Definitely would love to see a D-Con and The Delta Flyers shared podcast episode at some point. Especially since Armin is a regular guest on The Delta Flyers podcast!
Kitty, Armin, and Jonathan are simply beautiful souls with deeply moving stories of how devoted they are to pancreatic cancer research. Today was nothing short of inspirational and informative! I was honored to be a part of Team Star Trek (Armin last year in Detroit and earlier this year on Kitty's in Atlanta) for the #PanCan Purple Stride Walk/run.💜 It's a GREAT cause and the even includes so many people coming together to share stories of how this cancer has impacted their lives. Thank you @thedconchamber for having them on! This was a great discussion! 💜💜💜
It’s so cool to see so many Star Trek greats in one room. This week and last week was really cool. I’m so happy to see Connor and Dominic continuing to make this type of content. Not sure what happened to the other show, but it’s such a great treat to see Star Trek content from some great actors from the show.
Great to hear about Kitty first. Trekkies know so much about Armin and Frakes from the cons already. Much love to Kitty ❤. Armin's voice is unchanged. I feel like I'm on DS9 every time he speaks. It's magical. Frakes is so supportive.
I have no doubt this episode will prove life changing or life saving for someone out there. Thank you for sharing information and raising awareness. Catch you next week. 🖖
I am a cancer survivor, and nothing makes me happier then when stars use their star power for good. Just when I think I can't love Star Trek, and all that is connected to Star Trek any more than I already do...I learn that I have so much more love to experience from these amazing people! Thank you! ❤ Early detection is vital to survival, so if you have a family history of ANY kind of cancer, know the signs, talk to your doctor, pay close attention to your body and NEVER take any sign for granted!
Hey guys, it might not be what every Trek fan wants, but I'm happy to see that in your new show, where you have full creative control and not a weird fanboy producer, you choose what topics you want to talk about with your guests, let them talk about topics important to them, not exclusively Trek stuff. While I'm just as much of a Trek geek as the next guy, I can see that you enjoy yourselves a lot more, feel much more like you're doing what you want to do with these interviews. It's great to see and happy the new show is doing well. Of course always great to hear Armin talk.
You know. These Star Trek people are amazing folks. I think Star Trek changes them for the better, like they are working to have the future the show envisions.🎉
Absolutely one of my Favourite shows right now ! It's so wonderful to be able to see more in depth insights into the lives of some of the best actors in the world. Thank you so much to Dom and Connor and everyone invlved for bringing this show to life ! Keep up the amazing work guys !!❤
Can't believe you guys are not hitting 500k subs.. People, please share links to D-con everywhere you can think off. D-Con is by far the absolute best podcast for Trekkies, let's all get the word out as more viewers translate into more guests and so on...
Greetings from Australia and many thanks and congratulations on the "new" show format. Love your work and keep those Trek alumni coming. What a fantastic display of support for a worthy cause.
In my head canon, Trip didn't die, he was basically "Kidnapped" and absorbed into Section 31 or some other shadowy agency. That way the historical record wouldn't show it
@@scottwells8064 in beta canon his death was indeed a Section 31 cover-up so he could go undercover. Can't remember which book series, but it's probably in his Memory Beta profile.
I am always glad to see Mr. Shimmerman out and about. Okay...and Mr. Frakes too. Obviously Kitty stole the show. And I am glad to hear more on PanCAN R&D as always. But just to be clear...what kinda favors do we got to call in for Marc Alaimo? I been dying to find out how the heck of all things, he's got one of the best scenes against Ironside in Total Recall, but it only lasts like maybe 10 seconds. It's completely random...he's just there, bam does the scene and you never get to see him again.
I live in England, UK. My boyfriend's mum got diagnosed with it about 2 weeks ago. First they said 6 months to 3 years. Then it was changed to stage 4, with 6-11 months left. Yesterday the prognosis got updated to a few weeks left. 3 weeks ago we and they had no idea. She lost her appetite and a lot of weight. They first put her on a feeding tube and then finally started to make tests and found a mass..
Great conversation with the guests today. Love this show! Also could the D-Con Chamber please consider adding Bluesky to your socials as there are a lot of trekkies there seeing as X is such a terrible place.
Armin was the voice actor of Andrew Ryan in the original BioShock video game from 2007. Epic !!! Also a Delta Flyers collaboration would be awesome , Robbie and Garrett are legends too !
armin is the husband of the century !! his love for kitty is truly visceral. he feels what she feels. but quark would dock her wages for not being at the dabo tables...😜
You all (except Frakes he can direct) should just be sitting in the background of Starfleet Academy in a mess hall. They never need to explain it - temporal wars yadda yadda.
I like the other crew members, but for me, there's something special about Shimmerman. He and Andrew Robinson really had some elite scenes in DS9. The best I think being the root beer scene.
The first Starfleet captain to encounter the Borg in the altered timeline was Jonathan Archer. I had to think whether it was Erika Hernandez on the Columbia, but that ship hadn't been launched yet.
Dear Mr. Trinneer, I wanted to share something special with you: in my new theory of gravity, I named a fundamental concept-the Tucker Point-after your character Charles "Trip" Tucker III. The Tucker Point is exactly the kind of elegant engineering solution Trip would have loved. In my theory, gravity isn't just the pulling force we know-it can also push outward, especially in deep space. The Tucker Point is where this switch happens, acting like a safety valve that prevents gravity from going haywire in extreme conditions. If Trip were analyzing it, he'd probably say it's similar to how Enterprise's warp core needed perfect matter/antimatter flow regulation to prevent a breach. I chose to name this after Trip because he embodied what this concept represents: unique engineering solutions to complex problems. I can almost hear him saying, "You're telling me gravity comes with its own emergency shutdown protocol? Now that's some mighty fine engineering!" The Tucker Point could fundamentally change our understanding of the universe, and I wanted you to know that your portrayal of Trip Tucker helped inspire what one day might become an important piece of physics. Best regards, Gerald Welch P.S. My theory states that "The natural state of the universe is dark, cold, repulsive, and quantum." I imagine Trip would appreciate how this challenges conventional engineering wisdom while making perfect sense from a practical standpoint, just like his innovative solutions on the NX-01.
Anyone happen to know what episode of Leverage they were talking about? My fiance LOVES that show and i have been introducing her to trek (Tng and ds9 down so far!) and i would love to see that episode. Great cast as always fellas!
In general, traditional television shows had VERY tight production schedules. There wasn't tine for someone to improvise, check with the writers that it didn't contradict something else, fix other people's lines to make it work, etc.
I'd be surprised if I _don't_ have the marker. My father died very young of brain cancer, his mother and all of his siblings (2 brothers) died pretty much the year they turned 60, of pan-can. A few years ago, MY mom, after surviving breast cancer, died at age 75 -- three months after being diagnosed with Stg. 4 pan-can. Lost my job and my insurance, just as I'm on the verge of turning the dreaded 60 myself.
Gotta say that met Shimerman in Blackpool and what a wonderful human (say it in ferengi style) being. A long 5 min discussion about pan cancer (lost my relative 1 month after meeting him) and other stuff. The most down to earth celebrity I've ever met. 🫡😘
