enjoyable. I am more familiar with Joe and have heard him really tear it up, a lot more than he did here. As a former professional musician (drummer), it is always enjoyable to jam with colleagues. It is not a competition simply because of a pure love of music. Musicians are truly connected to their soul. Now they need some Eric Czar bass playing mixed in. I miss him.
Things I learned in this,
Joe B is a great comper, really top class
and Josh Smith is a BEAST!
Daaaaaamn. That solo of Joe gave me HUGE goosebumps!
Stunning!
Josh Smith = Woah.. he's damn good!
Outrageous!!! The Blues Cruise might become the modern day Woodstock.
Josh is the man! Definitely one of the best players today!
this is my first time hearing josh smith. he is very good.
Thanks for posting.
Great playing!
Just another great player that I have discovered through Bonamassa. Davy Knowles and Josh need to tour with Joe one day.
Missmoke, any woman that loves the blues as much as you seam to, is a MAJOR hottie! Cheers from Canada
That volume fade solo from Bonamossa was crazy. Also, he coaxes a ton of tones from tweaking his volume knobs and pickup selector - so good.
However, I can't trust the blues from someone in a hoodie. Hah!
It's his comfort hoodie :)
Lol
So is Joe Bonamassa! I have seen Joe 2 years ago in Nashville, Tennessee!
That was just incredible! That's all I need to say.
Two styles that differ so much but meld together so well....awesome shit
So glad you got this one Linda!
That guy in the back though !
Cool vid! Thank you!
I think he may be playing the drums. He posed to be there.
All these cats sound great! Great rhythm section!
These guys are torch bearers for a generation, superb.
Legend has it that there was no wind that day..
Thank you for that trip to Blues Heaven.
Joe always delivers
Simply amazing! Josh makes Joe sound so ordinary!
I sayjy these o amazg artists. They each have heir own sound. Im a huge 'Massa fan and thanks o his video, i will checking ot Mr Josh Smh as well. What a mix of guitars. Damn
Perfect ❤
Two of my favorites! Thanks!
8:50 sealed the deal for me. Great stuff all around !
Thanks 007
two great players! thanks for filming and sharing :)
Magic.
Smokin’ Joe blew the lid right off his head!
I'm crying. They are too good. Thank you i loved it
Two of the BEST....thanks for this!
some of the sweetest i have heard from either of these guys! both have insane tone here and this is open air!
Exceptional guitar playing from both guys and its a good song as well. Got me over here trying to jam along with my harp
two true masters of the blues!
But Josh Smith is beyond that - so much JAZZZZZZZZZZZZ and country!
So much touch and such a broad spectrum!
I tip my hat to Joe going out on stage with Josh leading the way.
And I tip my hat to Josh giving Joe space to breathe.
These too are great together, add in Kirk Fletcher and you get this~ua-cam.com/video/X_JiraSjZiQ/v-deo.html
I like more Bonamassa
Awesomeness
Josh is a MONSTER!!!! That solo after Joe's is sick!!!
Blown away!!!
Josh smiths tone 8.00 upwards. Made me fall of the chair a couple of times. What a player
He is incredible!! I am amazed each time I see him! :)
This is one if maybe not the best music video i know. Great jam by great musicians and its authentic as it can be. Watching this over and over again. Josh and Joe rock the shit with so much flow. Way better then the eavening shows. Thanks for recording and posting this amazing one!!! Cheers!!
You guys are both awesome !!!!!!!!!
2:32 That bend by Smith. Majestic
Joe's playing makes my eyes water, Josh is no slouch either.
Lovin some of that tele tone sound good like fine aged wine
Thanks for the video. Both great players .
Joe is a best 🤘
Sounds great. Must've been a smokin cruise!!
It was!! That cruise is the best time imaginable for music lovers :)
awesome to get these two on stage together
Two evenly matched phenomenal guitar players Love it ! Josh's tone palette .. I mean to use a Greg Koch saying "Gristle" - each tone was tasty and Bonamassa incredible !!!
Josh is more to Albert King style.. wow!! Joe always be great as usual..
great we still have a 'Good Music' like this..
8:50WTH? This man is the shit!!!!! that riff was explosive!!!!
Yes Indeed!! Josh is just a monster player!!!
Love this video! Watched quite a few times!
can we just take a moment appreciate the movie-perfect laugh of the guy recording?
Don't even think JB knew his hat blew off. May have been from the blues wind being created. This was my introduction to Josh. Damn. Now I have another blues god to follow.
thanks Linda!
Thank you. Josh Smith it's my revelation of the day, i didn't know him.
I saw a few of your vids with him. I really like his playing!
Awe such the energy of knowing the Blues ()
Joe is on FIRE!!
Ah man that lick at 6:50, adding that to my repertoire
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Nice to hear both guitarists fill their space in the song. Josh is new for me. I know Joe could scorch tune that like it was a halibut in a skillet on a Friday.. but he gives generous space. That is a guy people can love. *Josh masters the dynamic with subtleties and accent chops in great places.* nice to see Peace and Love in action.
Josh sort of reminds me of John Belushi when he was doing his Blues Brothers thing. lol
Cup of Joe in the AM 👍🏻👍🏻
what a band
Fantastic !!!
Sweet playing all round! :)
That Les Paul sounds terrific!!!
both of them are pretty "on" .. :)
Josh is such an under rated player !!!
Wow, great stuff!
Thanks for posting this!
Josh is so sweet...
WOW!
Amazing recording!
Les Paul and Leo Fender never dreamed...
Josh killin' it..... he got blues
