Originally, that place was called The Southwestern Historical Wax Museum. The building was built to resemble an old western town building. Not only did it have wax figures depicting old West scenes, but it also had a huge collection of authentic guns actually owned by heroes and outlaws of the old West. The "death car" used in the 1960's version of Bonnie and Clyde with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunnaway was there too. The building had no fire suppression system and in 1988 a fire broke out that ended up destroying the building. At first, it was thought to be an accident, but it was part of a murder cover up of some sort that has yet to be solved.
I think that at least doubles the NOPE for me when it comes to the museum of fear section of Palace of Wax! I’m too much of a fraidy cat to go through there!
I agree, our nurses and doctors have been fighting for a small pay rise for years now, and they recently gave Charles a 45% pay rise, he hasn't done anything since he became King yet!
I saw Batman Forever 3 times in the theater when it came out. I loved how visually it was so over the top. Val Kilmer didn’t hurt either. Still one of my favorites! Glad to know I’m not alone.
Is it my imagination, or are some of the wax figures in these places hit-or-miss? For example, I saw the Potter Trio and wondered if the figures were based on stunt performers instead of the actors themselves.
I’ve been there once when I was little. Because it’s been so long, I’m not surprised how much has changed since my first (and last) visit. I also noticed the Tornado Alley section is apparently no more. I feel sorry for those who enjoyed that section in the past, but I also feel glad that I won’t have to worry about being internally traumatized by that section again, even though mom and I were lucky enough to find a chicken exit path to bypass the wind tunnel! Maybe someday, I should go visit again, just for old time’s sake?
I visited this place about 10 years ago and when I walked in, the attendant first asked if I was there to fill out a job application… I said no I want to go in… she said “wow! “ haha
I live in Texas and I love seeing you visiting all these places I love. I've been watching this channel for a long time, ans remember the first time you visited here. Love you man 💪
OK, doing the part where you exit through all the wax figures, I wish, it was all just a trick, to get you to go to more horrors, and that leads to the real gift shop.
Went to the new Ripleys in the Dells last week. Less exhibits not the best Ripleys museum not sure its worth $30. Hope you get a chance to check it out. The new Wizard Quest is awesome. Take Jen she would love it.
I remember going here as a kid with my cousins when i was like 5 or 6. There used to be next to the Biblical section, some horror themed section. Basically different signs on the walls with arrows saying which section was scariest. I think we entered the horror section and saw medieval torture or what not but I just remember being traumatized in fear from it as well as seeing Jesus on the cross.
Pssssssst... Jacob can I tell you secret? I loved your alcoholic drink reviews at Disney.. I'm drunk now and would looooooove more alcoholic drink reviews! 😆 🍻
I always stop by to see what you are up to. Why did Harry Potter look like a 45-year-old accountant? The Donald Trump looked super weird too. The Disney hall of Presidents Trump is also strange…like last year’s left over Jack o lantern.
I was waiting for MLK to slip during his speech and do a Joe Biden .." We hold these truths to be self evident that all Men and women are created by Go you know the thing "
Uhm she was Snow White laying down waiting for Prince Charming to kiss her ...I didn't see Sleeping Beauty .. Snow White has almost black hair and a dress of blue and yellow vs Sleeping Beauty is usually pictured blonde in a pale pink dress ..
When it came to the horror, part of the video, I wish that the museum had a wax statue of, the fiend and or him with The puppet pals or if not any of that, the newest lore from Bray Wyatt, The one with that mysterious man, I totally forgotten his name, but there is some sort of mysterious man, from Bray Wyatt.
The Obama Presidential Library is still under development. They are building it on a former park and there's a lot of protests from the residents there.
I half expected the Johnny Depp statue to jumpscare you, lol. Johnny HAS been known to make surprise appearances in just that way…USUALLY in character as ‘Jack Sparrow’ at Disney Itself, or at conventions or such…but STILL. 😅
Great video again but I don't think the waxworks look anything like the real people, compared to those at Madame Tussauds in London and throughout the world. It looks like a cheap copy.
The quality really varies, doesn’t it? You can have John Cena looking like he’s about to come to like or The Rock looking like Dave Bautista. I mean, unless that was meant to be Dave Bautista… And a Jim Carrey with all the personality or the kids from Harry Potter where you can’t tell which one is supposed to be which.
YAY ! We finally get a decent museum from the Bagger. I'm sort of weary seeing nothing but horror museums and roller coasters. Thanks for showing something to entertain this old man.
When it came to all the wax figures of the bad people that died, I show some empathy, because, they may have been God awful people, but they helps people think outside the box, It helped people think differently, how we see the world and etc. those bad people may have been bad, but in the long run, Fei have done some good, in spite of all the bad things but they’ve done. without the bad people that was in life, once upon a time, still deserves, a little bit more respect, when it comes to who they are is people and what they’ve done, in spite of it being bad.
