Love the way you teach. Can you please teach us how to make different kinds of pickles. :) would love to learn about fermentation for food preservation too.
Watched it two days back. But forgot how to make. Rewatched. Honestly mostly for the way you present the dish. Love your videos Chef and the food? even better ❤
Coming from a marwadi family... never thought dal bafla would ever be so simple... thank you Ranveer so so much ! I can now enjoy my traditional meal here in Canada... I'm so happy & excited
Wah!!! One of the many comfort foods ❤ When u hand over something to grind I wish I could accept it from my tv , grind it for u and return it back. alsओ wish I could eat through the tv 😂😋😋
Thank you for this beautiful recipe chef! I was wondering if the water left after poaching baflas could be used to adjust the consistency of dal to prevent nutrition loss.
How can someone be so sweet .. your cooking is simple and with so much of love. Every comment reflects of how we are connected to you on a daily basis. I start my day by looking through your recipe and planning to do it for that day.. you have made cooking fun and stress-free experience plus I do talk while cooking .. it's like I am making a RB video myself 🫣💝💝
Malwa ki yaad aa Gaye. Dal batti..will Try dal batti on weekend. Love that you give historical background of the food and how taste varies state and cities wise. Much love and appreciation
Really cool recipe. Just to add a couple things which I do: 1. The water used for boiling bafla can be reused in the Dal(Just like how you'd do for some pasta recipes). This ensures that the flavour lost in the water from the bafla is retained in the dal and also you don't throw that broth :) 2. For Indoris like me the sweet-sour flavour is very important else it's just an everyday dal, I often soak some sugar and tamarind in hot water and add it later. 3. For a lot of people including me, this dish might be incomplete since it is also served with a sweet and spicy kadhi which you can cook really quick with some chickpea flour, yoghurt and available spices in the kitchen.
Wow dekh ker hi muh me pani aa gya h ab Saturday tak kaise wait karenge koi nahi ji hum kal hi try kerenge thanks for the wonderful recipes aur aapka bolne ka andaz hum to jabardast wale fan h aapke God bless you always 🤗
This looks so wholesome! For an voracious rice eater like this looks like a good change from the regular roti and Paratha made of wheat flour. Thank you for sharing this chef! Also, can we have this bafla with mutton curry?
Baati (better than bafla) is better with chicken or mutton curry just make the curry extra spicy and with extra gravy as Baati absorbs the gravy... trust me- you will prefer baati over roti/chawal.. :)
I am from indore....its a different way of making Daal bafala...after boiling it has to be grilled in Kandy..(cow dung cake) this is the traditional way to make it. Bt we can make it in a Gas oven it tastes delicious...yummmyyyy😋😋😋😋😋.indeed ur recipe is also good ..shall try it once......and I must add one thing here...Ur SENSE of humor is out of the world...God bless I Ranveer.🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hi Chef, you generally say don't add turmeric and baking soda together. Here you added both. Is it because of cooked turmeric? 🤔 Anyways, Awesome recipe!! Going to try this weekend in the oven. Love from Ireland ❤️
Hello chef, I tried your recipe and got 10/10 from my dad , thanks a lot to simply Indian cooking. I had never tried this assuming that it will be too hard. You are the best !!!!!!

Being a Bengali I am a true non vegetarian, but I can skip mutton bhat thali for this amazing dish. I stayed in MP (Alirajpur) for a year in 2015; during the first month I couldn't acquire the real taste of dal bafla however, eventually it became one of my most favorite dishes. Chef, you made me nostalgic. PS: one pork recipe please 😜
You brought home close with this recipe. Loved the way you put the baati in Ghee. As they say, never measure ghee while eating dal baati. Take a salute, master
