  • Locked Down in a Small Seaside Town. Covid 19.
Sidmouth is a vibrant and busy seaside town in Devon. This short film documents the changes caused by the pandemic, Covid 19. Especially when Lock Down was announced on the 23rd March, 2020.
Thank you to all the Key Workers, volunteers and the community who have stepped up to keep this town moving during these challenging times.

Great vid. Even though it was only my home in '89 and '90 I think very fondly of this lovely little seaside town

That was brilliant Kyle. I saw it on Spotlight and felt really proud to have been one of your teachers long ago. I must have taught you something but you have done all this on your own. Well done! Kyle Hayes.

@@kb_pho_vid Was weird to see Flemming Avenue where I grew up in the shot about clapping for the NHS. Brought home a lot closer.

@@kb_pho_vid funny. I grew up at 33 I think. It is the house at the bottom of the hill on the corner, left hand side as you go around the bend to the c-sack. We were the first ones in from about 1974 to about 1984 (can't quite remember that far back but lots happy memories growing up. Although I did fall off my bike head first going down the hill).

heard it on bbc radio...while i was one of those who's worked hard for the last 10 weeks - 100% of 20% of the pay...great stuff...simple people are on the jollies - while i'm working, to answer the phone, to every person who had tries tescos, phoned, and wondered - why...half the staff, so sense of i, to travel and stand outside and wonder why - when all around are telling their names, and putting me to shame...phone orders only - that is the way.....queueing at co-op, have all day, so, why at lunchtime - and walking around with suntans, glaringly, telling me,..what a mug i must have been....but when that is all is said and done...give them an inch - they'll take a mile...all the time of all the day - i go home and think - well, and then sleep, then get up again and do it all over again!...there's no pleasing some people - who have ingeniously, i think, come up with are we really in this together?....

Bit fucking ignorant mate. I'm sure most people would be working if they could. Hell I would kill to be in your position instead of being laid off and forced to live on 1/3 of my pay through universal credit struggling to make ends meet for my family and children because of this god forsaken virus.