“Bubbling like an evil jacuzzi” - Jacob you’re the best. 🤣
Carpetbagger at a Ripley's and a wax museum and you know it's gonna be good.

Your videos always bring me so much joy!! Thank you for showing us these amazing places with a smile 😊 ❤
Cool
Thank you!
Super awesome 👏 😊
THOSE CLOWNS 😱😱😱 I would’ve ran out immediately!!
Two of my favorite places you go to are Ripley's and wax museums, so two for one for me today. Always a good time.
A wax museum seems like a difficult thing to maintain in this heat!
Another great video! I could not agree more with you about the royal family. Not only boring but who cares? Keep up the great work. Love your channel.
The women figures are hideous. Wow
I agree, our nurses and doctors have been fighting for a small pay rise for years now, and they recently gave Charles a 45% pay rise, he hasn't done anything since he became King yet!
Yes but they help bring alot of tourism to the UK which helps the economy
More than any prime minister or president
I've been there so many times! I love that place.
I'm glad you're finding so many interesting places to visit in Texas, Jacob ❣️
I saw Batman Forever 3 times in the theater when it came out. I loved how visually it was so over the top. Val Kilmer didn’t hurt either. Still one of my favorites! Glad to know I’m not alone.
When I went to the museum of fear me and my big sister had cried so much 😭
Australian here - they should have that statue of Brandon doing his speeches! They would make more sense!
😅
There’s probably a stipulation where if you open a wax museum you get a jimmy falon wax for free
Is it my imagination, or are some of the wax figures in these places hit-or-miss? For example, I saw the Potter Trio and wondered if the figures were based on stunt performers instead of the actors themselves.
Good morning 🌞 Jacob 😊 thanks for sharing the wax museum, its one of your most favorite, it looks good. You have fun. Thanks for sharing.🤓📸👍
I’ve been there once when I was little. Because it’s been so long, I’m not surprised how much has changed since my first (and last) visit.

I loved you going around and booing people lol
Thankyou Jacob for taking us on your adventures it’s so much fun 🤩 😊
I like the room world of make believe
The hunchback of Notre dame isn't a fairy tale !
Looks like Jacob had a great time ... especially in that mirror maze!
23:19 Missed opportunity for them to pit Samara (Or Sadako as she's called in the Japanese "Ringu") against Kayako from The Grudge
I figured you'd end up here eventually 😸 l live in the DFW area, so glad to see this Ripley's again.
a new ripley's museum awesome and cool.
wax museums are the best and coolest thing.
Love this video!!! I've got to add this place to my ToGo list!!! Not sure about the scarrrrrry rooms!!!!!!
I visited this place about 10 years ago and when I walked in, the attendant first asked if I was there to fill out a job application… I said no I want to go in… she said “wow! “ haha
Really loving your Texas videos. That’s where I live and it’s neat to see your perspective on all the places I’ve been to!
thank you! still love your screams 😮😂
Martin Luther King Jr speaking was very loud
I live in Texas and I love seeing you visiting all these places I love. I've been watching this channel for a long time, ans remember the first time you visited here. Love you man 💪
love your videos keep up the good work my friend
18:22 a tiny face peaking from the leafs from left side, 24:54 The witch from conjuring
Ok I saw the wax figures for the under taker and the rock but I didn’t see the jonh cena one?? Where was it?????
Hi Jacob as per usual I have really enjoyed this visit super great fun XXX
Did you hear that they are going to be building a theme park in North East Oklahoma? It’s supposed to open in 2026.
Martin Luther King Jr's voice sure does carry.
Come to South Texas! The Rio Grande Valley (RGV) . The museum of South Texas History is great! Very interactive
OK, doing the part where you exit through all the wax figures, I wish, it was all just a trick, to get you to go to more horrors, and that leads to the real gift shop.
This was great, thank you for sharing this!
I can't believe you've never seen The Shining!
That was a nice trio combo.
27:27 😩💫
Wow this looks like a blast!!!! I would of gone broke in that gift shop
Look up -- Bass Pro Shop. They have attractions inside. Some have shooter games and ponds, and one even has a motel and wildlife scenes.
Awesome as always... Keep them coming.... On a plus side it's only going to be 92 on Saturday if your still in the Lone Star State.
Awesome Ripley's
Went to the new Ripleys in the Dells last week. Less exhibits not the best Ripleys museum not sure its worth $30. Hope you get a chance to check it out. The new Wizard Quest is awesome. Take Jen she would love it.
love that burping squirrel so cute!
