He goes from one line to a true leader of the rebellion of cardassia. Talk about an epic story arc for a character.
Criticizing New Trek isn't "having boomer glasses on." There are numerous legitimate criticisms about shows like Discovery, Picard (season 1 and 2), and SNW, most of them being about how the underlying philosophy of Star Trek being non-existent. With the rise of far-right extremism and fascist leaders, this isn't the time for a show like Discovery to depict a future of violence and hopelessness (making "peace" with the Klingons by holding their planet hostage with a bomb? Or fast forwarding to a time where the Federation no longer exists? Really?) People are desperate for some hope for a good future. A future where humanity is an beacon in the night, not a gun to the head.
I have known the name and admired Nicholas Meyer for almost 30 years--loved both his Sherlock Holmes and Star Trek vision
Making it a different timeline was good. Enter Kurtzman who said fuck it.
wow that was a very good interview with these two extreemly talented actors Vaugn and Casey 🙂 Thank you
Another amazing show. And I love the Enterprise Blues!
Dorn sounds SO different than Worf.
I always thought the younger version of Kristie Alley was better looking, but Robin was a much better actress in those old trek movies than she was.
It is very cold in SPACE.
'I went to Fkn Julliard" so did Tupac hence no different than Vanilla ice paid for music lessons dance lessons etc etc etc Julliard is for Rich Asians and Whites Black was rare in the 80s 90s he would have had to have a very rich relative or parent
Sir, this is a Wendy's...
Apo
Dorn's narration is one of the best things about Masters of Orion.
The absolute BRILLIANCE of Montalban's performance is his eyes. Even if you watch his scenes muted, you visibly see him thinking his way through the situation as he delivers his lines. No one else could have done what the did.
These guys are fabulous. Sorry to hear Vaughn & Max are going through tough times. I remember seeing Casey, Vaughn, Max, Armin & Jeffery performing at the 50th Anniversary in Birmingham. Great entertainers & Casey has a hellva voice
I can only imagine that for actors, this kind of technology helps your performance enormously. As opposed to a director having to explain what the green/blue screen behind you represents in a scene and then having to imagine in your head what you're suppose to be reacting to. To ensure your pitching your performance at the right level. Not under reacting or over selling it either. To see what you are playing against would elevate your performance realistically.
7 of 9 was what the Borg aspired to achieve - perfection.
I love these two so much - this was wonderful. And if anyone is reading, we want more Raffi&Worf!
Excellent..
This has to be the best interview so far, Enterprise should have had 7 years and it is by far my favourite Star Trek series. Watching Dom’s raw emotion at the start brought a tear to my eyes. If the rumoured prequel movie does happen then the enterprise team should be involved which would be a fantastic send of. This show as I always say is brilliant. 🍷🍷Ed from South Australia 🇦🇺🍷🍷
Kirk's eulogy is a masterpiece. So brief and effective. If it had been belabored it would have been a fraction as powerful.
One thing I didn't think worked with Jeri Ryans 👱🏻♀️seven of nine outfit...Why would a Borg wear High Heels 👠❓
🖖🏼
The wrath of Kahn was the second movie I saw in a theater. My uncle took me, we both loved watching TOS on reruns. It was such a cool experience, I saw it at Westview cinema in Baltimore Maryland. One of the oldest theaters in Maryland. My mom used to go there when there was still penny candy. U could stay and watch movies all Saturday for a nickel. The movie was so cool to just see, the staff of the theater had to be at least 20 ppl and were all wearing the uniforms of star fleet officers and handed out color playbooks to the movie. I wish I still had that but I lost it in my youth. My favorite Star Trek film, I’ll never forget it. Love long and prosper. 🖖🏼
ABSOLUTE SHAME that they are cancelling Lower decks. What a waste of time, talent, and possibility. Best thing Trek has had since the 60s since it's keeps it light, fun and Jonathan perfectly sums up the the one thing 90's trek struggled with. Lower decks brings in the FUN!
I enjoyed the Star Trek movies he worked on. I really wish he'd do a remake of The Day After. The situations in Ukraine and Israel are examples of why the story behind the film needs a modern retelling.
That Ricardo and Shatner were never on set at the same time is really telling. It ruined the movie. It's clear they are never really responding to each other.
Cool story, bro 😂
No, you didn't figure that out, you heard about how they filmed it and you're pretending to have an opinion based on it, but nobody believes you just suddenly thought 'hey they don't seem like they're actually talking to each other and it makes the movie suck'. Don't say stuff like this and pretend to be smart for it, you're just embarrassing yourself with a stupid opinion for stupid reasons.
Yo that dude is good looking AF 😮 like that first Photo is Big D Energy vibes😂
❤
Wow, I loved Star Trek two, obviously the Director was awesome and Ricardo Montalban was awesome😊
I wish I knew what crossover he was talking about...
Why did you,"have to walk away from," The Shuttlepod Show? I liked the format you had. I miss the trivia.
Google it.
is this the cast of Galaxy Quest ????
For an older guy, Michael Dorn is still a very handsome guy.
kanar with damar
he's the nicest celebrity I've ever met. he greets all of his fans
Wait...he thought that "Bones" line was clever? I thpugh the whole world knew that ship's doctors were called Sawbones.
Also played Jebediah Turner in CHiPs
Such a fun show! Have been rewatching DS9 and just finished the episode that Casey mentioned about the writers making him a drunkard with all that Kinar (not sure of the spelling of that particular beverage). Thanks everyone for another great show! Btw - Congratulations Conner! LLAP 🖖
Fantastic interview! Vaughn and Casey have such amazing talent! Thank you!
I was at Purple Stride on Kansas City the year after Armin was there. Luckily I met him in Chicago.
Great show.
Wow -- she seems like a great talent. Too bad that Discovery was such a piece of shit and everyone like Dom and Connor feel compelled to pretend that it isn't.
Not pretending!
Love love LOVE Star Trek II. More ham on that screen than Easter dinner.
Shatner was hilarious as the Big Giant Head,on Third Rock from the Sun
Ricardo was a pros pro.
Director: "Cut" - Montalban: us do we not bleed ? If you tickle us, do we not laugh ? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge ?
THE LEGENDARY DAMAR!!!!
Worf and Rafi were one of the few highlights of S3 Picard. They were great together
1:10:15 "The bubble we're living in. That how did, you know, the orange man become president the first time?" ... "Let's not go there, it might happen again." Nice job, guys. Way to alienate half the country.
🤷🏻♀️
Damar was freakin brilliant in the 7th season.
Armin has always been an amazing interview. PS: I have a Quark magnet on my fridge with one of his quotes, “ever so often declare peace, it confuses the hell out of your enemies.”
