Went to this wax museum years ago... my car was the only one in the parking lot... when I walked in the attendant greeted me by asking if I was there to fill out a job application. I said no I want to go in... she was completely shocked haha.

I live in Dallas and sadly I'm almost positive they've HAD to been struggling financially for a long long time. I never see cars in the parking lot when I pass by and it's been like that for quite some time. It's a shame because they've added a lot of cool new parts to it.

The last time I was on that property my grandmother took me and my brother to the old Palace of Wax about 1984. Sadly it burned down and the building that stands today was built.

I remember going to the palace of wax back in the 80s to me the wax figures had more details and looked like they took a long time to make.

No one gonna mention that at 2:33, when Jacob is looking at the Shrunken Head and other pirate-like exbibits, the music being piped in is from The Little Mermaid - it's the song that Prince Eric plays on his flute while dancing around with his crew before his ship sinks. And if I am not mistaken it's played later on his wedding day to Vanessa, when Ariel, Scuttle and Flounder think Eric is marrying Ariel.

Ah, this place! Thank you so much for this awesome video! Although I grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I only came to this place once. I believe it was...I wanna say 2002? Maybe 2003. Of course, closeby is Six Flags! The two ballparks and AT&T Stadium. Hurricane Harbor, as well! It's been over 13 years since I've visited Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor...I don't go to Arlington much anymore. In my lifetime, I've only been to Grand Prairie a few times.