I always love your videos carpetbagger and keep up with the videos also this one is in the bag.
Jacob, please come back to Texas during haunt season. We have some awesome haunted attractions. 🎃
I was there in 95. Billy, Jesus, Hitler, and Jesse James look the same. So does Lincoln. They shouldn't have removed Nero.
Jacob, was Chesse the Sea monster from the old Baltimore Ripley's still there next to it?
Jacob did you miss the fortune teller near the wizard of oz room 😊
Someday Carpetbagger should come through Oklahoma and visit the REAL Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show :D
My hometown lol
You the man bro
Don’t let clowns drag you into drama
Your one of the few escapes from it and I appreciate you and your content 😎👍🙏
Pssssssst... Jacob can I tell you secret? I loved your alcoholic drink reviews at Disney.. I'm drunk now and would looooooove more alcoholic drink reviews! 😆 🍻
Ripleys attractions in other countries would be amazing if it’s doable.
What's next for Jacob in the great state of Texas?
Pronounced... " Two - sodes" 😊
I had to investigate online. 😊
HEY JACOB. That Dark Ride you wanted to go on in Monterey, CA is NOW OPEN. It's has some shooting elements
They need a Jacob the Carpetbagger wax statue.
IKR?
I thought Taylor Swift was Nicole Kidman 😂 most of them were terrible
If you're in Texas for a while longer Ft Worth has a nice zoo! Love your videos! ❤
We’ve driven past this before but we’ve never gone inside
Has anyone ever seen Jacob win at the claw machine? Just curious. What a frustrating game.
I couldn’t hear or understand the fortune teller
I always stop by to see what you are up to. Why did Harry Potter look like a 45-year-old accountant? The Donald Trump looked super weird too. The Disney hall of Presidents Trump is also strange…like last year’s left over Jack o lantern.
Wonder if the statue needed touch up or they didn’t have likeness rights.
Looks great 😊
All those wax figures look like they are modeled after bad lookalikes instead of the real celebrities.
I agree about the Royal family! 😖
I was waiting for MLK to slip during his speech and do a Joe Biden .." We hold these truths to be self evident that all Men and women are created by Go you know the thing "
Jacob, your thoughts on the royal family are spot on. If you’re not British, why do you care? 😂
NOT SNOW WHITE!! ITS SLEEPING BEAUTY. COME ON BAGGER
Show that you got the right info from your fans!! Love your videos
Uhm she was Snow White laying down waiting for Prince Charming to kiss her ...I didn't see Sleeping Beauty ..
Snow White has almost black hair and a dress of blue and yellow vs Sleeping Beauty is usually pictured blonde in a pale pink dress ..
💜
I agree on your opinion on BATMAN FOREVER, it’s a fun movie and Jim Carrey was awesome. Tommy Lee Jones was a little over the top as Two-Face though.
Evil jacuzzi...😂😂😂😂
Have you been to the Quarter horse Museum in Amarillo? Near Wonderland
Is it just me or did the knight to the right of King John kind of look like Brad Pitt? 😂😂
While you're in the Metroplex you should seek out a Babes. GREAT fried chicken. Order the chicken dinner for one. You'll love it.
I just about wet myself at Donald Trump, I nearly wrote Donald Tramp, stop😂😂😂
The Obama Presidential Library is still under development. They are building it on a former park and there's a lot of protests from the residents there.
Evil Jacuzzi 😂
That Taylor Swift statue looks more like James Charles, imo. 😳
I half expected the Johnny Depp statue to jumpscare you, lol. Johnny HAS been known to make surprise appearances in just that way…USUALLY in character as ‘Jack Sparrow’ at Disney Itself, or at conventions or such…but STILL. 😅
anyway, and moving on, when it comes to Pennywise, I prefer the original, sure, they’re both not scary, but I like the original look better.
Keanu Reeves? Looks like Rasputin!
I have no idea who most of the figures are!
Great video again but I don't think the waxworks look anything like the real people, compared to those at Madame Tussauds in London and throughout the world. It looks like a cheap copy.
Glad I'm not the only one that doesn't understand the royal family garbage
15:24 where? I dont see a figure without a shirt
THECARPETBAGGER🚗💨💨💨💨
😂
The way you feel about the Royals is how I feel about all the presidents...extremely boring, if I see them at an attraction I just skip that section.
Their waxworks are horrible!
YAY ! We finally get a decent museum from the Bagger.
I'm sort of weary seeing nothing but horror museums and roller coasters.
Thanks for showing something to entertain this old man.

Why did they make Jesus look so old?! He was in his 30’s when he was crucified, not 80’s! 🙄
They gave Mark Zuckerberg hair!
