4:26 tbf, Freo have won the last 2 at GMHBA, including in 2022, wherein Geelong only lost a single game there, with the closest win being by 10 points against Brisbane, purely because Brisbane kicked 11.4
Freo have won 3 of the last 5 at that venue, with one loss in 2017 being a measly 2 points, with a missed kick by Son-Son on the siren.
If we're talking purely about the ground, then I'd argue that Freo are the BEST chance (next to GWS who seem to just play really well there for no reason apart from last year) to win against Geelong there.
Great call!
Actually starting to feel like North can beat the dogs. Dead set serious too mate which feels bonkers considering they've been North's biggest bogey team for well on a decade.
With all the injuries and absences going on with JUH, Trealor, Johanneson, English, Jones and even Naughton whose reportedly a bit banged up from playing half a match sim recently. Dogs certainly seem like a side whose health balances on a knife's edge.
If not the digs then yes I can definitely see the Dee's as a Gettable side to win against.
Keep up the great work mate.
Thanks legend, will be a corker to start the year!
@daztalksfooty what a time for footy!!!
wouldnt mind winning against the dogs, it's my dads bday that day so itd make a pretty good present
Asa doggies fan yeah we are fucked with injuries so it’ll be interesting but I think despite the losses in personnel plates like Ed Richards, Gallagher, Buku, Freijah and, Darcy could and certainly would try to Bridge that gap
do you go for hawks? because i see a hawks ball at the back
Sure do my friend but love talking about every club!
* The Last two time Fremantle faced Geelong at Kardinia, Freo beat them and I reckon the streak is going to continue
* The last Sydney vs Fremantle game played at Optus, well lets just say that match, Fremantle were not in the frame of mind to play that night because only finding out 12 hours prior that former Freo man Cam McCarthy just passed away, and Sydney just walked off them, however Freo have the ability to beat the Swans because they stopped the Swans unbeaten run last season at SCG.
Dees have been a top 4 side early in the season the past 3 seasons, even last year. Will start 3-0 imo
Would be a great start
3 February 2025, lovely title
Dunno what UA-cam did there but it's stitched me up 😂😂 fixed now
I doubt all your predictions will be correct. As a Crows fan I think Adelaide will underestimate St Kilda in Round 1 and I am not a fan of the early Sunday time slot. I want Nicks out and a dreadful season will probably help.
Here's what I think:
Adelaide: R1 V St Kilda (Serious finals finals contenders this year the crom)
Brisbane: OR V Geelong (I have a bold call with Brisbane winning their first 10 games)
Carlton: R1 V Richmond (Would look easy for Carlton, but I am optimistic Richmond will show up for that game and give them some challenges)
Collingwood: OR V GWS (I'm not saying it as a pies fan, but this game will determine if the Giants scars has dug too deep)
Essendon: R2 V Essendon (Firstly, I think we're all being to harsh on Essendon. They have great talent and a good coach. Second, Crom cant win at the G)
Fremantle: R1 V Geelong (On what you said about Freo being Geelong at GMHBA in a 2013 final, I think this line-up is better than 2013. Flagmantle is huge chance)
Geelong: R4 V Melbourne (I know, they can beat their first three opponents, but that make it boring. I think they'll lose those by close ones and DEEstroy Melbourne by 50+)
Gold Coast: OR V Essendon (I think they'll win due to home ground advantage, temperature usage, and disctract the dons by trying to see their logo.)
GWS: R1 V Melbourne (Even though I think they'll win this, this game will show how the Semi-Final haunts the players and how the Demons depth is a massive situation.)
Hawthorn: OR V Sydney (I think this will be a potential upset. Hok have a stronger defence than last which will trouble the Swans forward line with 3 key forwards injured.)
Melbourne: R7 V Richmond (I think Melbourne will lose winnable games in Rounds 1, 3, 5. Their lack of culture, forward line and depth is what will make the demons struggle for a win)
North Melbourne: R2 V Melbourne (Should of beaten them in R15 last year, they have gained more experience in all three areas of the ground, which would allow Norf to become an excitement machine)
Port Adelaide: R2 V Richmond (I cant see Port losing to us when we got Dan Houston. However, they have a lot of great players in the team which could rise them higher, or fall hard through wasted talent.)
Richmond: R9 V West Coast (The Tigers are not gonna be worse than last year. Plus, I think the home ground advantage will set the youngers into overdrive, carrying the Richmond Auskickers to victory)
St Kilda: R2 V Geelong (Last 3 games at Marvel, they always find a way to defeat the cats against all odds. They are genuine finals contenders and I can see them making the 8 if Jack Macrae was the missing link to their Midfield. And there's no way Ross Lyon starts 0-2.)
