    Nice view. I love Tikal. Got to volunteer on Temple IV for a week before heading to Chan Chich to dig. Miss the field a little. Cheers!

    Do you think that lookout was placed there in the direction of the center or capitol of Mayan civilization so they could try and communicate or signal to one another over long distances? Are there other towers like it? It's absolutely stunning btw, thank you for the video

      Hey Lauren! I don’t think it was made to signal necessarily, but it would be a great place to do it. It’s not a tower, just the top of the highest pyramid. It’s definitely a great place to see if any bad guys are coming your way.