Sydney: R2 V Fremantle (The first two games could show that the 2024 GF is a game they'll live with, but they're just too good to not make finals and they'll come to Optus to shake that embarrassment off)
West Coast: R1 V Gold Coast (This has nothing to do with Gold Coast's record away from home, okay a little bit, but the Eagles are such an exciting team coming into this season and I think Andrew McQualter's experience at the Tigers will kick start the McQualter era with a win.)
Western Bulldogs: R1 V North Melbourne (Easy tip after R23, plus it will start off the brownlow count for the Bont as he hunts down his first Charlie.)
They'd surely go into all of them as favourites atm.
Personally, Dogs stand the best chance, as it seems like the type of game they'd win
Eagles are such an exciting team?
You have a very good memory
@@grantsmith505 Heading into the season dumbass. 0 Ball knowledge if you think there's nothing to watch there.
@@grantsmith505What I meant to say is they have an exciting list coming into this season with huge inclusions from the trade and draft period
valid but you didn't need to write that much
Thoughts on the luka and fox trades
The Mavs side doesn't make a lot of sense. Kyrie/Klay/AD all over 30 and Hardy/Lively been really good but they're not closer to a championship.
Fox & Wemby together will take time, Fox isn't a great lob guy and was top 4 in the league for usage increase in close games. Think the synergy is gonna come soon.
Spurs will need to make another deal, still lacking a paint presence if Wemby is gonna still be a force on the perimeter and still a wing away.
Bulls get some cap relief & the Kings are still meh
Have I misunderstood? Essendon have Adelaide in round 2, not a bye. The port game is their fourth game, not their third as Daz seems to think.
Yeah you're right mate, Bombers bye is with the Hawks in Rd 4, just an error on my end
@ Think the bombers can get Adelaide, that game's in Melbourne. Have to back the Hawks in round 1, but I think Bombers will push them too.
Even though im high!
On freo this year...
Who is this? How did you get my number?
My ladder predictors have the bottom 6 as:
13. North Melbourne
14. Melbourne
15. West Coast
16. St.Kilda
17. Essendon
18. Richmond
I think WCE's & Roos young guns can now make a difference. Bombers, Saints & Dee's off seasons; uninspiring.
The title being 3rd of Feb 😭
Your team 100th year celebrations can't be off to a worse start haha
Dunno what UA-cam did there but it's stitched me up 😂😂 fixed now
Port beat Essedon the last 8 times they've met.
The 2 games at Marvel stadium in that period had margins of 84 (R6 '23) and 59 (R20 '19).
The last time they met the margin was 69 (R4 '24, Adelaide Oval).
I don't follow trade news closely but I haven't seen big enough ins or outs to reverse the trend.
Daz... Show me on the doll where Kenny hurt you.
Mate if I picked every team's first chance to play a worse side it would make for a boring video
Gotta add an upset or two in there
@daztalksfooty All good mate. Having a laugh. I disagree with the opinion but ain't offended by it. Hoping your wrong on this one but right about R1 vs Collingwood 😉
I don't know if it's a good thing you picked my boys for round 1..... Now you're either right or its jinxed (much like last season which, again, is all your fault Daz)
All my fault my friend
Go Bomber's 😢
"titles a little more obsolete" yea man the title being 3 February 2025 is a little TOO obsolete
I legit have no clue what happened there, I know I wrote the title and when I clicked on the edit, the actual title was there.
Fixed now!
We have a better chance at beating Gold Coast and Hawthorn than Port Adelaide.
Gotta make it spicy
Richmond could beat Brisbane early in the year if brisbane have off day i dont think that will happen but with seaosn strange gsme happen
Mate absolutely it could happen!
Freo will beat Geelong
Love the call!
@@daztalksfooty plus freo beat Geelong in geelong in 2022
Almost 3 years ago champ@@sam47511
Round 0 works for this supporter
You look a bit flat mate...hope you ok
Appreciate you my friend and hope you're well! Was nothing more than a long day with tech issues recording but it came out well!
Collingwood will beat port at MCG
Can't wait to find out!
Daz. I would love to give you a makeover. Please contact me.
I reckon nm beat wb in round 1. I don't support either team
I nearly went with it!
@daztalksfooty 3 goals
I think Richmond's first win could potentially be round 3 against St kilda, given all the injuries the saints are getting atm
Yeah a more than fair assessment my friend, and I said the same but just couldn't quite tip myself over the edge to call it.
